6 months ago in June we purchased a Lexus IS250 for approximately 28k. Rolling over 1700 from a previous vehical aputting an additional 5k down to make payments in the range i wanted. Returned to deale approximately 28k. Rolling over 1700 from a previous vehical aputting an additional 5k down to make payments in the range i wanted. Returned to dealership to purchase a Lexus 470 or a RX 350. We went to the same salesman as we made the first purchased from. When he returned from the sales manager with an offer on the vehical, they offered 7k less than the original amount I paid for the vehical. Needles to say I was taken back at the lack of effort put into assesing the proper value for this vehical.We negotiated for a period of time and when it came down to attempting to make the deal, there was a $500 difference from where we needed to be. We walked away after being made to feel that we were not offered a fair price for the vehical when we first purchased it. Looking back on it I feel that we were treated more unfairly when we tried to trade the vehical in and make a substantailly larger purchase. I want you to know that i did purchase not only 1 vehical but 3 in total at a different dealership, whom also deals in luxury car sales. So the long and short of it is you lost 77k worth of vehical sales on a $500 negotiating point. The trade in value i was given for my IS250 was 5k more than the offer you insulted us with. I do not have any issues with our salesman, Mike, whom was very professional and courteous. The sales manager should probably spend a little more time researching deals that are brought to him, especially when a luxury car sale is pending.You had the Lexus RX350, Chevy Avalanche and Ford Explorer at your dealership and would have been able to close the sale had the short sightedness of individuals in charge of making sales for your dealership. I purchased a car for my wife approximately 3 years ago at which time Mike was my sales associate. The positive experience during that sale is what lead me to return to Bertera for a second car. Fortunately, I was able to work with Mike a second time which was even better then the first. I found a better car then what I was anticipating to be in my price range and Mike worked with me in order to get it into a price range that fit my budget. The often intimidating process was seamless, easy, and left me with no questions, cocerns or (most importantly) regrets. I love this car! Due to the back to back great experiences from both Mike and the rest of the staff who completed the sale, a coworker of mine will be purchasing a truck this week. More
