Beware of this dealership and specifically Alfredo. He makes promises to get you into the store then adds all type of fees to the purchase price. I drove 150 miles round trip to buy a car on his promise t makes promises to get you into the store then adds all type of fees to the purchase price. I drove 150 miles round trip to buy a car on his promise to match my car max offer and to sell me a car at MSRP. When I arrived he offered 2000 less and raise the price of the car 5000 over MSRP. This would have been my 2nd purchase from belle glade. More
I'll preface this by saying I carefully read their available disclosures on their website before initiating any contact with this dealership. I was interested in a 2012 Forester that was listed for a available disclosures on their website before initiating any contact with this dealership. I was interested in a 2012 Forester that was listed for about $11k on their website. I called and checked availability and confirmed price before driving almost 2 hours on a Wednesday afternoon. I test drove the car and I was told I could put down a $500 deposit to hold the car until I could return another day. I would like to make clear that their website says they do not accept deposits to reserve vehicles, but my experience proved that this dealership regularly violates its own policies as well as Florida state law. I paid the deposit and said I would return early the following week. I was going to take a few days to explore financing options, but in order to do so I needed the price out the door. I called Thursday morning and was promised a call back; I didn't get a call back so I called again that afternoon and spoke to my salesman, who told me I could expect the car to cost about $13k out the door by his estimate. He told me he couldn't send me anything in writing, but that he would speak to his manager and call me back first thing the next day. I called Friday afternoon, after not hearing anything, and asked to speak to someone in the finance office. I spoke to Joe, explained that I wanted the price out the door, and he said he'd crunch the numbers and call back in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes passed I called back, and Joe told me that after taxes, tag, title, and a $700 dealer fee the car would be around $30,600 out the door. I asked if he could send me a buyers order, to which he replied that I'd have to ask someone in sales. I called again after I got off work on Friday and asked to speak to a sales manager, and I was transferred to Alfredo. I explained that I wanted a buyers order and again asked to confirm the price out the door. Alfredo said he'd call me back in a half hour because he was too busy with customers in the showroom to speak to me at the moment. An hour went by with no call back, so I called again; the receptionist tried to tell me he would call me back, but by this point I knew the game and I told her that they had already taken my money and that I would rather wait on hold. After a few minutes Alfredo came on the line and basically told me that instead of the $13k-$13.6k that I had been previously quoted, the car would now cost nearly $16,000! I was flabbergasted and asked how he came by that number, and that's when I learned about the "Plattner Service Package." The "Plattner Service Package" is a NON-OPTIONAL $3000 package that includes paint sealer, Scotch-guard, and 3 years of vehicle maintenance. Alfredo described it as an "accessory package," and that it comes pre-installed on all their vehicles. I told him that their website clearly lists the types of accessories for which they are allowed to charge extra, and none of the items he describes as part of the package come anywhere close to being an accessory. At this point Alfredo was practically laughing at me; I told him that I wanted to speak to his manager, and he said his manager was Don, the man who had taken my deposit days before, and that he wasn't available. I told Alfredo I wanted my number left for Don to call me back first thing the next day. When I finally spoke to Don Monday afternoon, he was extremely smug and rude. I told him that all non-optional fees, including service packages and pre-installed accessories, had to be included in the vehicle price according to Florida law. He told me, verbatim, "I don't tell you how to do your job, you don't tell me how to do mine." I told him I wanted a refund of my deposit, and he smugly told me it was nonrefundable. I told him he could deal with my bank and hung up. An hour later I got a call from my salesman; instead of calling me himself, Don had the salesman call me to offer a refund of my deposit. At least I got my money back, but this was an awful experience. I shouldn't have to chase down info on a car I've already put money on! Their website also said (in those disclosures I mentioned reading first thing) that they apply a $750 financing credit and $750 trade-in credit to all vehicles priced over $15k. The price my salesman initially quoted me included those rebates and when I told him I wasn't trading in he told me about those rebates, and I had to be the one to tell him that since the vehicle was listed at only $11k those rebates shouldn't be included in the list price. They have since changed that policy; it now applies to vehicles listed at $10k or more, instead of $15k. They also change the advertised prices of the vehicles on an almost daily basis! Super shady and untrustworthy. Stay away! More
I wish I could mark ZERO stars. Do not buy your vehicle from here!! They may seem like they offer the best price, but what they don’t tell you is they also tack on a $3000 “Vehicle Protection Plan” to your from here!! They may seem like they offer the best price, but what they don’t tell you is they also tack on a $3000 “Vehicle Protection Plan” to your agreed upon sales price then try to pass it off as taxes and fees. Look very closely at your itemized list of charges before signing and don’t get screwed like we did. We realized this too late and when we called to complain, our sales associate, Dalton admitted he failed to disclose this and then transferred us to the GM Don who very rudely said “too bad you should have read over your documents more carefully.” Sneaky Sneaky. Worse place to buy a car. I was approved with an interest rate of 5% pretty good and this guys were trying to make the monthly profit with my purchase. A used truck that was listed for 28k end up being about rate of 5% pretty good and this guys were trying to make the monthly profit with my purchase. A used truck that was listed for 28k end up being about 45k . This people were trying to make about 9k on top of the hole amount I was suppose to finance with dealer fees and interest included . Even the sales person told me when I was leaving that the manager told him bussines was only about the profit , I understand that, but that’s just a rip off , they asked me for 7k down when my credit score was above 710. The general manager is the one making this decisions, also when I asked how much to buy cash they said 38k for a truck listed for 28k. I feel bad for the sales man cause the poor guy didn’t even know what to come up with anymore, I showed him the math and he knew it was a rip off. No wonder why place it’s always empty. More
