Christine, You are right, the Service Department does say a lot about a car Dealership. Please contact Kent Abernathy, Susie Scadden or me directly as we want to personally review your experience in our Service Department. We take great pride in being different ....& BETTER... so we would appreciate your working directly with us to improve. We should complete a walk-around and perform a Free 27 point inspection with every guest. Because we don't push product, It takes a minimum of 2 Team Members to note a Yellow/caution or Red/immediate need to a guest. It is our policy to inform our guests of a leaking battery/Yellow caution; however, you should have been given 2 or 3 options with different prices (our Good, Better & Best batteries) and warranty periods! There should also be no pressure as we just want to advise of potential problems and alternative solutions so you don't get stranded or inconvenienced. It is always our guests decision and you should not be pressured! We should have also "shown you" any problems with the battery or dirty air filters so You could see for yourself. We do this as it is how we would want to be respected. We honor all competitive prices on the same product and/or current promotional Ads/Coupons. We even offer a 30 day Price match Guarantee on Tires if you find a better price within 50 miles of Gladewater. We are also recognized as a "Certified Elite" service department .....one of the very best in the Nation. We are serious about providing the best service at competitive prices. Please contact us (Kent, Susie or me) and we will provide you a FREE battery on the unit we serviced to help us further improve our Guest process! Most do not want to hear negative reviews; however, we know we aren't always perfect and use these reviews to improve our processes & training to better serve our guests in the future. While we understand you have declined to come back in for your Free battery, that offer is still open should you change your mind, as our review showed we failed to give you our Good, Better & Best options for a battery replacement. We can't apologize for advising you of a leaking battery as they can be problematic; however, we must have misquoted the price (we don't carry batteries at the high price your review states) and also failed to offer you our Good, Better & Best options for replacement that would have included a lower cost battery. We are sincerely sorry we failed you and your review will help us improve our service to future guests! Thank you again and we hope you will reconsider and let us replace your leaking battery.
