After a long miserable car buying process I finally found Bettenhausen and Dave Carroll. Words can not express what a breath of fresh air this combination is! This experience is one you need to have for yourself! Being a supplier for the Big 3 buying a car should have been easy. I am from Indiana and went to dealerships close to home. They played numbers games with the supplier discount and the appraisals were an insult. After dealing with liars, slimy salesmen and their management, I called Bettenhausen (a multi-brand family) and was connected with Dave Carroll. It is a 30+ mile trip from my house to his dealership and he was kind enough to help me in any way possible via phone and email. His responses were quick, complete and straight forward. I had been pressured, bullied and blatantly lied to at the other dealerships. Dave and his team made every effort to treat me fairly and show me what car buying should be. There were no secrets. Documentation and information was readily available and presented to me. My trade was appraised at a fair value. Dave and the Bettenhausen team went above and beyond and worked to get me a better deal. They listened to my situation and did everything possible to put a deal together that I would not regret or worry about later. I wish everyone could experience car buying this way... maybe it would change the industry and make car buying much more family friendly or consumer based. I wish more salesmen treated customer like people the way Dave did me. I want to thank Dave Carroll and the entire Bettenhausen family for being different and so much better than the rest!!! I purchased a 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Plus (Blue Pearl paint) on August 11th from Bettenhausen Dodge. I worked with Nick P. Unlike other dealers, this dealership didn't try to nickle and dime me wit paint) on August 11th from Bettenhausen Dodge. I worked with Nick P. Unlike other dealers, this dealership didn't try to nickle and dime me with fees such as the Etching Sticker fee. The negotiation was relatively short in comparison with other experiences. It really helped that I went to the dealership knowing the price I was willing to pay for this particular Challenger and its options. The Challenger on the lot didn't have the wheels/tires I wanted, so they upgraded them for me (at a fair price). Fortunately, they were able to give me the stock 18" wheels/tires which I later sold on Craigslist. The only downside was that the new vehicle had over 200 miles on it. However, Nick was able to work out something for me. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and Bettenhausen Dodge. Eddie August 2012 More
