Treat all ethic individuals with respect. Ed cherry picks On 1/19/16 I went to Bill Currie Ford to test drive the 2.3L and V-6 Mustang. I arrived at 3:20 p.m. For internet sales apparently the computer rando On 1/19/16 I went to Bill Currie Ford to test drive the 2.3L and V-6 Mustang. I arrived at 3:20 p.m. For internet sales apparently the computer randomly places you with a sales person. I got Edward Purvis. This "sales-person" seemed rather annoyed from the start. The whole time he NEVER LOOKED MY WAY. NO EYE BALL TO EYE BALL. Some people just can not leave there problems at the front door. Then maybe just maybe it is due to the color of my skin. Within I said to myself why did the system pair this person with me. I felt as though I was wasting his time. I should have asked for someone more seasoned. Perhaps he assumed I was a tire-kicker. I worked for a drug retail store for 22 yrs and 10 months. I am retired. I have done very well for myself. It does not pay to assume in any walks of life. Mr. Purvis pulled the first car around. I got in trying to figure out the seat and steering wheel adjustments. I said to him I guess this is "self-service". He said it is. We went on a very short distance ride. HERE IS THE WORST PART. HE DID NOT SAY ONE THING ON THE ENTIRE RIDE. ZILCH, NADA , ZERO. NO HOW-TO'S, FEATURES, DEALERSHIP HISTORY, SERVICE HISTORY, NO WINDOW STICKER FEATURES ETC. HE SIMPLY LOOKED AT HIS CELL DURING THE RIDE. I PURPOSELY TESTED HIS PEOPLE SKILLS AND HE FAILED 100% IN MY BOOK!! When we returned he asked do you want to ride the V-6? I could tell--by his body language---he was hoping I would say no. I said to him no that's okay. FOR SOME REASON HE DID NOT WANT ME TO COME BACK IN. OF COURSE I DID. I ASKED FOR THE INTERNET SALES PERSON. The receptionist said is this regarding a complaint? NOW WHY WOULD SHE ASK THAT? THROUGH THIS WHOLE ORDEAL I REMAINED CALM. THE INTERNET SALES MANAGER--Scott Romano-- CAME OVER AND I EXPLAINED MY EXPERIENCE WITH EDWARD PURVIS. He simply said I have never known Edward to be this way. MAYBE I'm wrong but I do not feel he would have engaged this person after I left. My guess is they have accepted this is the way Edward Purvis is. WOW! I could tell this Scott Romana is neck and neck with his sales team. Perhaps they cover for each other. I got another sales person--Charles R. Redd-- who was okay at best. We did a quick drive in the V-6. He pointed out some features. As we returned one of the senior sales persons--Barbara Stout--I presummed came briskly driving in front of us. Charles made a not so kind remark regarding her. I think I would have liked to work with Baraba. We returned and I sat on the computer looking at others colors and such. This is not a patient man. He wants you to rush your decision. I asked for the out-the-door price for three cars and he said normally we do not do that. It takes to much time. He said customer like to take those figures and shop for better deals. Bottom line I hope you have a better experience than I did. My best car experience has been at Wesley Chapel Hyundai and CarMaxx. I do like Ford product but this dealership leaves a lot to be desired. They do not work as a unit. More like mini-franchises. Perhaps you will have a better experience with them in sales. Who knows maybe the service TEAM is better? More
