"I purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot exactly one week ago. Sadly, it is currently in your shop since 20 minutes after driving away I noticed both a chip in the windshield and an odd noise/vibration under the front passenger tire. I reached out to my salesman immediately (who said he had not noticed a chip) and was referred to call Service. When I spoke to the service department about the windshield, I was told that since it had passed MA inspection (being smaller than an inch) that essentially it was my problem and I could go through my insurance to replace it. Do you seriously believe the best customer service, after someone spends over $15,000, is to tell them their first order of business for them with their new car is to file an insurance claim for a windshield & to get it taken care of on their own? Had it NOT been raining and I noticed the chip when I first got in the car I would not have even driven it off the lot. This is very upsetting to me. I strongly suggest that, while my car is there receiving the service described below that you address this- by either sealing the chip or replacing the windshield. Anyway, I was able to book an appointment nearly a week out and I utilized the shuttle service to get to work after dropping it off. When the service department called, it was to inform me that I was correct, it was a bad wheel bearing-- one that had already been replaced but with a "faulty component". They assured me it would be taken care of "under warranty" which by all means it should be. I was then called about an hour later stating that something happened with the replacement part and they needed yet another one. This would mean I would be given a loaner car since it would not be completed in the same day. Now, I would much rather have a working part so of course, I did not mind; but then to be told the shuttle service ended at 2pm and I needed to find a way back to the dealership for the loaner car & suggesting I ask a coworker for a ride? That is unacceptable and I let the nice gentleman know that I was stranded at work because of it. He did call me back shortly after to say he had arranged for an office person to pick me up, but still, to worry that I may not even have a way to get back to your office after being told I was all set with a shuttle was unnerving. Please be aware, that all of this is after the inconvenience of Bertera's finance office twice sending over incorrect information on the sales agreement to my credit union- first listing the purchase price without deducting my downpayment and then forgetting to add the cosigner; which caused a delay in their ability to send out the payment- dragging the purchase out over an additional weekend. Everything else aside, AJ is a very courteous and attentive salesman - when I called in a panic over something trivial he handled it quickly and professionally (as did Jeoff in Service), and for that I am grateful, but nearly every other facet of this experience has been negative. I am not blaming him for these problems and have copied him on this email just to make him aware of everything and again, to mention that he was great to work with. I do not buy cars often, nor have I ever bought a car as expensive and (to me) high-end, as this. This was a decision and purchase that took a long time to make and one I had been very excited about. Sadly, it has not been a positive experience. I know my $15k Jeep is barely a drop in the bucket to you guys, but to me, it was a monumental purchase that I had looked forward to for a long time. Now I am sitting at work with a Mardi Gras themed purple courtesy van outside instead of the car I drove home last week." Plain and simple, every aspect of this purchase was 'painless and grief free'. They did not attempt to rush, pressure, or sway my thoughts, and everything was explained pretty well. It probably helps that I have knowledge about vehicles, and that I went in to their establishment knowing exactly what I wanted, but these guys still could have tried to be unproffesional and greedy, but that was NOT the case! I needed very specific numbers met, and they helped make the numbers work for the truck that I wanted, and not offer me a truck that would fit my numbers! I know we all have different experiences with things such as buying a vehicle, but hey, like I already mentioned, this is my 4th vehicle from them ..... More

It quickly became clear that my vehicle was never gone through prior to my taking delivery of the vehicle. I was shocked by the lack of attentiveness, rudeness and general nonchalant attitude of every one I encountered. To make a long story short, my vehicle was sold to me with an open recall, no windshield wiper fluid, in need of an oil change, brake job within 5K miles, faulty water pump, a malfunctioning 4WD mechanism, and lastly a head lamp was out. Clearly there were some things missed during the "200 Point" inspection. Several attempts were made to contact the General Manager, all were unsuccessful. Clearly there is an issue with their customer service, and clearly it comes right from the top. Be wary of this dealership. They will sell you a car, and give you a smile . . . however you better hope nothing goes wrong. Bertera Chevrolet is clearly not looking for repeat customers. More

"Deal in four days" My wife and I were searching online and found a vehicle of interest at Bertera's in Palmer. The vehicle is a 2007 Mazda CX 7 and appeared to be in gre My wife and I were searching online and found a vehicle of interest at Bertera's in Palmer. The vehicle is a 2007 Mazda CX 7 and appeared to be in great condition. We notified the company of our interest on Sunday via email and visited them on Monday afternoon. The sales person that worked with us was Jacob Mead. We found him to be engaging, accommodating, and genuinely interested in putting us in that Mazda under terms that we could live with. He assured us that the car would be fully serviced from top to bottom and the recall issue would be taken care of. At no additional charge two new tires, a front in alignment, and new brakes all around were completed as maintenance when I picked the vehicle up on Thursday. I highly recommend this dealership and I want to thank Jacob for his assistance and total commitment to proving exceptional service. Charles & Veronica Winters More
