I walked in with a target price of $300 a month and that is what I got. The car was exactly what I was looking for for my family. The experince was okay, nothing special. I have had better experiences at other dealers but unfortunately they do not sell Jeeps. I would not disuade someone from going there but I would not go out of better experiences at other dealers but unfortunately they do not sell Jeeps. This was my first "New" car that I would be purchasing, so I made sure to check all my options and the Chrysler 200 made the cut. I shopped around at many different dealer locations, for all di purchasing, so I made sure to check all my options and the Chrysler 200 made the cut. I shopped around at many different dealer locations, for all different types of cars. None of the other dealers really cared that I had set price that I want to be at for a new car. Kyle and the other sales reps that helped me get my Chrysler in the right color and interior were a great help and I know I was a pain in the butt with the black interior. Since they had to swap out, to get the black interior that I oh so had to have. Thank you guys again, I love my new car and I am sure you'll be seeing me in there for an oil change soon enough. More
Will report your dealership to the Better business bureau. Have already reported your business to my current finance company, for telling me it was ok to surrender my car for a new car. Let me start by saying I stopped by the dealership to look at a vehicle for a friend. I ended up buying the vehicle instead. (This is the second vehicle I purchased here). I worked with John Dezaila and look at a vehicle for a friend. I ended up buying the vehicle instead. (This is the second vehicle I purchased here). I worked with John Dezaila and he was absolutey wonderful. He was very pleasant and a pleasure to work with. There was a mechanical issue with the used vehicle I bought and it was taken care of with no questions. On the negative side, which I hate to bring up but I don't want anybody else to experience, is to make sure the vehicle is fully inspected before purchasing. I have a 16 year old driving my vehicle and the issue with my vehicle was a safety issue which could have caused my child to get into an accident. I understand that used vehicles may have problems, but when the vehicle didn't pass inspection due to a safety issue, I was not confident that the service department did their part in making sure the vehicle was safe. Also, the vehicle was supposed to be detailed before I picked it up, and it was not. That was disappointing because you kind of expect that when purchasing a new or new to you car. Overall the experience was mediocre but I would recommend the dealership to others and I would buy another vehicle there. I love my truck. I would just advise anybody going there to be very insistent on making sure things are done the way they should be for the safety of you and everybody on the road. And if you do decide to shop at Bertera Chrysler Jeep Dodge, make sure to ask for John Dezalia. More
I was stranded on the road after the throttle system light on my 2005 Jeep Liberty Diesel began flashing on a trip from Belle Mead, N.J. to Brimfield, Mass. After calling a number of dealers who were e light on my 2005 Jeep Liberty Diesel began flashing on a trip from Belle Mead, N.J. to Brimfield, Mass. After calling a number of dealers who were either located too far from my location or were unable to assure me of their ability to repair the vehicle, I contacted Bertera in the Hartford area and was told to call their "sister" dealership in Springfield. I spoke with Kathy Bryan who assured me they were equipped to handle the problem and there were motels on the highway strip on which they were located. I had my vehicle towed to their location and on the following day I asked if they had a loaner car and Kathy told me that they could have Enterprise car rental pick me up and I would be charged at their cost $30 a day rate. I rented the car and went about my business and within a few hours Kathy called me with the "good news" that the car had been repaired. I am so grateful for this dealership's overall courteous and professional service, particularly the sensitive help from beginning to end from their service representative Kathy Bryan who made me feel as comfortable as possible in what can be the most disconcerting circumstance. I walked in with my son and was greeted promptly by a salesman. I told him who I was there to see because I was looking on line and got a phone call the next day about a vehicle I was interested in. Th salesman. I told him who I was there to see because I was looking on line and got a phone call the next day about a vehicle I was interested in. The internet salesman greeted me and introduced me to the salesman I would be talking to ( Which was Andrew Jaikissoon ). What I liked and appreciated most about Andrew was that he was not being pushy and talked to me like a normal human being and was very understanding about my needs and wants. He was very helpful with getting me situated and even gave my son a coloring book and a bottle of water to keep him occupied while we talked business. I drove off just a few hours later with my new vehicle. More
