Dealing with St. Augustine Toyota for the purchase of my 2010 Sequoia was a five star experience from start to finish. Both David Wooley and Mike Banks were a pleasure to deal with. I was allowed a great 2010 Sequoia was a five star experience from start to finish. Both David Wooley and Mike Banks were a pleasure to deal with. I was allowed a great trade in price on my 2006 4Runner, and given the best price on the Sequoia as compared to two other dealers. Moreover, St. Augustine Toyota was able to negotiate with me online. I'd definitely recommend this dealership. The overall experience made buying a new car easy. The dealership's customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. More
Recently we bought a 2010 Toyota Camry at St. Augustine Toyota by trading our 1999 Honda Civic LX. What Toyota gives in the form of up to $4000 rebate with zero percent financing is not without its cleverl Toyota by trading our 1999 Honda Civic LX. What Toyota gives in the form of up to $4000 rebate with zero percent financing is not without its cleverly disguised "markups". Everything is clearly spelled out on the window MSRP sticker except "ADM" for $1995. Beware!!! ADM stands for ADDITIONAL DEALER MARK-UP. So What Toyota gives with the right hand as a rebate it takes half of it away with the left hand in the form of ADM!!! Unbeknown to us the 2010 Camry had an odometer reading of 170 miles. Also, the financial figures on the bill of sale were different from those agreed to in the negotiations (off by $212!!!); We did not have the Title to our Honda Civic LX with us. On the proviso that we would bring the Honda Civic Title we were able to drove the Camry off the lot. The next day when we complained to the Sales Person about our dissatisfaction with the deal he agreed that we could cancel the deal and let us return the car and we could take back our Honda Civic. Next day however, the Sales & Finance Manager both refused to let us return the car by insisting that the "Honda Civic" without the Title was already off the lot to an Auction site. They agreed to "correct the figures" however by $212. The Customer Service even tried to make it up to us with a goodwill gesture of about $150 but we truly feel we were taken for a ride by St. Augustine Toyota. The question we keep asking ourselves is "when is the Toyota Company going to learn its lesson"? If one examines the history of the Toyota Company, its enormous success eventually turned into arrogance which in turn led to a failure of their manufacturing prowess leading to its present morass of lawsuits, massive recalls & what appears to be a sure downfall from "THE BEST OF BREED"? Will it recover if it continues with its "not so kosher" current business practices or will it eventually go the way of companies like Chrysler? Only Time Will Tell!!! More
Bought an 08 truck, 3rd purchase from this dealership. Felt like it was a "one night stand". No customer follow up. No offer to detail or remove the 5 stickers on windshield. Salesman complained that my Felt like it was a "one night stand". No customer follow up. No offer to detail or remove the 5 stickers on windshield. Salesman complained that my trade was "worn" (he's the one that wanted to appraise it). When trying to negotiate, the salesman said it didn't matter to him, because he had to split the commission with another sales person. More
We bought a Toyota Solara 5years ago from St. Augustine (Different owner of dealership) Car has always been maintained by them so it can be certified. Went to buy a new Camry last Friday (4/23/2010), exp (Different owner of dealership) Car has always been maintained by them so it can be certified. Went to buy a new Camry last Friday (4/23/2010), expecting to be treated "Royally" as a returning Toyota owner, and all the problems Toyota has had !!! BOY, WAS I MISTAKEN Can you believe they wanted Full MSRP at first, until I said I have NEVER paid full retail in 50 years of buying cars. They wanted $8000 down (my trade in) plus $249 a month for a 3year lease, when I objected and left, another manager(Brian)came out into the car lot with a lease payment 0f $112 a month plus my trade in. TOO late I went across the road and bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. What courtesy, what service, great price up front. GOODBYE TOYOTA More
I received a price quote from St. Augustine Toyota for an Avalon with the options I wanted thru ebay. I went to the dealer with the quote to see if they would honor it. Of course not. They wanted $3000 more Avalon with the options I wanted thru ebay. I went to the dealer with the quote to see if they would honor it. Of course not. They wanted $3000 more than the quote and they made me wait for an hour while they "ran the numbers". Wasted my time. Thank you for the poor service St. Augustine Toyota because I then went across the street to the Hyundai dealer and purchased the Genesis, a much superior vehicle to the Avalon, for $1200 more than you wanted for the Avalon. Also, St. Augustine Hyundai's price for the Genesis was less than their ebay quote. More

I was unsuccesful with coming up with any money to put down on a vehicle.I didn't know what I was going to do. I was without a car for five (5) months when I went to St. Augustine Lighthouse Toyota. Everyone at St. Augustine Lighthouse Totota were all very nice and patient with me. Showing me vehicles that I might like and in my bubget to get financed. With no down payment, and my credit not at it's best, Reko Peterson was able to make this happen for me and my son. Thank you Reko Peterson from the bottom of my heart for working your magic and making this possible for us. God Bless. Our family has bought two used cars from this dealer...NEVER another. First one, attempted to sell the $500 "administrative fee" add-on to me. Refused to pay all but a bit of it, because net cost of car was OK. Second encounter, our daughter went in to buy her first "used, but new to her" car. Nailed her on that $500 fee, because of her naivete and fixation on car she just had to have. Last month, I visited to look for a RAV-4. Salesman yelled at us across the lot to start things off...ignored my statement that we were just beginnning to shop for a possible buy in six months or more...had no new cars in stock, began pushing the only used RAV he said they had. When we declined and repeatedly explained that all we wanted was preliminary info, he stalked away...still yelling at us. We will NEVER go back...Honda and Hyundai have stores just a few yards away and we will try there. More
talked us into an extended warranty, which has to this date (a year after we purchased the used prius) not covered ONE SINGLE THING that has gone wrong with the car (peeling paint, battery problems). sche date (a year after we purchased the used prius) not covered ONE SINGLE THING that has gone wrong with the car (peeling paint, battery problems). scheduled maintenance is SKY HIGH in price. They're the only Toyota dealership in the area, and I didn't want to have to travel to Jax for maintenance. More

Refused to honor my tires for life contract, simply because they choose not to any longer..& had the nerve to tell me I need new tires & tried to sell me new ones. I have taken my scion 2006 into this dealership on time for each and every recommended service & routine maintenance. There is no reason to refuse to honor my contract & I plan to gather all receipts & record & will contact the FCC. and possibly also Ken Amarro who helps consumers on the news. I know I am not alone & I am also in the right. Today (7-06-2009) was the worst unbelievably rude customer service ever! Looks like a new ownership or management, the atmosphere was very different from times past. The new group is turning the Toyota-Scion names to mud imo. More
