We were extremely disappointed this morning when we arrived at the car dealership to learn they would not honor the price they quoted us months ago on the car we put a down payment on to reserve. We shopped around for weeks to find this car, we drove up to Allentown because that was the closest in the area that could secure the car that had almost all the options that we wanted. We waited patiently and we’re very excited to learn the car was delivered yesterday. Unfortunately, when we arrived today and reviewed the paperwork, we noticed a price difference and were told that the original price they gave us did not include the SmartShield warranty $895. After reviewing the paperwork we were originally given when we reserved the car with a down payment, which clearly shows it as an included line item, it was concluded that the sales guy made a mistake and should have crossed out the line item that described the warranty because he subtracted it from the price he quoted us. I understand this is an honest mistake but why should I be responsible for the $895 when it was their mistake. The finance guy, went to talk to the GM, who did not bother to come speak with us. The finance guy returned to tell us his GM would not accept responsibility for the error of his sales person. For anyone in the car market or if you’ve purchased a car recently, you understand that the dealers have the upper hand. If we walked away, we would have waited at least another 3-6 months for a car to be delivered, if we could even find another one to reserve. The dealer would have easily sold the car within a week and would probably have made more money. I understand car dealers have the upper hand these days and I’m willing to pay more as supply is low vs demand. However, I do expect to be treated fair and deal with honest people. In this case, we absolutely felt taken advantage of. The finance guy and salesman were very nice. Salesman made an honest mistake, which I completely understand. It was identified by the finance guy who then had to bring it to the GM to fix it. The general manager should be ashamed. At least come explain your rationale to us instead of sending your finance guy in to deal with it. That was cowardly and a poor professional business decision. I would recommend you shop elsewhere for your next car/Toyota. Although we love the car, the experience felt like we were dealing with sleazy individuals who were trying to take advantage of us. More

I went to Bennett Toyota as a last ditch effort to get into a vehicle. I meet Manoj who from first greeting made me feel super comfortable. The whole process was great from start to finish. Limited selection but still found my perfect vehicle. I was In and out in 3 hours and the sales person was amazing. He was Charismatic, helpful, and knowledgeable.
