Every customer at Bill Estes Chevrolet is important to us and great communication is the start of a great service experience. It would seem that we failed you on several counts. I wish I had the name or names of those you spoke with so I could deal with them directly,but regardless I have talked with all my advisors on the importance of proper communication and the need to make sure that great customer service is the key to our customer retention. I am unable to access your service records without your information, but if you purchased lifetime brakes for your vehicle you can and should expect that warranty to be honored. There never should have been a quote given without our advisor knowing exactly what your vehicle required. When it come to brakes there are many variables that come into play, rotor condition, calipers, brake lines and fluid condition. A proper quote other than just for a standard brake job is simply not possible without a proper brake inspection. It was our responsibility to communicate this to you and insure that we could service your vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. If you have not had this work completed I would like for you to bring your vehicle in so that we may provide you with a free brake inspection and allow us to properly diagnosis your concern and service your vehicle with genuine Gm parts. If you have already had the work performed elsewhere I would like for you to bring in mail me a copy of your receipt so that we can properly credit you for the lifetime brakes that you were entitled to. I would again like to extend my apology for the lack of communication, poor response, and confusion you experienced when contacting our dealership. The holidays and weather should never have an affect on how we do business and I am sorry that your needs were not met with the proper enthusiasm. Please allow us a second chance to gain your confidence that Bill Estes Chevrolet can meet and exceed all your service needs. In responding to the dealer review posted on your site, the customer that submitted this review purchased his vehicle approximately 8 months ago. Two of the concerns were body fit and finish, and one mechanical. We quickly evaluated and addressed his power steering concern. In regards to the body fit concerns, they were both inspected and were found not related to factory defects. Only factory defects can be addressed under the vehicles factory warranty. The customer admits to having the vehicle repaired at a non-GM body shop where several repairs were performed. We were not able to obtain these records to know what the extent of the damage was or repairs that were made. I attempted to show the customer the obvious places where the vehicle had been repainted and panels adjusted. This is easily confirmed with the use of a paint guage. It is our policy and mission at Bill Estes Chevrolet to ensure that our customers receive excellent customer service. Every attempt was made to ensure this customer had a clear and concise understanding of the needed repairs and limitations of his factory warranty. We are willing at any time to discuss this matter and show the customers or a representative of the customer our findings. We would like to make every effort possible to see this to a positive resolution, but we must do that in a proper and legal manner in accordance with GM warranty. If the repair made by a body shop was not a complete repair, it should be returned to the body shop for them to complete the repair. That would be the body shops responsibility, or turned into the customers insurance. We cannot charge GM for warranty work, when the result is not the result of a factory defect.
