I came prepared and knew exactly what I wanted and was willing to pay for it and they seemed almost seemed to appreciate that. The Finance Manger (wish I could recall his name) was very friendly and processed my paperwork in less than 25 minutes. I was thrilled to say the least. I drove 3 different cars, negotiated the sale and signed the paperwork in about two and half hours. That's what I want in a dealership. More
I had arrived at the sales floor while my 2006 Ridgeline was in for warranty service and decided to test drive a few cars. I was quickkly greated by Benjamin Yeaton and I explained to him that I had my tru was in for warranty service and decided to test drive a few cars. I was quickkly greated by Benjamin Yeaton and I explained to him that I had my truck in service (as to not waste a salesman's time) but that I was interested in looking at some more efficient vehicles. Benjamin was more then helpful. He asked what my driving habits were. He started me in a Fit (which I liked), then we tried a the Insight which I hated) and then we stumbled upon a barely used 2009 Civic-which I loved. During the test drive of the Civic, I actually began to consider giving up my truck. Benjamin reinforced my feelings by stating how strong of a trade-in value the Ridgeline had. Benjamin submited my deal as I wanted it and it was not accepted by the sales manager- but Benjamin thanked me for My time and said that he would keep me posted should prices move more toward where I wanted them to be. I phoned Benjamin later that evening and told him of an offer from another dealership. Benjamin said that he would be in touch with his sales manager and that I should expect a phone call the next day. I did recieve a call at 8:30 A.M. from the sales manager and a deal I could not refuse was presented. I love my new Civic! Benjamin did a great job converting scheduled matinence into a new "used" sale. My wallet is appreciating the better mpg's too! highly recommended dealership and salesman! More

Berlin City did not live up to their philosophy of keeping it simple. We spent four hours working to a deal. Their orignal "Best Offer" was insulting at best. We did purchase the vehicle. Steven Gendron was the ultimate professional in showing us the 2009 CRV. Initially we were looking for a used van and he was keeping an eye out for us. I have bought several vehicles in the past from various family dealerships and have always been totally pleased with my experiences. Never again will I buy from a big auto mall. Their motto is "over the to family dealerships and have always been totally pleased with my experiences. Never again will I buy from a big auto mall. Their motto is "over the top care by down to earth people." That is such a total farse as I received no customer care whatsoever. The minute they have their money in hand they want nothing more to do with the customer and will not even return your phone calls. I have never had a such a frustrating experience in my life. I received nothing but the run around from the finance dept to the general manager himself. I was lied to repeatedly, and found the staff that I dealt with to be totally arrogant, unorganized and unprofessional. They are not willing to admit and accept their mistakes and instead get angry and huffy when customers are not satisfied. If you are smart you will never ever buy from Berlin City Auto dealerships. I had been debating on whether or not to trade my '97 Blazer in for weeks and Melissa was not only available, but informative and went out of her way to help me make a decision right for me. Unfortunately, my first choice ended up not being the best and Melissa immediately got working on another option for me. The entire team made it happen and I am MORE than pleased with the results! Melissa got things done and I left feeling taken care of in more ways than just walking away with a new car! I went into the dealership knowing that with my credit the way it is I would probably be denied but thought I will take a chance and maybe it would work out. I told them at the beginning that I was aware of my credit. I sat down to go through the process with Joe. As we sat to begin Joe's cell phone rang and he answered it, never once excusing himself! While he continued to ask for my information he stayed more engaged in his personal life then work life. I didn't understand him when he had asked for my phone number and thought at first he asked whomever on the phone "do you r'memba", then he looked at me and said very loudly and in a mean tone, "I asked you your phone number". While he was still on the phone he was repeating my number and the other person could hear him. (I had information written down on a small post it) At this point I said I think that this should continue another time since I was intruding on his phonecall. He said to me loud and mean enough so that all 3 customers and a 4th just walking in heard him, along with the other salesmen in the room, "you're not getting a car so get out of here", and next thing I saw on his screen was a credit report. I made a call and was advised to call a friend who is a para-legal to ask about legal guidance. They told me they were 98% sure that Joe breached confidentiality. I came home and sent an email to Berlin City saying I would like to speak with someone who oversee's Joe. David called me first thing in the morning and said he would talk to Joe and let him know this is not acceptable behavior. David also said to me that the cell phone was one the company gives the sales team. I don't know of any company giving employees an Iphone, with the ringtone "bad to the bone". I am not at all upset I didn't get a vehicle, I knew the possibility was there when I went in. I am very upset that I was more then respectful of Joe and he treated me like dirt. I think that being able to express the horrible experience on here is more then enough at this point to show the dealership how poorly their employee acted on their behalf. On a better note, I did call another dealership's GM and asked about my experience at Berlin and who I could contact to tell this story. They gave me this website and even better, they took all my information and I will be driving a gas saving vehicle thanks to a caring dealership!! More
