Visited Bertera with little to no hope of purchasing a new vehicle but wanted to give it a try. I had only owned my vehicle for approx. 7 months and hated it and wanted a Jeep. I arrived and was immedia new vehicle but wanted to give it a try. I had only owned my vehicle for approx. 7 months and hated it and wanted a Jeep. I arrived and was immediately greeted by a salesman, I told him of my situation as I told the General Mgr the previous day on the telephone, he said he would do his best and he thought that they could make it work. Took a Jeep Liberty for a test drive and loved it, the whole team worked to make the numbers work for me all afternoon. Even though I was sceptical and kept telling them that they could give up they wouldn't and kept my spirits up. I ended up with the Jeep Liberty and couldn't be happier, great team of people!!!! Haven't stopped talking about them yet. Would recommend them over any dealership I have ever been to. Thanks again for everything, and I will be sending business down your way!! Pam Hall More
Upon the first visit, we were treated well because they were trying to sell us a car. We wer greeted right away and asked what we were looking for. We met with the salesman, the manager, the finance perso were trying to sell us a car. We wer greeted right away and asked what we were looking for. We met with the salesman, the manager, the finance person and a few others. The manager steered us right to an acceptable car for our needs which was very good because it helped us to make a choice right away. Once we said yes to the deal things went downhill. It took forever to get the paperwork done and we were late for a meeting. The next day we were to return with a check but I was never given the piece of paper with the amount to bring. I had to return to the dealership to get the paper work so that I could go to the bank. I might as well have been invisable. We stood there for at least 15 minutes with sales people walking past and not a one acknowledged us. After 15 minutes, I asked if someone could help us (our sales person was off for the day as were the others we saw the day before.) They steered us to the finance person who gave us the right amount to get from the bank. After going to the bank, we returned and it was the same thing. Employees would just walk past. This time I did not wait but found someone right away to take my check. It then took another hour and a half to get the needed paperwork to go the the registry. These visits took over 4 hours which was much to long. The next day we had to go to the registry to get plates and return to get our car. Our sales person was back and pleasant and things did not take nearly as long. Customers should be greeted right away no matter what. If I had not already bought the car, I would have left the 2nd day and gone elsewhere. Look at Verizon, you walk in the door and someone greets you and asked what you need. He then puts your name on a list and steers you in the right direction. Standing there for a over 15 minutes, someone should have greeted us and asked what we needed. This whole procedure took much to long with standing around time. I would say we were waiting here or there for more than half of our time at the dealership. I have no complaints with Danny our sales man or the manager that we spoke to. It is just the waiting around. There is a place in Florida (Lazy Days) where we have bought a few campers. You walk in the door and you are made to feel that you are important. Every employee that walks within 3 feet of you makes eye contact and says, "Welcome to Lazy days, we appreciate your business". This is why people go back there. This is why they have 100 salespeople working the floor. Everyone is made to feel that their business is important. More
dave gave us exceptional service. i work in retail and for someone to be as comunicative and understanding as him, it makes difficult situations much easier to accept. i feel the service was the best i h for someone to be as comunicative and understanding as him, it makes difficult situations much easier to accept. i feel the service was the best i have been given but with the length of time it took it was unfortunate that we had to pay for 2/3 of the rental. my vehicle runs very nice and dave did go above and beyond to make it so painless for us. we were with out our vehicle for 3 weeks. he made us feel like it was less time. like i said the only dissappointment was who would cover the rental and for how long. the comprehensive warranty only covered 5 days and the parts person covered 2 days. i felt because of the weather conditions and the length of time it took to get the part we needed that i should not have had to pay for 14 out of the 21 days. but i appreciate the level of customer service we received was outstanding. 1) I wish I had been given the best price first. Would love to have avoided all that 'sturm und drang' drama. 2) Nice, sweet sales guy. Still, I think I think he should have told me about the child-loc love to have avoided all that 'sturm und drang' drama. 2) Nice, sweet sales guy. Still, I think I think he should have told me about the child-lock rear doors. After I got the car home, I climbed into the back seat and closed the door to see how roomy it felt. I was unable to get out. I had to phone my wife on the cellphone to let me out of the car. 3) Because it was the first time they had ever done a lease in NY, there was a bit of on-the-job training at my expense. Still they were so apologetic and generous, it all turned out fine. Despite my initial misgivings, it was a positive experience and I hope to be back again when this lease comes due. In addition to Juan Acevedo, special kudos to Aubrey, John Lewis, Chris [x17102] and the lovely lady from the West Indies. More
