I recently had a troubling experience with the Toyota service center in Berlin City, Portland, Maine. After my son took his car in for service, we noticed strange and concerning noises coming from the wh service center in Berlin City, Portland, Maine. After my son took his car in for service, we noticed strange and concerning noises coming from the wheels while driving on the highway, making the car unsafe to drive. When my son returned to the service center, he spoke with Jeffrey Bishop, who was in charge of the service. Jeffrey informed us that we would be charged for additional service and was unprofessional and disrespectful, raising his voice at my son. Despite requesting to speak with the manager, Ben Krauter, the situation was not resolved. Jeffrey continued to be confrontational, which was shocking and unacceptable for a customer service experience. Ultimately, we had to pay for a second round of service, even though the initial problem was caused by their work. After picking up the car and paying again, the issue persisted, and we discovered that the wheel studs were loose, which is extremely dangerous. The service center’s handling of the situation was appalling, and the main issue remains unresolved. I strongly advise against using this service center due to their poor customer service and the dangerous quality of their work. More
This has to be the worst service department I have ever visited. The service advisor was very aggressive and dismissive. I guess I should not have shared with him that I was going to recommend that my daug visited. The service advisor was very aggressive and dismissive. I guess I should not have shared with him that I was going to recommend that my daughter stop bringing her Highlander to the dealership for service, because at that point his physical posture, sarcastic response and facial expressions made it very evident the situation could escalate out of control. We will never use this dealership again. More
Berlin city booked a 1 pm appointment for and oil change and tire rotation. I was told 1:15 mins. After texting my service advisors with no answer. At most it should be an hour for this service. I was going to sign up for the 3 oil change service but my time is too valuable to be held hostage for poor planning. Came in for an oil change. Britanee met me at my car in the bay. She looked over my vehical and notified me that I was in desperate need of windshield wipers. Multiple terrible experience with service technicians, especially Jeffery. Definition of sleezeball, no respect, very rude, felt taken advantage of got zero apologies or explanation of why the 800 dollars especially Jeffery. I leased 2 vehicles from this dealership the sales department was great. That leaves the service department the worst treatment I ever had. Such an incredible experience with zero pain. I had gone to a very close by dealer who offered very small discount and lower trade. I emailed Berlin and was immediately offered huge discounts and higher tr to a very close by dealer who offered very small discount and lower trade. Forced to make another appointment and made them test drive it with me and they finally acknowledged there was a problem. The technician had installed them incorrectly and the new drums were damaged and had to be replaced again. Very bad experience. If there's a problem with your work, do not give customers the phone-tree runaround. Get it fixed right away. This would be a one star but we did't die while the brakes were bad and they didn't charge to fix the damage they caused at least—so that's something. More
