This is Carmen Hinton and no I am not satisfied at all with the service. I do not know where to begin. I got to my service appointment at 7:35 AM which was 10 minutes before the time, as a courtesy. The p with the service. I do not know where to begin. I got to my service appointment at 7:35 AM which was 10 minutes before the time, as a courtesy. The person at the desk who received my truck said that he did not know anything about a "we owe you" which I mentioned to the appointment person over the phone. He said that they "the appointment setters" have no idea of what they do there at the service department. He said that he did see the note that something was owed, but that I would need to talk to the sales person so that he can have that arranged with Service. I explained to him that I live in Cleveland and that's a long ways for me to be going back-and-forth. I went on asking him to look into the recall for the truck, he said that they wouldn't be able to do it that day, but he offered a car wash. I said OK no car wash just do the oil change. I went to sit down and waited until 9:12 AM which I thought it was an exorbitant amount of time for an oil change. I asked the person again and he said oh I have the paper here. They already brought it, but they didn't bring the keys. I went to sit down and wait some more. Then came back up and told him I have an 11 o'clock appointment in Cleveland and I am not gonna make it if I don't leave out of here now, it was 9:24 AM by this time. He said I am sorry, but I just checked and they have your truck on the lift. They had just started working on it, and now they're working on rotating the tires. by this time, there was nothing I could do so I just wanted to sit down and waited some more. it was 9:38 AM when he came to get me and told me that he had my keys and that it was ready. I am never going back to big star again. There is absolutely no reason why an oil change should be two hours long. Even if you're short handed. You should not make appointments, If you know you are going to keep people waiting there that long. From this whole story, I also gather that the people in the service department have no idea what is happening in the service department. This is probably not your fault, but you work for the company and I am letting you know. So please, kindly remove me from your call list. I do not wish to be contacted by anyone from Big star again. There is no way that you can make this right by offering me a free oil change or any type of service that would make me go to spend time there. More
I live 4 hours away but Damon worked with me remotely to get most of the work done for a used car ahead of time. Everyone was friendly and the process was pretty smooth. The only thing that left a negative get most of the work done for a used car ahead of time. Everyone was friendly and the process was pretty smooth. The only thing that left a negative impression on me was that the car was missing a key fob and floor mats for the rear. I did not catch the missing floor mats and assumed that there was a second set of keys since the vehicle only had 9k miles and all other vehicles I have purchased have come with 2 keys. I reached out to the dealership asking if the spare key and floor mats were still at the dealership when I got home and realized they were missing, but was simply told that used cars are sold the way they come into the dealership. I understand buying as is and certainly learned that I need to check thoroughly before purchasing in the future, but it felt a little cheap after I purchased a nearly new High Country Suburban. During the buying process, I asked if everything was working or missing and was that everything was good according to their knowledge. However, now I had to buy floor mats and wait weeks until I receive my registration to purchase and program a spare key at a local dealership. Also, I see a question regarding home delivery on the questionnaire, but was told that Baytown does not offer that. If they do, that would have been nice to save an 8 hour round trip. More
