Excellent experience under trying circumstances I wanted to trade my leased 2015 Civic coupe for a 2018 Fit. I am retired have a small fixed income. Megan C. worked wit.h me and came up with an acce I wanted to trade my leased 2015 Civic coupe for a 2018 Fit. I am retired have a small fixed income. Megan C. worked wit.h me and came up with an acceptable offer. On the day I was to turn in my leased Civic, I was involved in an accident which totaled the Civic. In addition to the accident, Berlin City could not get my credit information from Experian. When Equifax had it's data breach. I took advantage of their off to freeze my credit report and was told that they would also notify Transunion and Experian of the freeze. Since I only had a PIN from Equifax I was having difficulty unfreezing the Experian report. It took me a week before I finally got the report unfrozen. I wanted a blue Fit and Berlin City had ordered one, but sold it while my credit was frozen. I was offed a couple of different colors, but decided I would wait for another blue one to come in. It only took 24 hours for the car to be ready. More
Still under warranty I was having trouble opening the rear hatch of my leased CRV. ! was told it would take about 1 hour 15 minutes to diagnose. Rude, condescending sales person If I could 0 stars, I would. There are not enough words to describe the horrible experience my husband and I had leasing our 2018 CRV from Berlin City If I could 0 stars, I would. There are not enough words to describe the horrible experience my husband and I had leasing our 2018 CRV from Berlin City. We knew going in we wanted to lease another CRV as my lease was ending on my current vehicle (2015 CRV) and we were very impressed with the redesign, Honda's reputation, and the amenities that came with the 2018. My husband dealt with Dana in the beginning of the process and when the negotiations began, Cliff took over. He tried to sell us a demo car with 4,000 miles as a 'new car' which he did not agree with - seeing as we have a pick up truck with 5,000 miles on it - is that brand new? No. Once Cliff finally relented, and we got to a price he felt comfortable with, he told him he needed to do his due diligence as Berlin City was the first place he visited. Cliff proceeded to rip the paper (with the pricing) off the desk, rip it up, and essentially told my husband to get out. After visiting a few other dealerships, my husband returned to Berlin City, swallowing his pride and admitting Berlin City had the best price. Cliff came back with a monthly price of $25 less than what was agreed on earlier in the day, and that they would pay off the remainder of my 2015. The car needed to be brought up from another dealership so we were to pick it up on Monday. Later in the week, I checked my online portal for the 2015 to double check what we owed - and it was almost $300 more than what the check we were to receive was for. We stopped in over the weekend to check with Dana (in hopes to avoid Cliff due to our past experience with him) and Cliff approached while we were waiting for Dana. We asked about the difference in amounts and he kept repeating that Berlin City knows nothing about the $300 price difference, they were to pay off the remaining payments of the car. After some back and forth, Cliff belittled us, dismissed us mid conversation and walked away. Without saying it, we were told to screw off. I was appalled. My husband leased this car as a surprise to me so I was not with him the initial interaction with Cliff. We went to the car, my husband turned back around and asked to speak to Cliff's manager, Jeff, who quite frankly was the only saving grace in this whole process. He explaining the price difference immediately, telling us it would shake off within a few days (since we leased another Honda the $300 fee is waived) - which, if Cliff, had told us this from the beginning, would have avoided this entire interaction and quite frankly ruined Berlin City's reputation for us. Jeff was extremely apologetic, kind, and tried to rectify the situation Cliff had created. How can someone is sales speak to customers in the way? If we could have returned the car, we would have. More
