Absolutely horrible experience trying to turn in a lease. My lease is up in two months, and I had decided not to buy my car at the end of the lease. I ended up shopping around for other cars, and decided My lease is up in two months, and I had decided not to buy my car at the end of the lease. I ended up shopping around for other cars, and decided to go with a VW that I liked. Unfortunately, just after purchasing the new car, the driver side window of my Kia was smashed (as I'm sure you all know, is unfortunately very common in the Portland area). Since I was already planning to turn in the lease, I figured I might as well turn it in that day, rather than dropping it off to be serviced and then turning it in after the window was fixed. Several of my friends have leased cars and worked at dealerships, and told me that turning in a lease takes 5-10 minutes, so I thought it would be a fast and easy process. Boy was I wrong! My best friend went with me so that I would have a ride after dropping off the car. As soon as we arrived, one of their salesmen, Carlos I believe, came out to offer assistance. When we said we were turning in the lease with the broken window, he told me that I would be liable for the car on their lot until Kia sent someone out to inspect the car if it rained and the interior got damaged, or if someone came onto their lot and caused more damage to the car. Not a big deal, I think, it's not forecasted to rain this week. Upon asking how long it would be before Kia could send someone out, Carlos shrugged and asked when my lease was up, then implied it could be 1-2 months. Baffled, my friend and I went to sit inside the dealership while Carlos did a walkaround on the car. After he came inside, he proceeded to be EXTREMELY condescending to my friend and I. He told me that Kia would "charge me however much they want" for the door dings, windshield cracks and broken window (not true, they have itemized prices on their website for these things), that I should file an insurance claim (to which I responded my insurance would not cover the window), tried to explain to me that you have to bring a lease back in near perfect condition to not be charged (to which I replied that I know how a lease works) and suggested that I "talk to family and friends" about what I should do. This comment really pissed me off, as first of all, I already had a friend there with me, and second of all, I feel that Carlos only made that comment because we were both women. I am sure that had my boyfriend been with me, Carlos would not have said that. Furthermore, when I first signed my lease, I purchased excess wear and tear protection that should cover the majority of the minor damages on the car, which I explained to Carlos and he shrugged it off. We multiple times asked to speak to a manager, as we were obviously not communicating well with Carlos, and at one point he told us "my manager is right over there at the desk, you go speak to him yourself" which was incredibly poor customer service and only frustrated us further. Finally we decided we would leave and turn the car in at a different dealership, as we were beyond angry and were sick of being treated SO poorly. As we were leaving, a manager, Jonathan, came over to speak to us. He was less condescending, but not at all apologetic and kept saying they were "not trying to wind us up". Suffice to say, we walked out. I now plan to simply turn in the car at a different Kia dealership. I also called Kia Financial Services just now, and they confirmed that 1. I will not be liable for the car once I had over the keys at a dealership and let Kia Financial Services know I have done so, and that 2. my excess wear and tear protection should cover most if not all of the damages on the car. I should also say I was incredibly relieved to speak to an intelligent and kind woman when I called Kia Financial, rather than another man who spoke down to me. I was incredibly disappointed to have had such a horrible experience, and was also relieved to have decided not to purchase another Kia, and not give Beaverton Kia another cent of my money. More
We had the pleasure of working with Big John as our sales representative. He opened the door to the purchase of our beloved Kia EV6. Big John kept us informed as we waited for our EV to arrive. His kind pati representative. He opened the door to the purchase of our beloved Kia EV6. Big John kept us informed as we waited for our EV to arrive. His kind patience with our many questions was appreciated. We look forward to connecting with him when we go in for maintenance. Buying a car in this market has been a challenge. Thanks, Big John, for your assistance. More
Atrocious treatment of a potential customer. The amount of chicanery that was visited upon us should be illegal. First off, they were attempting to upsell us with several 'packages' that were not initially included, which totaled over $7,500.00. None of these packages were integral to the safe operation of the car. We had a loan through our credit union - the 'salesperson' said he needed our social security number to run our credit. Hmmm...There would be NO reason to run our credit because WE ALREADY HAD THE AUTO LOAN (and proof of said loan) FROM OUR CREDIT UNION. I will NEVER go here again, nor will I ever suggest to anyone to purchase an auto from Beaverton Kia. More
Worst experience I've ever had with regards to the service department. Took my car in on may 3rd and its june 7th just for a small issue with the heater and it took them 2 weeks just to even look at i service department. Took my car in on may 3rd and its june 7th just for a small issue with the heater and it took them 2 weeks just to even look at it and for the last 2 weeks i keep getting told that the part will be in tomorrow and be done early next week and still nothing. I will never be coming back to this dealership ever again they are clear not capable of fixing anything on time and have terrible communication, F*** y** Kia 🤬🤬🤬 More
Talked to a salesperson for a few days and got in writing that they would have a specific car (model, trim package, and color) within two weeks. Only after driving out there, having a financial discussion, a that they would have a specific car (model, trim package, and color) within two weeks. Only after driving out there, having a financial discussion, and writing a check, did they reveal that they don't have that car at all. They had filled out all the paperwork for a completely different car. Total bait and switch. Don't waste your time here. More
An honest service manager, had a safety recall that the other kia dealership would not fix, brought it to kia of beaverton, and they did the right thing other kia dealership would not fix, brought it to kia of beaverton, and they did the right thing More
After 19 years with my Pontiac VIBE AWD, I made the jump to buy a new car. It was between a Honda HRV or a KIA Seltos. I initially emailed the Beaveton KIA Dealership to ask a few questions and a nice sale to buy a new car. It was between a Honda HRV or a KIA Seltos. I initially emailed the Beaveton KIA Dealership to ask a few questions and a nice salesperson, Sam Bongiorno, instantly replied to my email with detailed answers to my quesitons. For several weeks, I continued emails with Sam and finally went in for a test drive. Sam gave me the choice of test driving alone or going in the car with me. I said "Please go in the car with me and show me the features" of which he did. This was priceless since Sam understood winter condition driving and showed me the special features to use or NOT to use in Winter. Because this was a 2021 model, I wanted to wait until the 2022 Models came out since there were some lighting features I wanted. I waited several months and during this time, Sam never bothered me (unlike the Honda delaership in Hillsboro). One day I emailed Sam and said, I decided I would like the Seltos Turbo instead of the SX model. He said "we just got one in for tomorrow" and so that was how I bought the car the very next day. But wait, THERE IS MORE. Two weeks later, while driving my new 2022 KIA Seltos in eastern Oregon on an outing, two deers ran across the road and one of them ran into my new car. That a terrible experience. My car was damaged as well as the poor deer dying in the middle of the road. Not knowing what to do, I immediately called SAM (my salesman) on the phone. He said take pictures, text him them and he would find a body shop appt for me. He took great care of me not just during the buying process but continued to help me while the car was in the Body Shop for months due to delayed parts. KUDOS to Sam Bongiorno, great salesperson at Beaverton KIA. More
Sold me a car without having a title for it, over 3 months later it was totalled. Then they lied to manufacture an Oregon title because they could not get one legally without a vin inspection. They sai months later it was totalled. Then they lied to manufacture an Oregon title because they could not get one legally without a vin inspection. They said they had the vin inspection on Nov 8th 2021 which is odd considering I had the car in my possession since July. They messed up then lied and cheated and they need to be held accountable. All I did was try and buy a car, they should not have sold it without a title its against the law. Watch out they will get as kinky and deceitful as they feel they need to in order to screw over a customer that offered them his business and they spit in my face with lies. Don't trust them they don't care about the consumer. Only their bottom line, not what's right or wrong. Chris More
