Went expecting another irritating salesman, I was wrong!!! I was helping my girlfriend buy a used car for her daughter. During my search for a used car, I ended up meeting Scott Kemp at Carr Nissan. Scott helped us find the right car that fit our budget and would be reliable for years to come. Scott worked diligently for weeks to help us find the right car, because we were willing to wait, and he was willing to help us out. Eventually he found us the perfect Mazda 3 that was in excellent shape! We were able to buy my girlfriends daughter a car and we ended up spending less than we originally thought we would need to! Scott Kemp is probably the best car salesman I have purchased a used car from. I am seriously impressed by how good he is at what he does! More

I've never known anyone to buy a car through the internet department before. I always just walked onto the lot and bought my cars....and by the way I hated every minute of it. Shopping for cars is the worst. Or at least I thought it was. So my sister emailed Carr Nissan about a car and I can't remember if she asked for Scott specifically or if she said she will from now on, but it was such a fun and easy process that when I need my next car I will be driving from Utah back to Portland and will be buying my car from Scott Kemp at Carr Nissan. She told him she just wanted a smaller used SUV, wanted to spend around $20,000 and he had at least seven options for her and she loved them all lol. She said she wanted to go home and sleep on it because she didn't know for sure which one she liked the best and get this, he didn't for one second pressure her to make a decision right then and there or go get someone else to talk to her or anything like that he literally said this, "You know what, I totally understand, it's a big decision, it's a lot of money. Go home and think about it and let me know if you need any more information in between now and tomorrow and we'll talk then." We got home and were blown away. We, like most people, have had terrible experiences buying cars and being taken advantage of. My opinion of what it SHOULD be like to buy a car now has the bar set so high off the charts that I can't imagine anyone would ever make it so fun, and easy, and low pressure actually NO pressure, that I'll be buying my cars from Scott until he stops selling cars. He said he was a Physical Therapist with the elderly just a year or two ago for years and years and you can see that because he's so nice and caring. I can't imagine he'll be selling cars forever, but I hope he does. He said he feels like he gets to help people in a different way now and he's so right. Buying a car is such a big deal and such a bad experience for so many people that just reading the online reviews about him you can really see that he is making a difference outside of the hospital too. If you want an easy, awesome experience then just email Carr Nissan and ask for Scott and he'll have a bunch of cars for you ready to go and he truly doesn't care if you buy one or not, he just wants people to get happy and get a car if they find one they love and it makes sense for them. The manager Clint was super nice, he introduced us to some people in the service department and they even remembered our names when we left, and Jonathan was our finance person and he was really sweet also. My sister should really be writing this review I suppose, but I went through the whole experience with her so I saw first hand what it was like and it really was amazing and I'll be happy to come visit my family in Oregon next summer when I'm ready to buy a car and will only be asking for Scott because I can't imagine buying a car could ever be like this from someone else, and for that matter at any other dealership. I have bought cars from at least ten dealerships and I have never met such nice people in the car business before. I just really felt compelled to tell the people in the Portland area about my experience at Carr Nissan and what it was like to buy a car through the internet department and what a difference one person could make in the process. Meeting Scott was like catching-up with a friend at a class reunion. I knew what I wanted and after some easy negotiating, with Scott as my advocate, I have a Murano that makes me smile whenever I see it. Scott is so much more than a sales guy, he's there to provide advice and willing to research things for you without hesitation--- and he is still providing me with that outstanding professional customer service; this treatment is the reason I will be driving back to Carr in the future. He said he was a physical therapist before this which makes a ton of sense because he's just about the nicest funnest most honest car sales man I've ever met ! My wife even wanted to set him up with our daughter. I just said wow honey lets not go crazy lol. Scott was knowledgeable, upfront and honest about everything and is evrryyhing that the other reviewers and my few friends have said that he is. A closer (Clint) came out at the end but he was also nice and it was more to explain the amount of our trade in to my wife who thought it was worth some ridiculous amount lol. Clint was kind and respectful. Still in shock there could even be one bad review about this place !? Thanks to Scott and the rest of the staff at Carr Nissan we will only be buying cars from Scott going forward and dont worry if Nissan isnt your favorite he'll bring you to their Subaru and Chevy lots too. Car shopping is the worst! So trust me and make it a little more tolerable by asking for Scott and in about 90 seconds youll understand why.
