If you're looking for a horrible car buying experience then you must visit Bertera Chevrolet. Everyone should probably experience it once in life, then you can appreciate the good guys. There's a service offered by Consumer Reports called "Build and Buy". What you do is go to their site and build your new vehicle. They, in turn, send it out to a few dealers in your area. Well, Bertera came in the lowest, $500 below invoice. Since I lived about 50 miles away, I was hesitant to get involved though it was my best price. Then I filled out a trade-in form on Auto Trader, and Bertera came in as willing to meet my trade-in price. It sounded like I could save a few bucks. I was contacted by Brian Hall and made arrangements to visit the dealership. What did I have to lose besides some gas money and time? First impression, Brian wasn't available so I had to wait about 10 minutes. Was that on purpose? I don't know so let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Then we sit down and start talking. Right away, when I say what price I expected, he does a double-take and says: "Oh, that can't be right, my sheet says $500 ABOVE invoice." Can you believe it? I had talked with Brian a few days before and CONFIRMED the $500 below dealer's invoice. At first he said $500 below STICKER and i had to remind him that it was $500 below dealer invoice. "Oh right", he says. Anyway, i was pissed andf ready to leave right then. Then he makes a production of asking if I had documentation. He takes my document, says, "Oh, yeah, looks like we have to give it to you and disappears". He comes back and says no dice, it was a big mistake, we even had someone else come in with the same price and we're going to contact Consumer Reports. Do you believe it, or was it the classic case of bait and switch? Hey, it gets better. I'm about to leave and Brain says, "Hey, let's look at your car, maybe we can make it up in trade"? Against my better sense, I agreed to let them appraise my car. The Auto Trader price was $5,650, though I knew it would be less. It came in at $4750, which actually surprised me. We were still about $750 apart, and at that point was getting uncomfortable with the whole display. I asked him for my keys, he disappeared in the sales manager's office. The sales manager comes out and asks if we can close the gap. I explain that I had a meeting to attend to (no xx, I had been there for 1 1/2 hours). He is holding my keys away from me and says it will only be a couple of minutes (yeah right). Finally , I had to raise my voice and demand my keys back. This in the middle of the showroom with customers hanging about. So there's my story of my visit to Bertera. I was never happier to leave a place of business in my life. More
The dealership was clean and family-friendly. Trevor was extremely helpful and courteous. He was very knowledgeable and straight-forward with the information regarding the vehicles and the financing. He answered all of my questions and spend several hours with me. Even after the sale, he spent over an hour with my family and I showing us all of the options and features in the car. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a vehicle.I would return myself to buy a vehicle. I would even send my daughters to Trevor to purchase their vehicles. Overall, a wonderful experience! Bertera was able to get us the best deal on our new Chevy Traverse. We visited several dealerships before visiting Bertera and they were the best. At first I thought they were gong to be like all the others, and show us things that were out of our price range, or that we really didn't want. But once we made it clear that what we wanted was what w others, and show us things that were out of our price range, or that we really didn't want. I would recommend this dealership to a friend if you deal exclusively with Trevor. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicles he shows to each customer and takes the time to add a personal touch to each sal exclusively with Trevor. I felt very comfortable that I had his complete attention and that he was assisting me in finding a vehicle that best suited our needs. He assisted my sister in purchasing a vehicle as well and she had nothing but praise for him. I believe all sales associates should hold Trevor as a model as to how to properly sell a vehicle. When I purchase my next vehicle I will be sure to exclusively ask for Trevor. More
After 50 years of buying both passenger and commercial vehicles, I have to say that this was the most pleasant and enjoyable purchase. Salesman Brian Hall is very knowledgeable of the product and coomple vehicles, I have to say that this was the most pleasant and enjoyable purchase. Salesman Brian Hall is very knowledgeable of the product and coompletely understood our, the customer, needs. The produdct sold was what we wanted and the pricing was extremely competitive. I had been in the market for a particular used car and found it at Bertera. I have had experience with several other dealerships in the past, not all wonderful. When I spoke with Brian Hall over the phone, he was very helpful, very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He was direct and upfront when we spoke, and I really valued that. He provided quick feedback and was very easy to deal with throughout. Specifically, Brian went out of his way to help make the transaction run very smoothly for me. He arranged for an inspection of the vehicle with another local dealership and organized an exchange over three hours away from Bertera to make it convenient for me. All much appreciated. Having completed the deal yesterday, I would have only good things to say about Brian...Many thanks. More
Went in looking for a used car, good on gas, under $10K with low miles. Dealer got me exactly that on the first try. Didn't try to talk me into something else. I have been to many dealers in the past thirty days , I can actually say I hate car shopping !! I walked into bertera in Palmer and was astonished at the number of customers were running around! It reminded me of a bee hive like we have here on the farm , we were greeted by a younger salesman with an amazing smile he made us feel like we was among old friends . We purchased a used 2009 chevy cobalt and were then introduced to Dan who made sure we got the best terms he worked hard with the banks... They have completely changed our opinion of a "car" dealer Thanks Bertera , Carl & Dan !!!!! More

They worked with me every step of the way. Their familiarization process was thorough, informative and helped me feel comfortable with the new car.
