I appreciate the work being done with my car, but the lack of communication to inform me when my car is ready (after dropping it off for maintenance) has not been consistent. Last week, I called asking on the status of my vehicle after being told in a prior call 3 hours before that it was almost done. Having not heard anything back, I decided to personally come to the dealership to inquire. At that point, the dealership was closing and had I arrived even 5 minutes later, I wouldn’t been able to pick up my car, which was important because I needed it to work that evening. I simply would have appreciated a call to inform me when my car was ready for pick up and updates along the way in a timely manner so it doesn’t disrupt other plans had for that day. More
Purchased 2013 Sequoia Platinum on 12/2022 for $24,333 from a Paij at your dealership. This vehicle was purchased for our small business. The blizzard white paint kept peeling and leaving paint chips a from a Paij at your dealership. This vehicle was purchased for our small business. The blizzard white paint kept peeling and leaving paint chips all over our driveway and garage. Now we have multiple spots peeling showing exposed metal and new areas bubbling up all across the whole top of the vehicle despite being garage kept. This was supposed to be a Toyota certified pre owned vehicle, now they won’t cover any repainting despite calling the dealer directly and Toyota corporate. Toyota knows this is an issue and started a ZKG support program which covers the repainting of certain white vehicles, particularly 2010-2018 Toyota Sequoia. The Toyota ZKG Support program expired July 2023, which would’ve covered this repaint under the support program. We were never made aware of this program despite purchasing the vehicle during the active program time. When bringing this up to the dealership, they said they’d look into it but the program expired and it is our fault we didn’t reach out sooner. I feel like some sort of disclosure would’ve been appropriate considering there was a recall for thousands if not millions of vehicles with this color paint and the peeling issue. The manager here, Noe, claimed he would look into it, offered to split the cost for repainting, but we never heard back for two months. We’d also have to drive 2 hours to drop it off for repainting since they won’t have Bennett Lehigh Valley do the painting. What is the point of buying a $25,000 vehicle from a Toyota dealer if the paint peels all over the roof exposing metal for rust shortly after buying it. Our 2003 Sequoia still has better paint than this. There is a painted spot that looks like it was hid with white paint to make the sale which is shown in the one photo attached. Extremely disappointed and hope this dealer will make better on this issue since we purchased it from them just over a year ago. What good is it buying from a “certified dealer” if they won’t stand behind their product and sales team, knowing this is an issue for all vehicles with this color paint during the model years 2010-2018 Sequoias. Glad we spent $25,000 on a vehicle with peeling paint that won’t be covered despite being only 10 years old. Will not be purchasing anything from this dealer again!! Complete lack of care for customer satisfaction and product quality. More
