I’m sad and disappointed that I let this dealership take advantage of me. I was a loyal customer and former employee of Bettenhausen, I worked for them for 9 years and purchased at least 7 vehicles from Bet advantage of me. I was a loyal customer and former employee of Bettenhausen, I worked for them for 9 years and purchased at least 7 vehicles from Bettenhausen. It’s sad that the employees are willing to lose a loyal customer over $500.00 and asking me (the customer) to lie for them to Chrysler Capital. Let’s be honest here… $500.00 isn’t going to break them or make me rich it’s the principle. The salesman told me that I had $1000.00 dollars and if not more in equity in my vehicle when we were talking about turning it in and leasing another vehicle from them, but when I realized that Bettenhausen couldn’t work a deal within my budget I decided to turn in the vehicle and have them buy out my lease and then sell it on the lot. Well, as a loyal customer I figured they wouldn’t screw me until I was on my way home from turning the vehicle in and talking to my husband and son. They only gave me $500.00 of that “equity” and then told me if Chrysler calls you and asks you what you did with the vehicle just tell them you bought it. I had a bad feeling about it and I tried to talk to the salesperson about it and it just felt shady even more. When I asked if they could just do the right thing and give me the other $500.00 they told me they stand with the final amount. Now, I am using the word “loyal” a lot because that’s a word I used to describe myself to the GM or manager whatever and he in turn told me “there are no loyal customers or loyal brand customers anymore.” Well I guess Bettenhausen is not a “loyal” dealership either. It’s one thing to screw customers out of money but it’s a whole other level of shady business when you ask the customer to lie for the dealership and they were also willing to unwind the deal so I could take the vehicle somewhere else…. That is awful customer service. Today was a learning experience for me and also an eye opener. So long Bettenhausen! More
After purchasing 4 vehicles and about 8 referrals. They cheated me out of about $7K when turning in my leased vehicle. They told me the value wasn’t there and that they didn’t want to purchase it. I really believed them because of the ding on the car fax report. Then a couple days later I see it listed on their website for over $10K of what the residual value was. I will never ever buy a car from here again. More