My wife and I went to this dealer looking for a newer used car,and to move up to a wagon from a sedan,we were expecting our first baby and needed something bigger.Well we were shown a couple vehicals,di used car,and to move up to a wagon from a sedan,we were expecting our first baby and needed something bigger.Well we were shown a couple vehicals, did the test drives,we were bated by one we could almost afford, the one we could afford according to them was a joke.So we were put into a cubical and had to wait while they checked our vehical for value...then we had to play the game of negotiation...then we had to play the game of "let me go talk to my boss"...all the time they had our keys and refused to give them back or let us leave,we were starving ,this had been going on for easily 4 hours!!So long story short we were played with every game in the book,oh and the car that we saw in the paper that we went down to see to begin with..it had just been sold!!What a pile of b.s.Stay far away from this dealership and all the other Berteras,Ive tried to give them another shot at there branch in Palmer and had the same thing happen, they get your keys and basically trap you,I had to pry them out of the salespersons hand the last time,it was horrible!!! I bought a used vehicle from these people and had many problems with it.(brakes, etc)When i went back for the brake problem they said because i got a new inspection sticker they were not responsible for th problems with it.(brakes, etc)When i went back for the brake problem they said because i got a new inspection sticker they were not responsible for the brakes.(i only put 2900 miles on the car and the brakes were bad)They made me pay for the brake job($401.00).They do not check their used cars befor they sell them.I had to bring it back for cleaning 3 times and they still still did not clean the car.The dealer also said that i had to leave the showroom because i was disturbing his customers, the used car manager said too bad for me and left.I also had service done at the bertera metro jeep on boston road in spfld, every time i had to bring the vehicle back at least 3 times for the same service and that was under the extended warranty?Beware of the bertera auto group or you will be sorry like i am.I promply traded in my used bertera car and bought a car from another dealer,Please check with the better business bureau befor buying any vehicle from this dealer,i wish i did.If you do check them out i guarantee you will not buy from this dealer.REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! I has the worst experience at this dealership. The guys were pushy, manipulative, slimey, and liars. The communication between myself and the salesmen and the salesmen with eachother was diplorable. Fool were pushy, manipulative, slimey, and liars. The communication between myself and the salesmen and the salesmen with eachother was diplorable. Foolishly I still wound up buying a used truck from them (my dream truck) that was in excellent shape and at a good price. However, they had promised me that I could keep my payments per month for my loan at 300 or lower. Yea that did NOT happen... I'm spending almost 400. In addition I told them that I wanted taxes and the registration fees included in the loan. Apparently they assumed that my boyfriend and I were married (they NEVER ASKED) and gave us a tax credit. I get a call the next day after my purchase with them saying that I needed to give them 700+ dollars CASH for the taxes (because they realized we weren't married) or they wouldn't register it. I flipped out and they took care of it. I have had to go back for additional paperwork f***ups and issues surrounding my loan. I have wasted too much of my time going back and forth to this god-awful dealership. All and all I have had a horrible experience and if you are smart you will find somewhere else to buy a car/truck... unless you want the headache and aggrevation I had. More
Today my wife and I went to Bertera in West Springfield, MA to purchase a new Jeep Wrangler. All I wanted to know was what would be the lowest price they would sell me a Jeep for. For some reason the sales MA to purchase a new Jeep Wrangler. All I wanted to know was what would be the lowest price they would sell me a Jeep for. For some reason the sales men (Victor)keep insisting I take it for a test drive even know I had told him on several occasions I have already test drove one and currently own one. I told him I wanted to talk money. Then Victor brought the General Manager over to show us his invoice for the vehicle, I told him I didn't belive it was the true invoice price.(Reason being when I called the dealer earlier I was told he wanted to move out this vehicle to make room for the 2011's and would give me a $1,500 rebate plus we could negotiate even further) Gabriel then told me I wasnt a serious buyer and told us to get out of his dealership. I then said fine I'll go elsewhere and he then told me good luck because he (Bertera)owned all the Jeep dealer ships. This was the worst car buying experience i've ever had. I will never purchase a vehicle from any Bertera dealership! Thank you, Jason More
