Don't want my bad survey review to reflect upon service rep. I'm wasting gas/time for nothing to get a car back that still has the same issue. I did this three Fridays in a row, and the third Friday was the last for me with this particular Chevy. However, I'm writing this review now because I don't want my bad survey of this chevy to reflect at all on my service rep Jeremy Anderson. He communicated things well to me, told me what he could with what knowledge he had. He even tried to get me to bring my car back a 4th time and I have to kindly refuse. Hold on to Jeremy, he put up well with the awkwardness of me and my vehicle returning three Fridays in a row, and/or his maintenance crew telling him that nothing is wrong with it. All the while, all of those things are still currently wrong with my vehicle. Thanks. More
Used Car Purchase Bought a 2009 used Acadia from them. The sales people were awesome, so easy to purchase the car. After we got the car home, things started fall apart. Bought a 2009 used Acadia from them. The sales people were awesome, so easy to purchase the car. After we got the car home, things started fall apart. Not major things, but things that needed fixed. Took the car in for service, now 7 months later, taking it back for service on the same thing. This time, I was told it was "all in my head". Took it to another dealership (Fox in Caledonia). They found my motor for my defrost was shot and needed to be replaced. Really Berger?? You couldn't figure that out! Thanks Fox for fixing it!! No thanks to Berger for just charging me a fee to tell me it's all in my head!!! More

Had my car towed to a shop where they told me I needed a new engine and they could not assist me. I was advised to contact Berger to see if I was still under warranty. Spoke to Jordan (phone rep) and she was extremely helpful and explained I did have a warranty. Also, Berger would send a shuttle to pick up my keys (I was at work) and then send a tow truck to move my car from the other shop. On my lunch break I stopped at Berger to sign some paperwork. To my surprise everyone made sure I was being helped. I was introduced to Fawn, and she was EXTREAMLY helpful and kind. She eased my mind and quickly explained the process and introduced me to Tom M (rental car rep.). It took Tom about 10 minutes to put me in a loaner car (at no charge because it was covered under the warranty). It took Berger under 24 hours to find the problem, fix it, and complete a much needed alignment. Better news I walked out only paying for my alignment. I wanted to make sure to point out the OUTSTANDING experience I had with Fawn, and everyone else who was involved. I am very happy with the outcome and I would recommend Berger Service Center to anyone of my friend/family! Great job everyone! ? More
Service blunder on my part I went into Berger to get some routine service work done on my 2014 Silverado. I was scheduled for 9:05 a.m. on 2-25-14. It took much longer than I thought and was getting rather impatient with my wait. I didn't complain, when it was done I asked what their hours were so I could try to schedule a later appointment for my next service so it didn't eat away at my work day. Well I got back to work and my note was actually for the 26th, not the 25th. The service writer never said anything about me being a day early. He just tried his best to accommodate me and my poor organizational skills. Thank you Drew Molnar in service for your professionalism. More

I also had a quote on body work done and had the glass window replace on the driver's side door help by Randy Smith. Joe and Randy were very professional and understanding about the situation and were very efficient with follow ups (meeting deadlines), cost effective, both had excellent communications skill by keeping me informed. They went the extra mile with all aspects of the repair and even had my vehicle detailed inside and out. Thank you for going above and beyond to help me out given the situation. A++ 5 out of 5 Stars for going the extra mile. More
From day one I have had a terrible experience. We bought a used car that we had to bring back from the west side of grand rapids 3 times to have work done under warranty because they got what was wrong with a used car that we had to bring back from the west side of grand rapids 3 times to have work done under warranty because they got what was wrong with the car incorrect every time. Each time I went back we had to borrow a friend’s car to drop ours off and pick it up to pay for gas for both vehicles and spend hours driving back and forth during finals week at school. Berger was willing to allow us to pay to rent a car which is utterly ridiculous as they were the ones who were causing us to go back and forth; after complaining about this they gave us a car to use over night. My husband and I were so frustrated we wanted to just get rid of the car and hoped they would mess up three times to call lemon law. After they finally fixed the issues we came back for our oil change and other check-ups routinely. As I knew our warranty was coming up in April 2013 I asked in March to check everything out including brake pads etc. This was especially urgent as I was making a trip to Florida to move in June. They said they would check everything and told me they had and everything was in great condition. However there was a weird noise coming from the brakes which I assumed was usual as they said everything was fine and it was louder after I made my trip to Florida. I had to take my car in and my car needed new calipers, rotors, and brake pads as they had been way over due and I have been told should not have been missed by my check up at the end of march. This