We started our search for a replacement for one of our household vehicles yesterday, and our salesperson, Adrian, was good. He knew that we were just starting our search, allowed us to test drive a vehicl household vehicles yesterday, and our salesperson, Adrian, was good. He knew that we were just starting our search, allowed us to test drive a vehicle, and gave us information about product launches that might meet our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle of interest, tried to understand what we were looking for, and understood our time frame BEFORE pushing a sale. I don't know much about their service department or the rest of their sales staff/management, but we had a good experience with our salesperson. More
I agree with the other poster who mentioned the large drop in service quality with an increase in prices once moved to the new location. At the old location, we never had a problem, my corolla turned ov drop in service quality with an increase in prices once moved to the new location. At the old location, we never had a problem, my corolla turned over 20,000 miles just fine with not much work needed. After bringing it in for routine maintenance, problems started happening. Additional, unneeded services were done, such as "Customer said brakes seam soft" (they misspelled seem), and tacked on $100. My brakes were fine before and felt spongy and unresponsive after. Then the transmission was rattling wildly during colder temps, along with a belt squeal. Took it back in for service, $600 later everything seemed fine for about 3 weeks. Then they came back worse then ever before. The service, friendliness and quality has dropped at a frightening rate. I would never use this dealer again if my life depended on it. More
If you like the sterotypical sales experience, this is the dealership for you, but if you prefer a more sincere/laid back experience, shop else where. the dealership for you, but if you prefer a more sincere/laid back experience, shop else where. More
Since moving to their new dealership on Lehigh street in Allentown my Maintanence costs or suggested maintanence has increased 10 fold. I have been a long time customer of Bennetts, have always been happy w Allentown my Maintanence costs or suggested maintanence has increased 10 fold. I have been a long time customer of Bennetts, have always been happy with their service department and we own three Toyotas. The first service at the new location I was told my younger daughters car ( 2006 Rav4) needed brake fluid and transmission fluid changes. Then my other daughters car (2009 Corolla)went in for routine service,it needed brake fluid changed and the next time it needed a transmission fluid change. Just had mine in (2008 Rav4)for an Oil change and they told my wife the battery tested low and needed to be replaced. My daughter took her corolla in the very next day and Guess What ? She was told her battery tested low also and needed to be replaced, even though neither one of us had any problem starting our cars. I wonder how many brake fluid, transmission fluid and batteries they have sold since moving to the new location ? Seems like they are trying to pay for the new place and higher overhead costs by selling the customers services they don't need. They just lostat least three good Customers. More
I recently negotiated terms and pricing with Bennett Toyota for a new 2012 Toyota Sienna Limited. I found Sales Manager, Andy Stratz extremely friendly and accommodating to my requests, including a dil Toyota for a new 2012 Toyota Sienna Limited. I found Sales Manager, Andy Stratz extremely friendly and accommodating to my requests, including a diligent search for a specific vehicle that was not readily in stock. Andy called me numerous times to assure my satisfaction in his pricing and vehicle selection. The newly constructed dealership on Lehigh Street, Allentown is a beautiful showroom with a friendly and helpful staff, including one of their sales team associates, Joe Colon. I'd highly recommend this dealership for the initial purchase as well as the follow up service and parts. More

Talk about a rip off. I've been told 2 times already to come in at 7am because then I wouldn't have to wait that long for my car to be done. First time should have tipped me off when they told me my moo come in at 7am because then I wouldn't have to wait that long for my car to be done. First time should have tipped me off when they told me my moonroof wasn't closing properly - they didn't close it all the way. The oil change and PA inspection was $82.09 that seems reasonable. It took them an hour and 50 minutes to perform those actions. Today, the second and last time I will go there I needed my tires balanced and rotated. Usually takes about an hour and a half to perform (from other experiences at my other Toyota dealership I used to go to when I lived in Ohio (I'm originally from PA, went to Ohio for school, came back)). Cain Toyota in Canton, Ohio performed an oil change, balance and rotation of my wheels and changed my windshield wipers for $98.04 in an hour and 39 minutes. At Bennett Toyota in Allentown, PA they performed the rotation and balance of the wheels and "cut the front rotors" and asked me to get new rotors because there is a noise (there is actually no noise, I listened for this noise on the way home and there is nothing). These actions took them 2 hours and 11 minutes and they charged $290.72 ... JUST FOR A WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND TO CUT THE ROTOR?!?!?!?! Of course the majority of the bill was labor ($271.90). The parts ($2.36) and tax ($16.46) weren't terrible. The service woman (I think her name is Kathy is very nice, there is no problem with her). There is a problem with their billing system .. obviously. I will not allow them to get away with this, I need to cool down before I call them. But I know I will NOT be going back to this dealership for service. More
I would not recommend this dealership for 2 reasons. 1 - our salesman was not knowledgeable about the product at all. Granted he was new to the Toyota team...but sorry no excuse for not knowing the features our salesman was not knowledgeable about the product at all. Granted he was new to the Toyota team...but sorry no excuse for not knowing the features of the cars you are selling. For example, when I asked how many latch positions it had, he looked at me like "what is latch?". After I explained that latch is for baby seats, then he knew. After leaving that night and looking up some things online about the vehicle, I came up with about 10 more questions about features on the particular vehicle we were looking at -- questions that we didn't know because our salesman didn't explain any of them to us. Did that car have X? I don't know, he never pointed it out if it did. 2 - We felt in order for them to give us their lowest "quote" on the car we'd have to give in to their suggestion of leaving a $500 deposit and letting them know in 2 days whether or not we wanted the specific vehicle. If we decided we didn't want it, we'd get our money back, plain and simple we were told. As it turns out they cashed the check (even though we said we didn't want the car by the specified time) - and now we must wait about a week for them to cut us another check for our money. That just doesn't seem right to me. Buying a Honda was an easy choice and I'm glad we went that route. More
I had a bad experience at Dick Milhams and was very much on edge when coming to Bennett but as soon as my sales lady came over and started talking I felt a weight off my shoulders. She saw my print out quo on edge when coming to Bennett but as soon as my sales lady came over and started talking I felt a weight off my shoulders. She saw my print out quote of the vehicle I wanted a 09 Rav 4 (this was in Dec 08 so most dealer were pushing the end of there 08 stock on us and she was great and didn't do that). The car I wanted was like the basic lowest end model I could get. She had me test drive the closest car to what I wanted on the lot the only difference was this had the package that included cargo net, floor mats, mudd flapps and whatever else comes in that package which was an additional 1000 bucks add to the price i was quoted at and DO you know what she did she said "Im gonna take 1000 bucks off this MSRP since you weren't really interested in that package" so then the car was at my qoute and when we were sitting down talking about what I could afford she came back with another 1000 off the price so are you getting this I got 1000 package free and an additional 1000 bucks off the MSRP I was very satisfied. This resulted in me getting a monthly payment 25 bucks less than I had planned on paying and I only put down 3k instead of the original 4k I planned to put down. I was at the dealer with my father and he wanted me to look at a few other places so we ended up leaving and after the next dealer we were at I told my dad I really want the toyota so I called the sales lady up and told her she told me to stop by at 7 and she would have the paper work ready for me to sign and she did my car was ready and I was out in about an hour It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Also I did use there service dept the first year I had my car and it was great to they were very friendly and speedy. I would still keep using toyota service except I lost my job and can't afford the service depts at a dealer, but if that wasnt the case id sooo totally be goinging there still. More
