Oil was leaking the entire way home I guess. Ended up making a big mess in my driveway. They forgot to take the old O-ring off the oil filter and it didn’t seal properly. I never went back. I don’t want them under the hood of my $48k vehicle Disclaimer: I didn’t complain to anyone I just kind of let it alone and made decision I wouldn’t go back unless I needed to. A friend of mine recently had a bad experience here as well and I felt I owed it to him to finally leave an honest review. He may not have brought his Jeep here if he would have known what happened to me. I have contacted the Attorney General in Illinois to notify them and get a complaint on record. If this happened to me I’m sure it has happened to other people as well. There is no way Bettenhausen can spin it, so they have to eat it and acknowledge they attempted to steal my money. Ask them about it. If you intend to do business with these people, print a copy of this and Ask Krystal or Joe Prno the Service Manager. In a nutshell I brought my 2017 Jeep Wrangler in for a very MINOR issue. The light inside the cupholder stopped working. After diagnosis I was told the issue wasn’t covered under warranty - only about $20 parts and labor to fix. They claim the “bulb” was burned out. I agreed and was relieved it wasn’t going to be a drawn out process. When I picked up the Jeep I noticed the issue wasn’t fixed, so I inquired with Krystal (Service Advisor) .. she promptly called up a mechanic to take a look. In my presence the mechanic opened/disassembled the center console and pulled out the cupholder, which has the light assembly attached to it. It wasn’t connected to anything and the mechanic said “oh he just didn’t plug it back in”. While he looked for the other end of the wire harness, I asked to inspect it and realized it was a LED assembly and not just a bulb. I asked what part they replaced and they had no explanation... because the “bulb” they claim to have replaced doesn’t even exist on the vehicle. So what was the BS charge for? He couldn’t find the other end of the cable and said it must have fallen further into the console and needed to pull the entire thing out. After several minutes of embarrassment and over exaggerated apologizing, I was promised a refund and they kept the vehicle for more diagnosis. The next day I called for a status and I was told “it’s all done and ready for pickup”.... except they closed 3 minutes prior to me calling and despite me being in one of their loaner cars 3 blocks away the employee told me I would have to wait until Monday. Monday I stopped there after work and got the run-around about the refund. After getting the refund I asked what was wrong with the Jeep and the Manager told me the LED connector was bad and needed to be replaced. He then fumbled through some paperwork and told me it wasn’t fixed yet and they were waiting on a special order part. The part should be in today, but I already notified them to return it because I don’t want them working on my vehicle any more. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. Totally unacceptable dishonest business practices from Bettenhausen. The dishonesty and incompetence is contagious and starts at the top and trickles itself to the staff. More
Blow Up Or No Go Jeep Recently had my 100,000 mile preventative maintenance performed and everything was good until I recently experienced an issue with a repair that they Recently had my 100,000 mile preventative maintenance performed and everything was good until I recently experienced an issue with a repair that they did and to be fair I am not entirely certain that it has anything to do with that repair so I called to explain the situation and was quickly and promptly informed that they have 40 cars waiting to get in here so unless your car is going to blow up forget about it. This long term customer will be taking further service needs and purchasing my next vehicle elsewhere hope none of the 40 cars waiting have to come back because you can "forget about it" "no can do" "later gator". More

Uncooperative Bought a 2013 car from this dealership in September 2016. Within the next month, transmission problems occurred again; also noticed that the passenger window never rolled down, the doors did not seal fully, and the horn needed to be replaced again within 6 months of the supposed "replacement of original horn." Went into the dealership multiple times to inquire about a trade or repair. Completely unprofessional attitude, blew me off like I wasn't important because I wasn't buying a new car. Refused to give a trade or a repair. I was told they would call when they found a dealership to fix my horn and transmission; did not call until 3 days later with the news of they were "working on it". I informed them that I refused to pay for another horn replacement as I paid for one within two months of the purchase. They also stated that they could not perform the lock recall on my car. Felt very disrespected and snubbed even though they were the ones who knowingly sold me a car that they did not check over before they put it out on the lot, a car that they knew had multiple transmission and electrical issues before they took it and did not mention any of those during the sale. Very disappointed and would not recommend this dealership at all. More

Low degree of customer service First maintenance for new vehicle. Dealership did not even provide basics like topping off fluids or checking / fixing tire pressure. What kind of automaker descriminates against consumers that purchase from one country or another? If Chrysler has a problem with dealers purchasing vehicles and bringing them to this country from Canada, penalize them, not hard working consumers! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Shame on me I guess for not checking to see if Chrysler would stand by their warrantys if their product crosses a border? I wish the media would put this on the news and remind Chrysler of the US bailout that they took from our country. Way to show your appreciation to hard working US citizens. Shameful...unfortunately this dealership offers no consideration either, so I have no positive feedback. More
