This is my 2nd car I bought from Bertera Chevrolet Palmer Mass. Great cars never had any problems with the cars from bertera price are better than my home state Ct. My experience at Bertera was exceptional due to the commitment of the sales agent that took my request to find alow mileage used vehicle. Bob Canning did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the commitment of the sales agent that took my request to find alow mileage used vehicle. I gave this dealer a poor rating because it completely 100% deserves it. I was searching and searching for the lowest possible price I could find on a cruze. Bertera seemed to stick out with their reasona 100% deserves it. I was searching and searching for the lowest possible price I could find on a cruze. Bertera seemed to stick out with their reasonable prices. Bertera is about 45 mins to an hour away from my house. With that being said I took the chance anyways. I'm a first time buyer with not a lot of credit. I brought my boyfriend who has decent credit to help me. We get there around 12 or so and we walked in and I couldn't believe how nice it was in there. The people were nice and I felt like things were really going to work out for us. Steve, ended up being our sales guy at first. We took the cruze for a test drive, and came back and he quoted us a very low price. After sitting around for a while, Steve comes back and says we definitely got the approval and we will be eligible to take the vehicle home that same day. My boyfriend and I were so so excited. It was our first new car. About 4:40 comes around (they close at 5) we still were just sitting around. Steve comes back and says, bad news we can't get a hold of some banks so you'll have to wait until Monday. I was so upset at that point so Steve brought his manager over to speak with us. He basically said we definitely could get the car he just is looking for the best payments. So I said okay, and we departed. Monday comes along and Bertera never calls me. Not even once. Come to find out Steve isn't even working that day. So I'm calling and calling to try to figure out what was going on. Finally I went down there and said I wanted my money back. The sales manager says whoa whoa you did get approved. He asked me to hear him out and I did. My payments were raised about 100 dollars more a month with a ridiculous interest rate. He then tried to convince me to get a Saturn Ion. Which the payments were still going to be ridiculously high. So I said I would just pay the high interest rate on the car I really did want. So David comes into the picture. He explains to me that I need to get all these documents and come up with 2,000 in a very short amount of time. I said fine, I'll do it. I come back with everything I needed. Steve is back and brings everything to his manager again. So we are sitting waiting around and Steve comes back and says, oh well there's people ahead of you that came in today so you're at the end of the list. Now it's a matter of it being your turn. I respect that there are other people there, but I've driven there three times, went through a bunch of stuff just to be at the end of the list?? No. I can't keep missing work to go back and forth from that place and there was absolutely no compromising! Steve then says my manager says you'll definitely get the car and I will personally deliver it on Monday. Okay. Monday comes around and there once again was another problem. I called them and said I was done. They wasted my time and gas to get there. When I called and asked for my money back David was extremely rude to me on the phone. He also admitted to doing things he shouldn't be doing. It was overall a bad experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody especially young people. More
