Took the car in for the anti theft update. After leaving the dealership my ‘check engine’ light turned on. I called them and was told the engine is not covered and that will cost 175 dollars a After leaving the dealership my ‘check engine’ light turned on. This is awful customer service and a dishonest business. Never again! More

Beware! Horrible experience for KIA if your car needs service!!! I bought a new 2022 Telluride just over a year ago and it only has 10,000 miles so I was Horrible experience for KIA if your car needs service!!! I bought a new 2022 Telluride just over a year ago and it only has 10,000 miles so I was surprised when the 'check engine' light came on. Brought it to a mechanic whose diagnostic machine said it was an emissions leak. Mechanic said the issue is 99% an issue that would be covered under a warranty due to the age and mileage of the car. I called Kia of Lincolnwood who told me the first available appointment would be in TWO MONTHS, but agreed that I should not drive the car with the check engine light on. They said they would not be able to offer a rental car and offered no solutions for being without a car for two months. I called Kia Customer Service who apologized for the wait time at Kia of Lincolnwood and said Berwyn Kia had an available appointment in two days. The person I talked to on the phone at Berwyn Kia said to expect my car to be there for 2.5 days and they could also do 3 recalls (did not receive a letter or call that there was recalls on my car!) at the same time. Definitely an inconvenience, but we could manage without a car for 2.5 days. However, service at Berwyn Kia went quickly downhill! When I dropped the car off, they said it would be closer to a 7 to 10 days before getting my car back. They said they could not offer a rental car until they did a diagnostic test to determine if it was an issue under "warranty." Starting to get frustrated, but figured I could wait a day to get the car inspected and then hopefully be told they would approve a rental car. NOPE. Turns out the estimated 7-10 days was just to get the car inspected and then they would give me another estimate for how long the service would take! So even though I had an appointment, my car is sitting at Berwyn Kia not even being looked at for 7 - 10 days with no offer of a rental car or any other solution for an issue that is 99% due to a manufacture issue. I called Kia's customer service and they said they would look into the service being provided by Berwyn Kia, but they offered no other solutions for being without a car for such an extended amount of time. We have loved our Telluride up until this point, but if we're not able to get prompt service and a rental car during the service for a manufacture issue, we're questioning if we should have purchased a KIA! More
We drove 1. 5 hours to look at car that smells like a smoke shop!. Couldn't even drive it for the stench in the inside. Made an appointment. I arrived 2 hours early. The lady who checked me in said it would take a week to a week in a half to resolve the issue. She said they delay was be I arrived 2 hours early. Mind you I made the appointment a week and a half earlier. My response was too bad and why does Berwyn KIA overbook? She had no answer. The previous time I had service here it was a xxxx poor experience. Consumer beware, if you like headaches and like talking to a brick wall; this is the place for you. Otherwise, save your sanity and take your business elsewhere. More
The service department has had my car for 4 months. Let me start by saying this I’m pissed beyond words. They have been giving me the run around in all this time. The first thing they told me was that my warranty wasn’t answering for them and when they got a hold of them it was a back and forward argument Danny said. After I called the warranty company they said different but ok I went off on everybody because at this point it’s been 2 months and I’m still paying a car note. So I wanted to talk to a manager which is hector and Tim. I called everyday for an update on my car they all said different things like parts didn’t come in, we order the wrong part, we haven’t went through the shipped parts and so much more. Now that it’s 4 months later I’m being told my management the parts are in and the engine is together we don’t understand way out tech has put it in. That’s not all now after the warranty covered what they covered I give them $1440 to break down the engine which I was told I wasn’t supposed to pay because it’s covered. Danny says to me we have a part that we missed out on you claim can we use the $1440 you give to get the part. I said yes and asked him will I have to pay any more money. He said no Mr. Jackson everything is paid and over we have to fix it and you come get it this was last month. They have texted me and gave me so many dates on which my car would be ready 6 times to be honest. Every week it’s something different. I called today because it was supposed to be ready Tim tell me sorry don’t yell but your car isn’t ready. It’s all together just hasn’t been put in the car yet. I said why not he said honestly I don’t know. They are saying that I have to pay $3400 because my warranty didn’t cover everything. They did a $13,000.00 job on a $10,000.00 car. And have had my car for months and it still not ready on none of the days they said it would be fixed. Tim and hector comes up with writing me a check for $180 to cover 3 days of rental for this weekend because my car might be ready Monday but can’t be for sure. I’m pissed off I need to know who I can get in touch with to make a complaint and possibly sue. 4 months no car and paying a note. And y’all still want $3400 and only gone give me $180 for 3 day rental I’m highly disappointed and the management and staff of the Berwyn Kia Service it’s been 4 months of calling about my car and they never have a answer always bs. Oraya Resendez was our sales associate and was very disorganized, not communicative and very lackadaisical. We placed an order with her in Oct - reached out 3-4 times after the 6 month mark and got no response from her whatsoever. Finally at 7 months she called and said the car will be here 6/4 and casually asked us if we still want the car - all while confirming the wrong build and quickly covering it up by saying there was another order with my last name. A few weeks later we get a text with the VIN # but never the window sticker. I called to confirm numbers prior to pick up - she finally sent me the window sticker and we noticed the cost was higher. She placed the blame on chip shortage, supply chain and gas prices when in reality our order included additional features with the big ticket item being a rear head entertainment system. When we addressed this with her she blamed the manufacturer and said they’ve been adding features to orders without notice. At that point, we pulled the plug. She is not competent to sell cars whatsoever. We’re confident she sold our order to someone and found the next closest build to backfill our order. Manager - Vince Moreno is an impatient, egotistical and dirty salesman. He tried to strong arm me as a woman - told me the car wasn’t ours and he can easily sell it on the floor for over MSRP with no problem tomorrow. He took zero time to understand our order was incorrect all along and shifted blame on the economy just to get the deal over the finish line. Tavia - the internet sales was the only individual who was reliable, customer care driven and enthusiastic. She was our only piece of enjoyment there. They need more people like her. More
