This dealership was great. I surprised at the great selection they had, and Harti even showed me inventory at the other stores--so really great selection, esp. of trucks (what I was looking for). Their whole inventory is online complete with tons of photos--that was super helpful. I drove over an hour to get there and the truck looked exactly as the photos showed online--very glad I made the trip. Thanks for the great service -- and I love the John Wayne photos in the office! Bought through Ebay online classifieds and 66 pictures given of RV. However none were closeups of damage found once there. I have had to put over 2500. more into RV and they even lost the cashiers check we gave them to pay for it. Then held our title for over 3 months and put us through trying to get them their cashiers check replaced which we tried to do but it was only for them to request the replacement. However during this time they offered to pay us 2000.00 for the non stated damages in the ad and to make things right, However now they will not return calls and said they would call back and will not honor their previous offer. Seems once they got their lost check they just sent us the title and wanted nothing more to do with this lemon of a RV. I have been in retail for 30 years and in customer service and I recommend you find a reputable place to buy your vehicle and their motto is drive our reputation. Really? More
I like the last two comments, probably employees is my guess. The customer service was mediocre at best and was the only positive aspect of our experience at first. True the price is nice, but the quality is suspect in most of the vehicles we were interested in. We are repeat customers of the Brighton location and this last time we bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee. They did not have one in stock but after calling them and telling them what I wanted, they called me back the next week and said they had one that would fit all my requirements. We looked, drove, and bought. Paperwork and all were done in about an hour. They can make things simple in a complicated world. I have found everywhere in life, if you are nice to them, they will be nice to you. More

I traded my motorcycle in and purchased a Ford F-250. The customer service is good but could be better. Approximately two days after purchasing the Ford F-250, the check engine light came on. I took the Ford (Diesel) to Lake Arbor in Westminster and invested another $1, 0000 plus dollars into an EGR sensor, updates and other various issues. Two days after having all the work done to the vehicle, the check engine light came on again (this time for a low boost turbo). I took it back to Lake Arbor and determined Berkenkotter Motor’s had “flashed” the check engine light prior to selling the truck. They advised it is typical for the check engine light to be off for two day’s before returning back on. Even though the truck was sold “as is” I took it back to see if I could trade it in for another truck (in better running condition). Hardi and the manager were willing to take it back but not for what they sold it to me for. They told me they would take the truck back for $16,000. My purchase price was $22,000! They were going to upended me by $6000 on top of charging me for dealer handling fees and such forth. Needless to say, I walked out and figured I wouldn’t be back. Approximately two weeks later, I went to the Adams County DMV to register the Ford. I was advised the dealership had not sent in the title-work and I was charged an additional fee to extend the temporary tag until the proper documentation had been turned in. I contacted Berkenkotter Motors and they advised the paper work had been sent in and would be ready to go. I went back to the DMV the following week and again was told they had not received it. I contacted Hardi who advised it was the lending banks fault for not submitting the documentation. I contacted the bank who advised the paperwork had been incorrectly filled out and had to send it back into the dealership. At this point, I am still waiting to register the Ford and have been unable to track down the title-work. I recommend to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle through this dealership to think twice and remember what I went through. This dealership is unprofessional, un organized and cheaters (flashing the check engine light). I recommend that you don’t do any business with Berkenkotter Motors even though they do have a good selection in trucks. I recommend shopping around with larger dealerships to find the truck your looking for. More
I purchased a used truck from them in June. For the past 3 months, I have been working on repairing this vehicle after I took it to the only reputable dealership in the metro area for this make of truck. They had stated that there were over $7K in problems that were not taken care of before it was sold. Also, the tires in the rear were 8 years old on a 3 year old truck telling us that used tires were probably put on this vehicle before it was sold. One of the tires blew out while towing a trailer causing damage to the truck, that is when I realized I had not checked for jack assembly or accessories, neither of which existed. Many attempts to call, no call back. Settled on a series of nasty emails that were never responded to. The only time they called was a couple days after the sale, they wanted parts for my trade in. No way I was going to give them anything after selling me an unsafe vehicle at full price. Johnson in Brighton is an excellent facility, excellent service professionals and are not vultures in the sales room. If you plan to go to Berkenkotter for an American made vehicle, dont bother, head over to Johnson instead. They took care of everything wrong with my vehicle, billed it all back to the manufacturer warranty and now I drive all the way from Castle Rock to Brighton for service from Johnson, they are really that good. I normally do not advertise for anyone, but Johnson was the EXACT opposite of Berkenkotter, I wish I would have gone there instead. DO NOT BUY FROM BMOTORS. More
I have purchased 2005 Acura MDX from Berkenkotter Motors in Brighton and Castle Rock Colorado used car dealer. As soon as I drove home, I found that there is oil leak not from oil pan or oil drain plug. Oi in Brighton and Castle Rock Colorado used car dealer. As soon as I drove home, I found that there is oil leak not from oil pan or oil drain plug. Oil was all over under chasis and I carefully inspected and I found out that it was there for a long time. The oil leak was slow and cumulating on the under chasis cover and overflowing from there. It will take while to cummulate and over flow from the cover. I took it to the dealer told him about the problem and they don't deny the problem. But they don't want to refund the money since vehicle is sold "AS IS". So I look up what "AS IS" meant, it says it does not shield dealer from mis-leading or mis-representing to make sale. Clearly, they knew about the problem, but they decided not to tell me the problem existed. I have requested to cancel the contract as soon as I found out and so far, they are refusing to do so. More
