I knew I wanted another when we went car shopping in my 11 year old Forester with 208,000 miles. I wanted an Outback this time because it has a bit more leg room in the back seat. My husband wanted me to test drive a Legacy. Keith was very patient and knowledgeable about both cars. We test drove both cars and ultimately decided on the Outback. I had a specific color and interior I wanted. They didn't have it on the lot but Keith located the specific model I requested in short time. I feel that I received a good price for my trade in, had a great experience with Keith Goldsmith and Tom, the Finance Manager. I would highly recommend Bertera in West Springfield to anyone who is Subaru shopping and wants to get facts, no pressure, and a great car! More

This however was not the case with Keith Goldsmith. He was as no pressure as they come. He wanted to know what i wanted, and didn't try to cram some car they had in stock down my throat. I informed him that I was looking to buy a 2014 XV Crosstrek in dark gray, and from then on he made sure i got the car that i wanted. After the car was located, he kept me well informed on when the car would be there and on all other information that i needed. Even after all the paperwork was done and i was driving the car away, he would call just to check on on how things were going. This was hands down the best new car buying experience I've ever had. Tyler was patient and helpful as I test drove car after car (even two of the same car in different colors!). After about 2 hours I still could not make a decision and Tyler in no way tried to force my hand in the usual car salesman way. He simply laid out the information and worked to give me the best deal possible. I ended up with a white Subaru Crosstrek and Tyler made sure the vehicle was ready to go the next day, keeping me updated about his progress. He made the car buying process completely painless, which I could not appreciate more! More

I was leaning towards Subaru but needed more information so I went to two local dealerships. My first stop was Bertera Subaru in West Springfield. I was first met by Keith Goldsmith a sales consultant there. He was genuine, nice, soft-spoken and made me forget awhile that I was actually shopping for a car. I looked around and got an immediate impression that everyone there seemed very laidback. The next thing I noticed was their showroom. It looked like a living room with cars parked in the middle of it. The television was on. I think it was the news. People were also smiling engaged in conversation everywhere I looked. In my conversation with Keith I got around to letting him know what I wanted to use my next car for and that it needed to be dependable, AWD, and fuel efficient. Keith asked me questions about my lifestyle and how it pertained to my next potential purchase. If I was going to buy new he suggested that it be a Subaru because they're less expensive than comparably equipped Toyotas and Hondas plus they hold their value better. Keith helped me narrow down the models Subaru offered to a hatchback Impreza, a Forester, and an Outback. He explained the advantages and "disadvantages" of each in regards to my needs. Before I had a chance to ask about pricing he showed me various internet sites to validate what a great price was for each vehicle. I thanked him for the information and I told him I needed to think about it. He said okay and asked me to call him if I had any further questions. I would have purchased from him on the spot but I didn't want to buy on a whim. I wanted to gather firsthand information to make the correct educated decision. I decided so far that my next car was going to be a Subaru. The next decision was what model and which dealership would I buy it from? I later returned to Bertera Subaru after have a less than satisfactory experience at Steve Lewis Subaru in Hadley. The Impreza I decided was too small for me. In the end I decided on purchasing a Subaru Outback. Tom the business manager gave a fantastic finance rate and didn't try to manipulate me into buying more than what I needed. Keith then introduced me to the other people involved in my purchase. Mark the general sales manager who gave me a very fair value for my trade-in and Shawn the general manager who said I could always go to him if Keith or Mark weren't available. My advice to those buying a car? Take the time to do your research in person. Bertera Subaru whatever you're doing keep doing it. I'll be seeing you all again for an oil change very soon! More

Horrible customer service with an incompetent staff. Once the sale was made all customer service went out the window. Promises made when making the deal were not kept. Vehicle needed repairs immediately and clearly did not go through a "rigorous" inspection before being put up for sale. Go somewhere else!! More