UPDATE: I got an immediate response from the General Manager, Gabriel Faria, after writing the review (below). I am very pleased to say Gabriel was kind enough to sit down with my husband and I personally to discuss the problems we had with our vehicle and our overall experience buying from his dealership. He was professional and personable, listened to everything we had to say, and then made sure our issues were taken care of. I have changed my original negative review to a positive one mostly because I feel he took our complaints seriously and listened to us without being defensive or argumentative. A big thank you to Gabriel and Monty for their competence and professionalism while handling our complaints! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I liked Monty as a person and I am not blaming him for any of our complaints. Nothing I say below has any reflection on our opinion of Monty. That being said, I wouldn't recommend Bertera Chrysler/Jeep to anyone I consider a friend. There were a couple things that left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. We were NOT pleased to find our same Jeep listed for over $2K less on your website upon getting home (and yes, we read all of your "fine print" under the photos about completing transactions in person vs. online on the site). Honestly, how would you feel if you saw the automobile you just purchased listed cheaper on the dealer website than what you just paid for it? Let me tell you, it is NOT a good feeling, no matter WHAT your sneaky fine print says. I felt swindled. The old bait-and-switch technique doesn't sit well with me. It's not a good feeling. I should be happy and excited about the very large purchase I just made, not regretful. Nor were we pleased that we left the lot in our new vehicle with a completely EMPTY gas tank when our trade-in had a completely full one. You couldn't have given us a credit for that gas? If I had a ciphon, I would have taken the gas out of our old trade-in myself. Ridiculous! We are not local to Springfield and had to spend $85 in gas just to get home. Now add that to the full tank we left in our trade-in, about $75 worth of gas, and then add in the amount it will cost to get back to Springfield to pick up our registration and have the vehicle inspected next week. Really??! So we're talking about $250 worth of gas. That makes me SICK. I would think in this day and age, one simple gas tank fill-up on a new vehicle purchase is a nice gesture. Monty told us that giving customers gas was "no longer a practice of Bertera" and I was not pleased. I understand that gas is expensive, but how can you NOT reward your customers for spending more than $22K with a simple fill-up? Or at least a $50 gas card or something? Every other car I've ever purchased from a dealership came with a full tank of gas. It's just one of those good-faith courtesies you should expect from doing business with a reputable company. I felt like once our signatures were on the contract and the deal was final, your dealership didn't care one iota about how we felt as customers. And now you want us to give you a positive rating? I don't think so. We drove off of Bertera's lot in our just-purchased vehicle MAD instead of happy, and looking for a gas station late at night in the rain. Not to mention how we felt about finding the much cheaper website price when we got home. Insult to injury! Is that honestly how you want your customers to feel? And one more not-so-minor thing, a week after I bought my Jeep from Bertera, I had to put in 4 quarts of oil. It was completely empty of oil! There are no gauges on the dashboard besides Fuel and Temperature, so we didn't realize it was extremely low on oil until the car started "dinging" at us and we looked up the problem in the manual. Luckily my husband was around to rectify the situaton - had it just been me driving, I would have probably kept driving the Jeep until it seized up or exploded! When I mentioned the low oil to Monty, I was told that our Jeep was so new to the lot when we purchased it, the service department must not have done their usual used car inspection before it was sold. So I'm warning future buyers: make sure your vehicle has been properly inspected and all fluids checked by the service department before leaving the lot! You don't want to get a couple hundred miles down the road and find out you have no oil! UPDATE: Bertera gave us a complimentary oil change and checked our vehicle properly once we brought it back a week after purchase. They took care of us and apologized for inconveniencing us. They took the issue seriously and made us feel better about the whole ordeal. More
