First Time Car Buyer Proud Subaru Owner I was a first time car buyer when I came down to Mid-City Subaru to look for a car that suited my needs. Prior to my arrival I had decided that I want I was a first time car buyer when I came down to Mid-City Subaru to look for a car that suited my needs. Prior to my arrival I had decided that I wanted something fast, new, and with plenty of cargo space. I set my eyes on a new 2017 Subaru Forester 2.0XT in Crystal White Pearl exterior with Saddle Brown Leather interior. I know sales representatives have always been looked as someone that’s going to pressure you into buying something you don’t want. But from the moment I stepped foot into the dealership to the moment I left, I didn’t feel that pressure that people have always talked about with dealership sales reps. I met my sales Rep, Robert Folks, soon after walking through the doors. Initially I was a bit nervous because it was my first time buying a new car but after introducing myself to Rob and getting a chance to talk to him, I started to feel less and less nervous as we discussed what I was looking for. I was treated very kindly and respectfully by Rob. I let Rob know everything I wanted on the vehicle and the dealership just happened to have the vehicle that I wanted in the lot. We went out and took a look at it and boy was I impressed at this White Forester with brown leather without the eyesight option. I was so excited about the vehicle I wanted to go inside and take a look at the numbers for the vehicle. I had previously gotten a quote from Adonis, the internet account manager, and didn’t realize till I was looking at the numbers of the vehicle in the lot. But there was one problem; the vehicle from the lot and the vehicle from the quote were totally different vehicles. Rob had asked me if I wanted the vehicle that was in the lot or if I wanted the vehicle from the quote. When I had first met Rob in my nervous state, I had told him that I wanted a Subaru Forester 2.5i and not the 2.0XT. Man did I feel like I messed up, but Rob said, “Don’t worry about it; I’m going to get you the car that you want”. Unfortunately because of the color combination without the eyesight, the vehicle wasn’t available. So rob said not to worry about it, he’ll take care of everything for me. And he did, a few weeks later the vehicle arrived on the transport out of Vancouver Washington and I came back the next day to iron out the details and paperwork. Financing was a breeze and effortless, their financing team took care of my needs thanks to JJ Vock. I was a one step closer to taking the vehicle home. After being financed and ready to rock and roll, I scheduled an appointment with Rob to take possession of the vehicle the next day but due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to make the appointment. So I called rob to let him know what was going on and if we could reschedule. He said no problem and we rescheduled for the next day in the morning. I picked up the vehicle the next day after he sat down with me in the car and went through and introduction of the vehicles functions with me. The multimedia systems, the control systems, its security features, the remote push start key fob that I had ordered with the vehicle. He did an excellent job instructing me on how to operate most of the basic controls on the vehicle. After it was all said and done and I was ready to take off in my brand new vehicle, I realized Rob had come in on his day off to the dealership and hand the car off to me. He came to the dealership to put those keys in my hand and took the time to go over the vehicle. That’s an amazing salesman that takes pride in the work he does; I would highly recommend having Rob Folks as sales rep to anyone that’s interested in buying a new or used vehicle at Mid-City Subaru. He took very good care of me and not once did I feel like I was being pushed into buying something I didn’t want. I am now a proud owner of a 2017 Forester 2.0XT. You rock Rob! Call him up people!
