My salesman Duane helped me with what we thought I was going to purchase - a used car and then later when I found out I still had a GM discount he had a comparison ready to go for me when I came back in with a new vehicle even though he is a used car salesman. He has since called me to check in on if I had any questions on my new car! Further more; I was there during the tornado warnings and the entire team was very upbeat and accommodating while we were sheltered in the basement! More

Used car purchase with many issues - no support from dealer. Tom, Following up with all of this. We have finally been able to "safely" drive the vehicle. Your explanation of the vehicle is "safe" was unfortunately not very true. I understand at this point you/Berger do not care that much about this.....as like you said vehicle was bought "as is". That you, in your expert opinion after driving it, have informed us in no uncertain terms, that, in your/Berger's words: "YOU HAVE BOTH SUGGESTED TO ME THAT YOUR MECHANIC NOTED CONCERNS WITH TRANSMISSION AND SUSPENSION. THESE REMAIN SUGGESTIONS. MY UNDERSTANDING MECHANIC HAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR TORN ANYTHING DOWN TO VERIFY HIS SUGGESTIONS. AT TIME OF DRIVE WITH CANDY I NOTICED NOTHING TO SUGGEST ANYTHING TO BE CONCERNED WITH. VEHICLE PERFORMED WELL WITH BOTH CONCERNS NOTED ABOVE. HAS BEEN NOTED BY BOTH YOU AND CANDY TRAVERSE WAS PURCHASED AS IS. IMPLIES EXPLICITLY ONCE SIGNED FOR YOU ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRAVERSE FROM THAT TIME ON. PRIOR TO SALE OF TRAVERSE BERGER VERIFIED AND DOCUMENTED VEHICLE WAS SAFE AND DRIVEABLE. SAME WAS VERIFIED WHEN VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN." Having said that, when we were able to get the Traverse to the shop, they found the vehicle was three quarts low on oil. They put 3 quarts in, drove it a few times, check engine light went off and has not been on since. They did a full oil change on it, checked for leaks and found none, and advised us to let them know how it did after driving it for a few days. They verified that the OnStar system is not working at all. Bluetooth on the vehicle has not worked at all from day one and we assumed that this vehicle did not have it. I am guessing it does have bluetooth capability and it is all tied in. I did not have them troubleshoot further, just verified OnStar did not work. After driving for two weeks we have not had the check engine light come on. Telling me that prior to the sale " BERGER VERIFIED AND DOCUMENTED VEHICLE WAS SAFE AND DRIVE-ABLE" I guess does not include oil in the engine? Obviously checking oil is a very basic, simple endeavor - with your assurance and "BERGER VERIFIED AND DOCUMENTED VEHICLE WAS SAFE AND DRIVE-ABLE" it wasn't even on my radar that this would be an issues since this occurred as soon as we drove it off the lot and called you first thing the next day to voice our concerns - which happens to be the following weekend as you eluded to earlier. So I never checked the oil. As all we have done is change the oil, I can only assume this was the problem from the very first day, as we have not had any similar occurrences with the vehicle since. Who knew that being 3 quarts low would cause these types of issues. If you/Berger had taken the time to actually listen to our concerns and take us some what seriously, this might have been resolved somewhat amicably and a few quarts of oil could have been put in it. Instead you took the company line that it was bought as is, it is safe, and I should not be frustrated because it was bought as is and apparently it is "ok" that it was delivered to us 3 quarts low. That does not seem very safe.....but I am no expert. More

I felt like he and the team at Berger went above and beyond as they worked with me to solve the issue. I had the pleasure of having Wally as my salesman, and I don't think I couldn't have asked for anything more. He knew this was a big decision for me, and he helped guide me to the perfect car for me. He was polite, understanding, and above all; he cared. Soon after purchasing my vehicle, a little thing went wrong. He made sure that it was taken care of (free of charge, of course), and personally delivered my car back to me to pick up the rental. He's a gentleman that truly turns "customer service" into a real thing, rather than a buzzword. He told me when we were chatting that Berger is the best place he's worked at, and after having the pleasure of working with Berger, I can easily see that this is the truth. 5 stars... xxxx, 10 stars for Wally and the whole Berger team.
