It's the events that lead to the purchase of the Honda. I saw a 2010 Ford Focus on the dealer's internet site. I called on Wed. 4/10 to ask if it was still in stock. Was told it was. Emailed for more info on the car and received an email response from Shannon stating she would be glad to assist with the Ford Focus. I then called the dealer on Thursday, 4/11 to set up a test drive of the Focus and was told by Amy that it was still available. I gave her my credit card to hold the car. When we arrived at the dealership 2 hours later, I asked for Amy at the front reception desk. We were told "she would be right up". Amy never came out to greet us. After SEVERAL minutes a manager came out and informed us the Focus had been sold. The "paperwork was being finished around the time I called" We were shown to the back of the lot to look at the Honda Civic that they said they had just acquired from an auction. Right in front of the Honda was the Focus I was interested in!! With a "sold" tag on the dashboard. Really?? If the paperwork was being finished 2 hours before, why did the customer who bought it not take the car right away? The whole thing seems kinda fishy. Bad communication between the whole sales staff. Personally I think an employee or relative of an employee wanted the car and somebody heard we were coming up and slapped that sold sticker on it. But I do want Dave Carroll to be commended for his professionalism. More

Dave Carroll was the salesperson, and I cannot begin to say enough kind things about him. Dave was knowledgeable, treated me like a person, and I could not have asked for better customer service. My wife and I chose Bettenhausen due to Dealer location to purchase locally. Upon arrival, we were greeted by several friendly staff members one of which was Steve Klimara. We test drove a Chrysler 200 without Steves presence and upon returning he had two more 200's available to test drive if we wanted to. The entire purchasing experience was hassle free. We bought the 200 and was extremely satisfied with Steve Klimara and the rest of the staff. More
I saw their ad online for a limited edition Jeep that I was very interested in. The owner, Alec Bettenhausen, contacted me through email directly. Put me into contact with another sales person via email. I explained what I was looking for and made an appointment to come in Saturday afternoon to look at that specific Jeep. I received an email at 8:28am Saturday from the sales person I was in contact with to confirm my appointment for that afternoon. She even said, "let me know if anything changes." Nothing changed and I proceeded to my appointment later that afternoon. To my surprise as I walk in the door, a Senior Manger greets me by name because of the car I explained I wanted to trade-in, in my previous emails with the other employee. First thing, the person who confirmed my appointment was not there. Second thing, the car I specifically mentioned and was CONFIRMED to see that morning, sold the previous day. I was told to let them know "if anything changed" in my schedule but they do not have the same courtesy to do the same? Third thing, the Senior Manger knew of my appointment for the sold car and walks me over to his desk and says "I think the Jeep sold last night but let me check. Then gives me to a salesman." He basically did not care about my 50 minute each way commute and pulled the "bait and switch" to sell me another car. With a Senior Manger knowing the deliberate decent by himself and other sales person, he should have went out of his way to make this right but passed me off to another salesman. Bettenhausen says they are a unique and great dealership because they do not haggle you and treat you with respect.. Clearly that was not shown to me at all and they are just like any other shady dealership. They did not care I specifically set an appointment to see one car, drove over 50 minutes each way to get there, was CONFIRMED to see this car the morning of, or never even tried to make the situation right to the customer. I have written the owner directly but have received no response back, obviously following suit from the situation that occured at the dealer. I do NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. They claim to be differnt, honest, and treat the customers right but they are the opposite. They just see their customers as $$$ and could care less if they deceive them. One positve note, the salesman I dealt with after the Manager pass off was Ryan Scarpelli. He was a great, honest, easy going guy. The only reason I stayed around after the manager pass off was because Ryan was a great guy and understood everything I was talking about. He even agreed that the Jeep I was there to see was a great car fo me, had everything I was looking for and also the exact price I wanted to spend. Overall, poor dealership and do not do business with them. Plenty of other dealerships all over Chicago that will treat you better and not deliberately lie to just get you in. Also the other dealerships owner would probably respond back as well. I have been contacted by the Dealer to make up for the issues that I previously wrote about. I will update my review once everything has been taken care of. The owner has contacted me directly and we are in the process of working things out. I look forward to updating my review if things do work out postively! Thanks! More

Jose Silva is the only reason why I bought my 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude. I went in for a test drive because I live in Orland Park, but was not considering buying a vehicle in Cook County because of the s Patriot Latitude. The laid back approach that Jose took with me and his ability to get the financing I was looking for made the decision to buy the vehicle a no brainer. I have already given his name to a friend who is in the market for a new Jeep and told her that she will not be disappointed if she goes to see him.
