This dealership earns my coveted 5th star for an "above and beyond expected experience". My story begins with the sight unseen purchase a 2018 Macan GTS from a BMW dealership, and a skipped (never again) and beyond expected experience". My story begins with the sight unseen purchase a 2018 Macan GTS from a BMW dealership, and a skipped (never again) PPI at the closest Porsche dealership (20 minutes away). What the BMW dealership missed (intentionally or unintentionally) was a number of issues with the car, namely an episodic error message with the air-suspension, leather lifting up on the dash, and mushy aftermarket brakes. Truthfully, in all fairness I just don’t think they knew the car and what known issues to look for. A quick trip to the closest Porsche dealership would have discovered what later was picked up. Would that have affected my buying decision? Possibly, but so be it. I love the car. After receiving the car and driving it for a couple of weeks I booked the belated PPI with Porsche Clearwater. Ale in Service was excellent on the phone, super friendly and on receiving the VIN locating a nice balance of extended warranty and booking me in for inspection. Wait time (so common with many Porsche dealerships)? None. The PPI included a great video by the technician texted to my phone pointing out the tire wear, the aftermarket brakes (who knew?) and a previous unmentioned oil leak (known issue - cam covers?). Service manager Steven was excellent, spending a good amount of time with me, a car enthusiast himself (always nice), and ordered the parts under warranty and I’m soon to book the GTS in to bring it up to good nick. Aside from the great technical service and a complete report, my contact with Porsche Clearwater’s new younger service oriented crew bolstered my some-what low confidence in the newer post-Covid generation of employees. Stars for each of location, staff friendliness, technical proficiency and $$ value, and the 5th for the overall “above and beyond expected” experience. More
