-worked with a salesperson "Ernest" who was very friendly- we test drove a vehicle, made an offer- then went into a counter offer phase- after some discussion we had an agreement- Sales person very friendly- we test drove a vehicle, made an offer- then went into a counter offer phase- after some discussion we had an agreement- Sales person was willing to accept this on a handshake- we offered some money for a down payment- but he and his sales manager agreed a handshake and good will was ok- We settled on a price and after phone calls and e mails we were set to buy the vehicle- We explained we would get the financing and it would take a week- the company agreed it was ok- within two days of this hey called and wanted us to buy within a day- the sales manager said it was the policy of his company owner who lived in Colorado. After some research the owner lives in Colorado but does not have a policy that you must buy as soon as you agree- To me they had another person looking at the same vehicle as us- they offered more than us and they made it sound as if we were not serious- so as far as used car people are they are the example of "pond xxxx" this dealership is an example of buyer Beware. This place is horrible! I bought my Sedona used on June 8. Here it is 5 months later and my head gasket is gone. I had the van for a whooping 3000 miles and now I have a car payment and nothing to drive. I 8. Here it is 5 months later and my head gasket is gone. I had the van for a whooping 3000 miles and now I have a car payment and nothing to drive. I cannot afford the repairs and they are only willing to go 50/50 with me plus I would need to pay towing charges to bring it up to Burlington. I was told we had signed off on the extended warranty, which I guess we must have but we were never told we could buy one just that we needed the stupid GAP insurance that I will most likely never use. These people are worthless, customer service is not what they stand for more like line their pockets. They do NOT care about their customers at ALL! They are good at covering up but eventually someone will sue their sorry worthless butts! More
When I first bought my car nothing seemed wrong with it until one night it would not turn over (aka it did not start) just to find they had sold me a car with a corroded dead battery. Now I live about 100 until one night it would not turn over (aka it did not start) just to find they had sold me a car with a corroded dead battery. Now I live about 100 miles away from the dealership, but I took the trip up because I had a “coupon” for a free inspection I was like : Great get it looked at see what they can do about the battery and maybe reimburse me to buy the new one. I get there to face a $175 charge to hulk up the new battery that I never asked them to do in the first place. It a simple fix that takes 3 minutes to do. I had asked to keep the old battery since I was to recycle it and make some of the money back from the cost of a new one, but never go it back. A year later I go in for my inspection of my car as every person need to do. Taking the 100 mile hike up again midway threw my break and check engine light comes on, I simply said good thing were headed to get it inspected. Maybe wail they look at the breaks for the inspection they can tell me if there’s anything wrong since they need to look at it anyways. Boy was I wrong I got charge $15 for a FREE state inspection $60 for a break inspection and $130 for a computer to tell me my gas cap was loose! Oh and don’t forget the $25 “environmental charge”. I asked to be informed of any repairs and Ill say to do them or not, they respected that and gave me a guess of $500 to repair my breaks that consisted of a caliper and a hose. Not trying to diss out on girls, but I did not know if that was good or not so I called my dad to find out that it’s a 30 min fix and the parts only cost $60. I said no thanks to the Dealer and went to Auto Zone picked up the parts and for $90 got it fixed by a garage. Not only were they cheating me out on money but they never told me out right how much it was going to cost. And to charge me for something they said was FREE was unbelievable. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Last note when I bought the car they said it was in preteen condition no rust or anything I look further into the car after I had baught it and could not get out the lone to find rust all on my car door, by my back right tire and a month later my paint starts to chip off the hood during the summer time More
I've never had a worse service experience ever, car related or other. Below is a copy of the e-mail I sent to their Service Director. I'm waiting for a response. I chose to bring my vehicle to you m related or other. Below is a copy of the e-mail I sent to their Service Director. I'm waiting for a response. I chose to bring my vehicle to you mainly for convenience reasons given that you had Saturday appointments available. After being charged for a State Inspection I neither asked for or needed during a previous service appointment, I have to tell you that you were not my first choice. My car was driving fine when I brought it in for a 60,000 mile service per the manufacturer’s recommendations (this included balancing and rotating the tires). At this time, the service representative at the desk stated that the service would most likely be $400 and that he would call me if the charges would be over that amount. I received a phone call 2 .5 hours later stating that my car was complete and my keys could be picked up at the front sales desk. Upon picking up my car I was charged $454.97 total. While I was a little disappointed that this was never discussed with me on the phone even when I spoke with the service rep in person, I let it go as I walked out the door. However, as I began to drive home to Montpelier my car seemed a bit loud and shaky around 20mph. Once I got onto 89 on and neared 50mph my car became extremely loud and began to shake and vibrate, feeling extremely unsafe. With no one at the dealership and no other way to get home, I drove the rest of the way home at very slow speeds with my flashers on. While I was aware that the service department is closed on Sundays, I called hoping that there might be someone I could speak with. I explained the situation to your Sales Manager, Rob, who told me that he would personally make sure that I was called “first thing Monday morning”, and quickly skirted me off the phone. It is my understanding that your service department opens at 7:30am on Monday mornings. As of 8:30am Monday morning, I had received no phone call. I called myself at 8:30 and spoke with Bryce, who was patient despite my anger and had me bring the car in. I also discussed with him the fact that the labor charges on my receipt don’t add up. The receipt states the labor rate of $85.95 and the RO Opened: 10:05 and Ready: 12:47. By my rough calculation (2.75 hours), this should amount to $236.36. Yet, the labor amount on my bill lists $267.84. I also spoke to Bryce about how I tried to contact you, Mr.Wright, at the phone number that’s printed on my receipt. I