Had an appointment and dropped off my 2018 Jeep Wrangler on 12/11/24 to get an estimate on some minor repairs (oil leak, timing chain being lose and break pads/rotors needing to be replaced) and they would on 12/11/24 to get an estimate on some minor repairs (oil leak, timing chain being lose and break pads/rotors needing to be replaced) and they would call me after looking at it with the estimate. We agreed there would be no costs unless it was agreed to in advance. I called multiple times over the next 2 weeks to get information. Each time someone was to call me back but instead I would have to follow up again - sometimes I was told my service advisor was just out of the office and would then find out he's actually on vacation (which would be fine but just tell me that). Eventually, after 2 weeks, and having to actually schedule a call days in advance to be able to speak with someone who could provide information, I was given an estimate totaling $4,480.42 including $1998.24 to replace the break pads and rotors (which should cost well under half that amount based on the quote I got from a Different Jeep dealership). I let them know to do no work and when I would pick it up. After waiting 45 minutes for my service advisor (who I was told was not even there) I was presented with an arbitrary bill that I hadn't agreed to for $241.33 (and which they knew was wrong as I even overhead them say, "I wonder how he's going to react to this" before giving it to me). I of course refused to pay that bill and was only told to "have a nice day" and given my keys after I mentioned possibly having to call the police. More
