I explained my situation to him and he worked very hard to help me find a Toyota corolla s to fit my budget. After looking at a few of them, we came to an agreement on one. Chris goes the extra mile to help you, he even came in on his day off to help me. If you have a problem or a concern about something just ask him he'll do whatever he can to help you. I highly recommend him. More
Bennett says they care @the 3B's..what you get is 3Ds!!! Bennett Toyota Code of Business Conduct talks about the 3 B’s but it’s more like the 3D’s (Dishonesty Deceptive and Deceitful practices). On the Bennett Toyota Code of Business Conduct talks about the 3 B’s but it’s more like the 3D’s (Dishonesty Deceptive and Deceitful practices). On the Bennett Toyota Website they talk about the 3 B’s for the code of conducting business. Which includes: • Bring Honor and integrity to everything they do • Beat the customer expectation (Best Price, Best Service and Best Reputation.) • Benefit the Lehigh Valley Unfortunately the treatment we received was more like the 3 D’s: dishonesty, deceitfulness and deceptive practices!! In a nutshell... •(Dishonesty), we were lied to on numerous occasions and told one price which we agreed to but at the time of signing the contract it listed another price and payment. Their response: “we just couldn’t do it” “it was just too good of a deal”. We walked. •(Deceptive, Deceitful and Dishonest) We were jerked around about our refund for our $500 deposit. At first we were told they only hold, but in actuality the deposited it. Their response for 2 weeks: “finance people not available” “it takes 2 weeks”, and the “check’s in the mail”. 2 weeks later when I demanded answers the truth came out that our refund check was never mailed!!! We had to drive the 45 minutes to pick it up. Even then they tried to get us to accept the same crappy deal…We walked. •(Deceptive) The let’s make a deal song and dance was deceitful in that they “lower your monthly rate” by decreasing the interest rate and increasing your term all to get you to your payment. •(Deceptive, Deceitful and Dishonesty all wrapped into one!) We were pursued for over a month by Bennett Toyota. When we finally negotiated a price, applied for the loan, prepped our vehicle for the transfer, obtained the new insurance cards, and removed the electrical wiring for our camper we were told the evening before pickup that the Bennett Toyota Sales Manager sold the vehicle out from under us due to “fiscal reasons”. I can go into the long sordid details, but the facts are this. We didn’t need a car …meaning our situation wasn’t dire. We had the ability to walk away, which we did on numerous occasions. Again, we were pursued by Bennett for over a month while the car sat on the lot with no one looking at it. I will give props to our sales rep as they really tried to get the deal done. They were truly great and were also stuck in the middle of this mayhem. So, we went against our better judgement and our gut instincts, despite everything that happened and finally decided to give Bennett one last try. Honestly, it was because the offer we negotiated was too good to refuse. We thought…It couldn’t get any worse, right?? Boy were we wrong!!! We made an agreement both verbally and in writing (I’ve got the emails) with our sales rep that we would accept the current terms and made arrangements to pick up the car that Friday. Shame on us for trusting Bennett again!! Here’s where it gets worse…the Sales Manager decided to sell the car out from under us the day before we were supposed to pick it up despite the sales rep telling him we were all set for pickup/delivery. Does this sound like Bennett Toyota brings honor and integrity to every sale? I think not! Did Bennett Toyota beat the customer expectations with the Best Price, Best Service and Best Reputation? Absolutely not!!! Although they did far exceed our lowest expectations!! Did this sale benefit the Lehigh Valley? Perhaps, but the car was actually sold to someone in Massachusetts. The only positive outcome to this is we demanded and received a refund for our reconnection of the wiring for the hitch electrical system. That’s why this post is a bit delayed; we wanted to make sure the check was truly in the mail. Morale of the story…. Bennett Toyota doesn’t care about the 3B’s, but you better watch out for their 3D’s of business practice. They truly epitomize what a sleazy car dealership is all about. **Bennett Toyota-feel free to verify and ask around; you will see I am telling the truth. The vehicle in question was a 2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited and this transaction occurred from March/April 2014. You want to make it right, change your policies and get all the facts, please give me a call.** When we finally came to a deal the Sales Manager decided to sell the vehicle out from under us without the sales person’s knowledge and knowing that we would be in the next day to pick it up. I was told it was due to financial reasons but they should have thought of that before contacting us for the 3rd time after the car had sat on the lot for a 1.5 months. While we are no longer interested in the vehicle we are interested Th facts are a bit long as the neogitations went on for over a month, but I will try and be brief. On Saturday we went for a called to schedule a test drive and the woman stated that someone else had an appt for late in the day but if we came in early we could test drive it. This should have been my first clue of how our transaction would proceed. As I told her I didn’t want to take the car away from someone who is scheduled to drive it. There was no driver!! Dishonesty #1 We test drove the vehicle and did the song and dance with the salesperson and we couldn’t come to an agreement on the price so we said our goodbyes. As we were walking out the salesman came to us and said the Sales Mgr could get us the $400 and we told him we would think about it and let him know by th end of the day. We called and said we would accept the ofer and would be up on Tuesday to sign the deal. I say they were dishonest b/c during the negotiations they told us they could get our vehicle for $400 a month and we told them we would accept that and went in to sign the paperwork. On _____ we came in to sign the paperwork and gave them a $500 deposit, upon which time we were notified that they could no longer offer us the $400 a month. We were upset but decided to The negotiations went back and forth but my husband and I asked for our deposit back. We were told that we needed to wait until the check cleared and then we could get our check. We waited and we waited. We called and were told by numerous people that the check was in the mail. Two weeks later and still no check so I called on Friday _____ and demanded to know the check # and the date it was written. Turns out it was never mailed!!!! Had to drive an hour to pick up our check! Long story short, were contacted by the saleman on serveral occasions to bring our business back, but we told them that in order to earn our business they had to earn our respect and trust! Over a period of 2 weeks, on _________we finally negotiated on a price and told the salesman So now do we not only not have a new vehicle we will have to pay to have the electrical connection reinstalled so we can pick up our camper at the end of the month and we have an open loan on our credit report. While I understand that th damage is done and we no longer wish to ever do business with Bennett we hope you do the right thing and fix the mistakes that your employees made against us. I understand that it’s just business and it’s not personal, but this is the epitomy of sleazy car salesmen and I’m sure if the Bennett family knew about this they would be appalled. I will make it my mission to use social media and the local media to let the Bennett family know More
