Yesterday’s service appointment was by far the best experience I have had in 2+ years. When I paid for my extended service contract, I was all-but promised a shuttle option if needed and an offer of a experience I have had in 2+ years. When I paid for my extended service contract, I was all-but promised a shuttle option if needed and an offer of a vehicle wash when my car was brought in for service. For almost two years these services have been eliminated. In fact, the last two previous times I was asked if I would like my vehicle washed, to which I replied “please”, but neither time was it washed. I am confident that the really getting old COVID excuse will come into play here, but I will carefully evaluate the recent service levels provided by Bickford Ford when I consider my next vehicle purchase. If you can't trust them with the small stuff, I sure won't trust them with the big stuff. My husband and I misplaced the key to our car. He called and set an appointment with the service team to drop off the car for the full day to get the key programmed. When we arrived for the appointment (we both had to go so I could ferry him home), they told him they did not have the key. They also said that the price was much higher than what their own team quoted on the phone ($280 total, not the $100 originially quoted). They suggested we bring by the car the next day, once they key arrived, which they were expecting that morning per the tracking info they had. Hours passed and they key hadn't arrived. We set an appointment for the following week. Same thing - we got there, and the key wasn't there, again, even though they had said it was arriving days earlier. When the key finally did arrive, they waived the labor fee, but still had us pay the full cost of the key. For that, and the quickness of service once actually completed, I'll leave two stars. Tracking information for a single part and ensuring the customer doesn't have an appointment before the part arrives should be a very basic component of their service and they did not meet the mark.
