DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE - RIPPED OFF MY ELDERLY MOTHER *****read my story before buying here***** So we were looking for a vehicle and the salesman (Ernest) at Bennetsville Honda texted me a price of M *****read my story before buying here***** So we were looking for a vehicle and the salesman (Ernest) at Bennetsville Honda texted me a price of MSRP minus $1,000. This was a little better than others prices we had received so we tell them we are coming, they start the paperwork and we get in the car to make the 110 mile drive from North Carolina. On the way there another dealership with the color we originally preferred texted us and said they had it. So we disappointingly tell Ernest thanks but we’ve decided to turn around and buy a different vehicle in North Carolina. BUT THEN — Bennetsville Honda gets back with us within 10 minutes and says they will give us another $1000 off if we don’t turn around buy their vehicle. We say OK — that’s a deal we can’t refuse. So my mother turns around and we head back. It’s past closing time and pouring rain. So we get in and thank them for giving us a good deal. By the time we go to sign papers it’s nearly 8:00pm and we have been on this journey for almost 4 hours. We are tired, sign quickly trusting that Bennettsville Honda is honest and go home. Well, when we get home we see that the dealership DID NOT take the original $1000 off or the second $1000 they promised for coming back. So the next day I call back and speak to a salesman/manager named Chris Sellers. He said he worked on the deal too and will look back at the sales slip/notes/paperwork and get back to us. So Chris calls back later that day and says he sees where they made a mistake and they will send my mother a check for difference because they want the customer to be happy with their purchase. She’s happy and thinks it is settled. Well a week passes by and she calls back — but she can’t get anyone to return her calls after calling 20-30 times. Finally, I tell her to call back with her number blocked so they can’t see who’s calling. This time she gets the general manager of Bennetsville Honda/Ford. She attempts to explain what happened but he rudely cuts her off over and over saying *we aren’t doing anything you signed the paper**. When my mother informs him that their employee (Chris Sellers) had already promised to make things right, he rudely says “I know but Chris Sellers doesn’t work here anymore”. After my mom explains how what they’re doing is wrong the manger says “well you are NOT getting anything back” and hangs up the phone on her. So I repeat — DO NOT buy a vehicle from Bennetsville Honda. They care nothing about the customer. Even when they know they are in the wrong — they will simply avoid you or hang up on you once they have your money. As my mom explained to the finance manager who claimed he didn’t remember anything about the deal days later (Jimmy Encino) — there’s a Christian way to handle things and they certainly aren’t living up to Christian principles at Bennetsville Honda. She said that because as we were signing the paperwork she saw a picture with a Bible verse on his desk…she even talked to him about his mother and how special mothers are. I just wish Bennetsville Honda could’ve treated my mother they way she deserved to be treated. Personally, I will never trust any business that could treat an elderly woman like that and I certainly would never do business with them. It speaks to the character with which a business is ran. I have a 2015 Honda CRV and only take my car to Honda Bennettville, I am very pleased and they keep me up on what needs to be done. I had a Honda Civic before my CRV and always used them to keep that car Bennettville, I am very pleased and they keep me up on what needs to be done. I had a Honda Civic before my CRV and always used them to keep that car serviced. They are always very cordial and polite and get the job done. Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. More

I appreciate the 30.000 mile service performed by Bennettsville Honda on 9/2/2021. I only interfaced with the service writer ,Tommy Burke. He was very professeional and attentive to my needs.
