They misrepresented the vehicle I purchased. I was under the perception that the pick up has features that it does not per se have. I was led to believe that it would have the feature of low 4wD I was under the perception that the pick up has features that it does not per se have. I was led to believe that it would have the feature of low 4wD and that it was a matter of finding out how to manipulate the computer system to make that happen. The truck I purchased does not have those capabilities as such. However, after doing my own research, I decided to keep the truck. My frustration is that the dealership misrepresented the vehicle. I am not sure whether this was on purpose or not on purpose. I originally thought it was not on purpose. However, they had the vehicle for a long time, so maybe they just wanted it off their inventory? So the salesman said he would do research and I stated I would do research as well. Upon arriving home, within 20 minutes, I realized the truck does not have 4 wheel drive low. I texted the salesman and offered to bring the vehicle back and drop the key fobs in the drop box. Or we could each do more research to see if there is a solution to the issue. I asked that the deal be in limbo until a solution was found or resolved. By that, I assumed that my down payment would not be processed nor my application for financing. Communication between both parties was strained for the next seven days. I finally spoke to the salesman. I stated that I would keep the vehicle. However, I wanted to finance it through a lender I preferred. In the closing, the financial person told me that as this was the first day of the month that the interest rates I was quoted from the lending institute were not valid and that there was no difference in the two companies lending rates. That seems to me to have been false information. The lender to whom I spoke with previous to the purchase, followed up on my purchase status. This person quoted the same rates which were 1 % lower. Thinking my deal was still in limbo, and the vehicle was parked in my driveway for the week, I called and verified that I would purchase the vehicle, however, I wanted to finance through my preferred company. The dealership charged twice as much as my preferred lending institute as a processing fee. I was then told the deal that I thought was in limbo, had actually been processed. Now I am spending a lot of time to get the financing moved to my preferred lender. I am extremely upset that the dealer did not honor my wishes to have deal in limbo. As aforementioned, 5he vehicle was parked and not driven as I did not have insurance due to not knowing if I wanted to keep the vehicle. The other part of this equation is that this vehicle is replacing essentially the 2011 of the same model, color etc.. GM certainly in my opinion did not do upgrades. The instrument panel, which I was led to believe could be changed to match the appearance of the 2011 instrument panel is incorrect. Instead, I get to view my speed on a digital reading that I thought went away with the Chevy Lumina. The center console in my opinion is not an upgrade. The lack of a rear seat arm rest and cup Ho,Dre’s is not an upgrade. Steel wheels as opposed to alloy wheels are not an upgrade. I question how long the electronics will last. I question if I will be able to afford to trade this vehicle for a newer on while the electronics are under warranty. I should have done more research on all brands of pick up trucks. I am very satisfied with my 2011 and want to continue to drive it. I thought it was time to make a purchase for a vehicle that is newer and fewer miles. This has been a very expensive and frustrating experience. Part of my frustration is from the way the dealership chose to handle this situation and part of my frustration is from GM’s newer design.
