Bernardi Volvo Cars Natick responded

This customer accused us of not refilling his engine oil after performing a service. The customer had driven 2,375 miles by the time the vehicle made it back to us with the oil lite on. Clearly if we had not refilled his oil the vehicle would not have made it 2,375 miles. We requested to have a feild service engineer from Volvo Cars come out to the dealerhsip and inspect the vehicle. The engineer determined that we were NOT at fault for the failure and in no WAY caused the issue to arise. As far as renewing components while the vehicle was still under warranty-the vehicle is a 2003 model year and went out of warranty back in 2007. Despite all of this, because we greatly value our customers we worked with Volvo Cars as an advocate for the customer and negotiated a goodwill gesture in which Volvo would purchase an engine for the vehicle and we at Lee Volvo would reduce the labor to fit the component. The repair bill was reduced from approx. $10,000 down to less than $2000.00.
