For 3 years, I have been singing the praises of Bill Dodge Hyundai, but after today, not so much. Back in March, with the car below it's warranty mileage limit I complained about some noises that were c Dodge Hyundai, but after today, not so much. Back in March, with the car below it's warranty mileage limit I complained about some noises that were coming from the steering. The service advisor explained to me that there were two things it could possibly be, but I would have to drive it more for them to figure out what it was. I was assured yhat the warranty would be honored if the car ended up over the limit. So, on my next service I was told they would not be able to get to it, they didn't have time. So on my next service I specifically told them to make time for the steering issue, as well as the maintenance items I wanted done. I brought the car in today for that appointment. When I arrived a service advisor questioned me on the issues with the car, and I left it with her. After about 10 minutes in the waiting area, the advisor came out and held a paper in front of my face that had 2 different lists of suggested maintaining items. One cost slightly under 1000 dollars the other about 1100. She explained i could pick items from the list and not do the whole list. I asked her to give me pricing on coolant system flush, as well lube system flush. She came back with pricing over 500 dollars. I said no, just do what I came for. I had never been presented this sort of "offer" at this dealership before, and I got a bit aggravated by the attempt at this upsell. So I continued my wait expecting things were proceeding with the repairs, when the advisor came back with a document in hand, and said I would have to sign it and that it was an agreement that I would pay AT LEAST 165 dollars for diagnostics to find out if the steering issue really was a warranty problem. I didn't feel that was proper after being told in March that it was one of only two possible issues. So I told them I wouldn't sign it, and to proceed with the rest of the work, and that I would take my complaints to Hyundai. So the advisor went back to I assumed get the work started. I was then visited by the service manager asking if there was an issue, and I told him it was resolved and that my complaints would go to Hyundai. He left, and the general manager came for a visit. My anger was growing with this barrage of people. Now this guy spent at least 45 minutes explaining to me how their warranties worked and how they couldn't proceed unless I signed the document. I must admit that I got angry enough with him to be a bit impolite, but nothing even remotely close to what I learned in my youth as a kid in South Boston. Now at this point not one of this barrage of people had handed me anything to read or to sign. Not a shred of paper had passed through my hands. At one point with Mr. GM I even relented and told him I would sign the document, but I would still vehemently complain to Hyundai. He would not take YES for an anwer, and went into more lessons about warranties. Well, when I had gotten angry, and threw out the term "s$^t show", he decided to have my car pulled around front, told me that I was being trespassed and that if I didn't leave the premises the police would be called. Nothing physical had taken place, I just said something not polite after 3 people were trying to get me to sign something they didn't even handle to me. I decided my time with Bill Dodge was at an end, and left. Maybe they found out about the Pallisade my wife and I bought down at Rowe, and they were pissed off. More

Nice waiting environment but scheduling and completing service are challenging. I scheduled my service for an oil change and state inspection three weeks out, received no confirmation, but called to confi service are challenging. I scheduled my service for an oil change and state inspection three weeks out, received no confirmation, but called to confirm a week ahead. As far as I know, they did the oil change but did not complete the state inspection, causing my sticker to expire and leaving me on my own to get the car inspected at a local and somewhat sketchy garage. The service manager did call me back in response to a voicemail and apologized, but my first contact when I called was defensive and proceeded to mansplain that he had no responsibility for the situation. I drive 100 miles to this dealership for service because, sadly, they are still better than the dealership closer to me. More
