I've taken my '18 4Runner into this dealership twice for routine maintenance and oil change. Needless to say, both times after telling them to do what routine work needs to be done, I go home and search my routine maintenance and oil change. Needless to say, both times after telling them to do what routine work needs to be done, I go home and search my VIN on their website only to find them saying "customer declined services" on things that are actually listed in the service guide for these vehicles. (things like front/rear diff service, 4WD service, transfer case service, etc.) They simply do not mention me needing these things done, but will quickly add to my vehicle's service record stating I "declined" the services. Today they got me to spend over $550 on unnecessary (as in, not recommended at all in the scheduled maintenance guide) services, didn't mention anything else that needed to be done. Come home, search my VIN, there are FOUR actually needed services they said I declined. They literally told me I needed my AC flushed and cleaned out due to mildew/bacteria, and this was marked as "requires immediate attention" in their inspection. My AC and heat have worked 100%. I have less than 50k miles on this car. The car still had that "new car smell", now it smells like chemicals because I was dumb enough to buy into this dealership's xx. The only positive is the service guy was nice, probably because he saw me for the sucker I am and figured he'd make the dealership an extra buck while neglecting actual routine maintenance that is recommended by Toyota. Will be taking my vehicle elsewhere in the future. More