even tried a few times to be sure that I hadn’t entered the phone number incorrectly. However, as the recording states, the extension is “not valid”. This only left me more irate. None of these issues were resolved through speaking with Bryce despite his patience. Upon looking at my car the technician found that both front tires had broken belts and Bryce stated that one of the tires showed “a large welt”. Here is where most of my dissatisfaction lies. It is incomprehensible to me how my tires could have been rotated and balanced and this could have gone unnoticed. It must either be negligence or neglect as it seems that “a large welt” and broken belts on both tires could go unnoticed by one technician, but easy to find (within 40mins) by another. Especially, given that one of the itemized tasks performed on my vehicle Saturday lists a “Courtesy Multi-Point Inspection”. Regardless of what this inspection includes, it is unfathomable to me that the integrity of the tires would not be checked when they are being rotated and balanced. This brings about many questions and concerns about the quality of your technicians, the quality of your service department, and furthermore the company as a whole. I have zero confidence in the service that has been performed on my vehicle. To the point where I feel that I need to have a different mechanic confirm with me that my car is in fact sound and safe to drive and that all of the work listed on my receipt was performed, and properly. Therefore, I would like a refund for the money that I have spent as I will be needing to have my car seen by another mechanic. Especially, after getting out of work to see that two different size tires were sold to me and mounted onto my car without ever discussing the change in size, they're also touring tires and not all-season as I had asked for. Overall this entire experience has been a grand inconvenience and a disappointment. I was inconvenienced Sunday when driving my car seemed clearly unsafe, and further on Monday when I had to make another trip to the Service Department. Now, I’ll need to bring my car to a different mechanic so that I can be assured that my car is in safe driving condition and no other problems have been missed or neglected. I have been inappropriately charged, obvious service that my car needed was neglected and could have put my safety at risk. There was no follow-through from Rob or Service when I was promised a phone call, and there is no valid phone number to get in touch with a person of authority. It saddens me to think that I have received such poor service from a company that boast values of community, “over-the-top values and experiences”, and “peace of mind”. For, I have experienced none of this. More
First of all don't believe anything they tell you ,They will tell you after you buy a car from them that if you refer someone to them and they will give you $ 100.00 for the refer ,Good luck getting it the will tell you after you buy a car from them that if you refer someone to them and they will give you $ 100.00 for the refer ,Good luck getting it they will give you every excuse in the book hoping you will give up and forget about it. Next I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento LX AWD paid good money to have the tan seats treated so they won't stain well either they never put anything on the seats or the seats have a problem . No one is allowed to drink anything but water in the car and no food , But if you should spill a little water or get out of the car when it's raining and the seat gets wet it stains it. I have brought it in twice to have the seats so called cleaned and retreated only to keep happening when ever they get wet. The last time I was there I had the salesman and the service department come out and look at them and was told to bring it back and have them done again . This is not going to happen I have been trying to get them to replace the seats only to fall on deaf ears or being told they will set up a time for it to be done and than never heriring from them. Is this the way to treat someone who has bought 3 cars from them. When you pay $ 27000.00 for a car you expect good service. But at Berlin City when you buy a car from them and you leave you are history good luck getting anything done with out excuse after excuse. They are all over you when you walk thru the door but when you need the have something done they all run the other way. I will never refer anyone to them again or buy another car from them again. And don't bother to talk to the Manager he as bad as the rest of them and will only to lie to you also as he has taught his sales people to do. More
Larry was not pushy. He understood that I really wanted my crashed car back but they don't make them anymore. He didn't try to constantly compare the Sorrento to my Honda. When it was time to talk $ he wa my crashed car back but they don't make them anymore. He didn't try to constantly compare the Sorrento to my Honda. When it was time to talk $ he was most accommodating and helpful. He explained all the bells & whistles, which I promptly forgot. He didn't think I was dumb not knowing what he was talking about, or if he did he kept it to himself. All in all if I had to part with my Honda Larry was extraordinarily helpful. More
Went in to look at a Kia Sportage (used) and they offered to let me test drive for 24 hours. After inspecting it I found a a cracked steering wheel where the airbag is and an impression in the other air bag to let me test drive for 24 hours. After inspecting it I found a a cracked steering wheel where the airbag is and an impression in the other air bag cover. Also, there were scratches on the hood. There was also a small oil leak near one of the seals. I paid for AutoCheck report and found it had been in an accident. They did not tell me this before I took it. Also, the vehicle was about $1000 too high on price. So when I went back, I asked for the CarFax report and they were "surprised" they hadn't given it to me. In fact, the salesperson insisted she had told me it had been in an accident. Wrong. I decided to offer on the car anyway and the manager said "absolutely not" and was really rather rude. He didn't even want to negotiate which I found weird. He said he had priced in the accident and because it was winter he could ask for a higher price. I could easily find one not in an accident for the same price or less! Also, on the finance sheet it should an "administrative fee" off $299 which I didn't even get a chance to discuss. This place is very typical of a bad dealership. More

I have never purchased a car so quickly and easily. I did a little research on the Kia Sportage and Sorrento. (Hubby did LOTS). We had a weekend to get it all together. Went to Berlin City, met Mark and did a little research on the Kia Sportage and Sorrento. (Hubby did LOTS). We had a weekend to get it all together. Went to Berlin City, met Mark and it was easy-breezy. Easiest purchase ever. Love the price. Love the warranty. Love the car -- both style and color. I'm thinking this will be a much better relationship than I had with my Nissan Murano. More
