azTony Thank you for taking the time to offer a review of our service department, it disappoints me to hear that we did not deliver the type of service I know we are capable of. I would like to make sure that the skid plate is attached correctly. Please contact me and bring me your new skid plate and I will have it installed, I will make sure the holes are all tapped and cleaned for you. I do realize anytime a battery dies it is not convenient, I have been in this valley and with Toyota for more than 27 years now and batteries in the summer especially after the humidity kicks up are somewhat unpredictable. We do our absolute best to catch a battery before it fails, it only makes sense since it would generate additional revenue for our dealership but there are unfortunately times where we test a battery and it absolutely passes a load test only to fail a short time later. Batteries consist of separate cells and during this time of year if a cell shorts the battery will not start the car. Battery cells can short in a matter of minutes which is impossible for us to predict, there is plenty of information about this in a google search as well. I would like to look further into the service visit, however, through DealerRater I do not have enough information about your vehicle to do so. Please contact me so we can figure out the best time for you to come in so I can correct the skid plate and I can get the information I need to look further into the situation with the battery failure.
