We purchased a vehicle from the sales department (unrelated to the quality of the service dept) which we shortly realized they had sold us a vehicle with a major defect that wasn’t caught during a p (unrelated to the quality of the service dept) which we shortly realized they had sold us a vehicle with a major defect that wasn’t caught during a presale inspection. We had to fight tooth and nail to get the dealership to take ownership for not catching the major problem. When we did finally get it into their service department, they had our vehicle for around 40 days, at that point, they had had possession of the vehicle longer than we had since the purchase date. It was an extensive job, so I can’t blame them for a lengthy repair time, BUT the lack of communication and updates was very frustrating. I would try to call to check in every few days and would rarely get a call back. Quite often I had to call the sales department to transfer me to service because they wouldn’t answer their phones if I called the service department directly. Overall extremely unimpressed with our entire experience with Bellingham Nissan. The one redeeming quality was that our service advisor was at least polite and apologetic about the wait. More
On my last visit for a drive belt and tire rotation on my Infiniti, the service could not have been better! The dealership had my son’s Nissan convertible for over three months and ultimately didn’t fix it. They got it apart, and then told us they couldn’t find the parts to fix it. Throughout this time, the tech three months and ultimately didn’t fix it. They got it apart, and then told us they couldn’t find the parts to fix it. Throughout this time, the tech assigned to our car said he tried to get ahold of me, but my phone was disconnected, which was a flat out lie, and when I called and left messages for him, I got no response. Eventually, another person took over as our tech when the other one “no longer worked there.” That was when we found out they couldn’t complete the work. They “gave us a break on the labor” since the car was there for so long and wasn’t fixed. But, we still paid almost $400 for diagnostics. In addition, they apparently left the car outside, uncovered most of that time, which damaged the paint! We won’t be going back there! More
