Contacted a few minutes before 6 pm on the 4th day that the Escape was ready for us to pick up. We picked the Escape up the following morning. When we got home the passenger side handle fell off in three pieces when opening the door.. Had to RETURN to dealership to complete the requested recall that should have been properly repaired in the FOUR FULL days at this dealership. Very fortunate that the handle didn't fly off on the way home; possibly causing damage to someone! The low tire pressure light went on a few miles from the dealership. My husband tried to put air in the tires. Found that the tire sensor had been snapped off. Call our tire store which suggested we bring it right to them rather than wait until after the weekend. Purchased a new one. The tire store called & said they found the sensor and fixed our tire. No charge and returned the full price of the purchased sensor. Honest Tire Store! Can't say this issue was Collins Ford fault but we didn't have an issue before taking the Escape to them. A stressful day!! Very concerned about the other recalls that Bill Collins was suppose to fix are truly fixed OR if they were even done. ZERO CONFIDENCE in Bill Collins after this experience. More
If I could, I would give them a zero! Bought a F350 truck there and took it to the service center for two warranty repairs. It sat there for two weeks before they even looked at it, two more week for repairs. When I picked it up 4 weeks later, it had the very same problems as when I dropped it off! They told me they need to order more parts as that they installed were defective. Well now, it has been an additional 4 week waiting on new parts and when I call the phone roll over to voice mail, leaving a message with out any return calls. I am sure they don't know what they are doing! I AM DONE WITH BILL COLLINS FORD! More
1. Car ordered from another dealer and contract signed for designated price. 2. Dealer lost the franchise to sell Lincolns. 3. Car came in three appox. 3 months later to Bill Collins designated assigned for designated price. 2. Dealer lost the franchise to sell Lincolns. 3. Car came in three appox. 3 months later to Bill Collins designated assigned dealer 4. Scheduled car pick up 5. Compared designated payment from Oxmoor - Payment was much higher. 6. I was endured to listen to a Hard sell from the dealer for 2 hours. 7. It was suggested that they would cancel the deal and release me from the contract. I pointed out the fact that they just wanted to get the car from me so it could be sold at a higher price to some one else. 8. They agreed to my original contract price. 9. At this point we started reviewing a card with "add on charges . 10. I stated that I had not approved any such charges and did not want any extras. One charge for $750 was very prominent ! After another 30 minutes, they dropped all extra charges. 11. All together this process took a little over 3 hours! I lease 2 cars every 3 years from Lincoln. I have been doing this for the last 20 + years. Most came from Oxmoor Lincoln here in Louisville. Never have I been treated the way that I was treated by Bill Collins personnel. To make matters worse I noticed that the 606 page operation book was missing. I asked for a copy of the book and was told that the book was no longer supplied. I was instructed to use the internet and call the book up on the screen. After considerable discussion I gave up. I want to point out that this book is required by the Federal Government as part of the Federal Motor act (NHTSA). I have now waited almost 4 weeks for the book to be delivered to me. During the last three weeks I have called the dealer and the Lincoln Hot Line. I called the dealer again (was told that they would notify the Lincoln Service Rep. to get me a copy of the book. I still do not have a book! The reason that I need the book is to learn how to correctly use the safety equipment on the car. I am older and opted getting the complete safety equipment package on the car. Two weeks ago my car suddently came to an emergency STOP! MY BRAKES WERE LOCKED UP AND I HAD NO INSTRUCTION BOOK TO TELL ME HOW TO UNLOCK THE BRAKES! Thank God I was not injured or killed !!!!. I still do not have a copy of the Book. This Book IS very important. I do not want to cause any trouble to anyone, but I am going to call NHTSA and lodge a complaint, if I don't get my book by the end of this week. I have not and will not recommend Bill Collins to anyone!!! I will continue to lease two cars every 3 years and recommend the cars to my friends, but I have zero trust in Bill Collins!!! More
The service guy was awful and did not communicate with other workers from 7:31 am until 3:16 pm missing my appointment for therapy from an on-the-job injury. UNACCEPTABLE. If I get charged for missing my other workers from 7:31 am until 3:16 pm missing my appointment for therapy from an on-the-job injury. UNACCEPTABLE. If I get charged for missing my appointment I will be forwarding the bill. More