cost us almost 900 dollars which would have been nothing if Berger would have done their job and caught the issue during our warranty. From the look of my back wheels it was clear an issue had been happening for some time and we could have crashed our car in the mountains because the brake issue. I had called Berger and they were at first offering us great deals to get it fixed with quotes around 600 dollars which no one could match because all 4 dealerships and auto shops we called said 600 is not possible for that kind of work. Which the 600 they offered would not be helpful anyhow since I had just moved 1300 miles away and could not drive my car 5 miles in its condition. I had talked to Brandon about anything they could do to help and he said we would look to see if Berger could in anyway compensate and to send them a bill and pictures through email. At first he seemed to really care and wanted to help me out but in the end I feel this was not the case. I emailed pictures on the 8th and two days later he emailed me and said the man he needed to talk to was out of town and he would get back to me first thing Monday. Well Monday (15th) came and nothing and Tuesday and Wednesday etc. Meanwhile I am dealing with family emergencies as my grandfather was in the final stages of cancer and was unable to get back to him as my time was more important with my family. After I finally got back to him he said he was still working on it (about 2 weeks after I had originally talked with him) and that he would contact me by email once he got an answer and to not call and that typically Berger won’t do anything on the matter. This is terrible that he knows they treat their customers so poorly. Today is August 19, and I have still not been contacted, more than a month and a half after I had originally called. Since then I have sold the car they never got back to me about and got a new vehicle through a much better Chevy dealership that seems to care more about their customers, I have lost my grandfather, I have gone to a family reunion, and every day I have grown more frustrated from this lack of customer service. I will never recommend Berger to anyone and I will make sure everyone I know in Grand Rapids will go elsewhere as my experience has been terrible. Brandon is not the only person I have worked with and is not the only one at fault for my experience but I should have been respected enough to be contacted. Furthermore, the people they have that drive the cars they just worked on are probably causing many issues to every customers car as every time my car goes into the shop and gets driven up to me when I pick it up they are going at least 30+ mph in the parking lot and slamming on the brakes. This is utterly ridiculous and I would never do this to my car let alone a customers. More
The Bad: I thought my car was running "funny" and overheating during a very hot & humid day. The Good: I was 2 blocks away from Berger when this happened. The Great: I pulled in, walked to th and overheating during a very hot & humid day. The Good: I was 2 blocks away from Berger when this happened. The Great: I pulled in, walked to the service department, and approached a group of employees in the service area. Brandon immediately stopped mid-sentence and turned to ask how he could help me. i explained the problem, he gave me his initial "here's what i think" response, and then sat down at the computer to check the manufacturer's info, which proved he was right in his assessment. Brandon was courteous, succinct, and very personable in his treatment of me and in dealing with my car's problem. No one likes to experience a mechanical malfunction, especially in 90 degree weather at 5 p.m. on 28th Street. I can only say if it happens to you, I hope you're fortunate enough to be handled as well as i was by Brandon. More
I was traveling from out of town when my car broke down 30 minutes from closing on Friday evening. Jeremy Anderson accommodated me in a special way and made my issue seem important to him. He arranged fo 30 minutes from closing on Friday evening. Jeremy Anderson accommodated me in a special way and made my issue seem important to him. He arranged for me to rent a truck over night and diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator. I had plans for Saturday morning and he worked around them and had my truck ready by 10:30 on Saturday morning. I had called another dealer first from the highway and he was very indifferent to my problem. I was out of town and 600 miles from home. It is very comforting to have people treat you kind and show concern for you issue. I can't speak highly enough as to how I was treated and would reccommend Berger to any one that needs dealer service. Thanks for all you did for me. Randall Toney More
Mark initially helped me with warranty work. Then I returned for the brake pads on my 2008 Acadia. For some reason, the car continued to grid after the replacement but Mark kept saying bring it back u returned for the brake pads on my 2008 Acadia. For some reason, the car continued to grid after the replacement but Mark kept saying bring it back until we get it right. Well, I did and Mark made it right. Berger ended up not only replacing the brake pads but finally the rotors. Since I had to return several times, they did not charge me for the rotors. Thank You! I really enjoy working with Mark because he never made me feel bad about calling him when it was not done right. He offered a rental car to make sure that I had transportation and at one point offered to pick the car up at my home. I would highly recommend working with him and appreciate the commitment he has to the job. Thanks Berger and Thanks Mark! More
