When I say best I mean: good cars at good prices, but most importantly they stand behind their cars so you can have peace of mind that when something goes wrong they will work with you until the issues are resolved and until you're completely satisfied. Here's my story: after an unfortunate accident in which our car was totaled, my wife and I needed a car. I was looking for something used but with very low mileage, and at the same time affordable - kind of a contradiction in terms, since low mileage doesn't come cheap. After browsing the web for a couple of days I found a 1-owner practically new Focus at a price that actually matched to the dollar the Kelly Blue Book value - something unheard of at a dealership. I went there, drove it, paid and took it home. After about 2 weeks, one sunny morning the car simply stalls in the middle of an intersection, seriously endangering my wife's life. I go pick her up, I am black with anger and want to give the car back. The sales manager Scott - and this is the guy you want to talk to, he's a gentleman - says "Let's take it to service and see what they find and how serious it is and we'll go from there". I can't dispute that it's a reasonable proposal, so he gives me a rental for the day, and in the evening I get back the repaired Focus, after apparently a very minor fix (battery contact). After less than a week, again on a Mon morning, same thing happens: car doesn't start. I lose my temper and contact Scott, he promptly sends a towing truck for it, and a rental car for me, and agrees that there can be no question about my taking this car back. I browse his inventory, choose something else (unfortunately more expensive) but he is even kind enough to let us drive it for a few days so that we're completely satisfied with this second one before we purchase. That's exactly what we did, and it turned out to be a brilliant idea because at the end of a few days I realized there were some things I hated about this new car so we didn't take it. We took a few more cars for a test drive and finally decided on one, and today we're very happy with it. I was impressed with Scott's integrity, cordiality, the promptitude with which he helped us and his unfaltering support throughout the whole process - I sincerely recommend him and his dealership. From the moment I walked in the door I was immediately put at ease by the friendliness of the staff, from the receptionist to the salespeople I encountered. In particular, I worked with Sales Representative Keith Godshall on the details of the vehicle purchase. I found Keith to be extremely knowledgeable, fair and courteous. Keith did not play any games with me or try to pressure me into a deal. We quickly worked out a price and trade in value, and before I knew it I was driving off in a beautiful new Explorer. I will definitely go back to Bergey's next time I am looking to buy a car . I would recommend Bergey's Ford in Ambler to anyone considering a vehicle purchase. They have a first class operation.
