TDI Scandal Made Worse by Don Beyer To all TDI owners who received a email from Don Beyer that they would help current owners replace their TDI and or get out of it is a scam. I went to To all TDI owners who received a email from Don Beyer that they would help current owners replace their TDI and or get out of it is a scam. I went to Don Beyer who had treated me well in the past but not this time. They claimed they would offer a fair pre diesel-gate price on any affected TDI and offer incentives to get current owners into a new vehicle or out of their TDI. Well I went down there and they offered me current auction prices for my TDI not pre scandal NADA values. Note CURRENT AUCTION PRICES. When I confronted the sales man about this he just said well I am sorry. I went to the manager Lackie and he had a NADA book on his desk, the most recent copy. When I picked it up he said "what do you hope to accomplish?" They offered me less for the car than the current NADA which is not what the email they sent said. The salesman even stated to me the manager checked current auction prices and that was all they could offer. I again reminded him that was not what the email said and I can auction off my own car. When I offered to buy one of their cars at auction prices they were flabbergasted. I said their offer was a joke, and it was. It was a xxxxxxx move on their part to come off like they were going to help current owners then try to screw them over even worse. I can hang on to the car but after this event DO NOT GO TO DON BEYER. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS DECLINED AND THEY ARE TAKING THE LOSES OF SALES OUT ON THEIR CUSTOMERS. VW WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN. They did not budge on pricing, they did not try to negotiate, they would not take a counter offer. I know I am not going to get retail pricing on a trade in but I did not ask for it, I gave a reasonable counter offer to their offer they did not attempt to even counter it, they just said this is what we will give you. I bought a TDI because I commute and enjoyed the fuel economy and liked my first TDI. Now I have an unsellable car and a dealer I bought 2 cars from added insult to injury. I know some may see this as silly but how would you like it if your new car, 1 year old, has no resale value and the dealer contacts you stating they want to help their customers then insult them by offering a wholesale auctiom price, not even NADA. Don Beyer: If you are trying to drum up sales how about not doing it at the expense of already pissed off customers. More

We will be back for further service to our vehicle because our experience with their customer service was great, but also because other mechanics dread the sight of our V70 while they knew exactly what they were up against. Tire issue We were on a trip to Virginia when we experienced a tire issue. The dealership was helpful and very professional in dealing with our situation. The new tires and alignment made the right home to Charleston uneventful as it should be. I believe in Volkswagen and have never had a bad experience. My diesel Passat is a great car and the fifty miles per gallon on the freeway it is a real money saver. More

Their service manager Ali is a child that will hang up on you after telling you"do you work for free" and your response is anything besides ok ill pay you. Told me oh well im sorry you were niss informed but we dont work for free.... the misinformation came from your dealership so therefore liability is on you not the customer grow a set and learn some customer service More

Efficient, timely, and thorough The service department was expecting me, the loaner vehicle was ready, and little time spent between dropping off my vehicle and on my way in the loan The service department was expecting me, the loaner vehicle was ready, and little time spent between dropping off my vehicle and on my way in the loaner. A member of the service department called me when the check-over was complete and allowed sufficient time for me to return to the dealership and pick up my car. Paper work was ready and waiting. While pleased with the way the service was handled, I was not pleased that my new Volvo with under 2,000 miles needed to be checked for "check engine"light. More
