This was honestly the best car service experience I have encountered in a while. My sales person was Dominick Barksdale, and he was great! I told them the car I wanted and the goal I wanted to achieve and t encountered in a while. My sales person was Dominick Barksdale, and he was great! Dominick Barksdale my experience with Beaver Toyota was wonderful with the sales person Dominick Barksdale. I was not quite as pleased with the financial advisor but if it wasn’t for Dominick I probably wo wonderful with the sales person Dominick Barksdale. I took my 23 year old daughter there yesterday to look at used cars after being to several lots with great experiences. We got out of the car and immediately had a salesman (leaving names out) walk up to us. used cars after being to several lots with great experiences. We got out of the car and immediately had a salesman (leaving names out) walk up to us. Teaching my daughter how to handle buying a car, I let her handle what she wanted and her price range. The salesman took us to a small SUV that was +$7k over her price range and told her he could get it into her budget. I stepped away to take a phone call and when I got back my daughter & salesman were in the SUV. I explained to him that this was over her budget again and reiterated her parameters. He assured us that he could do it and would “fight” for us. I immediately looked online and found the SUV priced at $15,5k (it was priced at $23,5k on the lot) so we agreed to take a test drive. Of course the salesman was hard core selling “if we bought tonight, blah blah blah” the whole time knowing we had appointments today to look at other vehicles. My daughter told him that we would purchase if he would agree to fix a few little things and meet her budget out the door. We went inside and the salesman brought over the Car Fax. My daughter noticed the mileage was off and questioned him. He said sometimes they get the information over the phone and don’t correct it when the car comes in. I’m not sure if that is true or not. SO the first time the salesman came back at $2,7k over her budget. She said no. After several back and forth, the sales manager came over and tried to sway my daughter by asking leading questions and playing on her emotions. I was proud because she stood her ground! We got up to walk out after an hour & a half. The salesman said he messed up on the vehicle. There were 2 vehicles same make different models on the lot. It was the one he gave us the Car Fax on which had more miles. This was the vehicle he could put her in with her budget. Reluctantly we agreed to see it. He drove us to the back lot to see the Car Fax vehicle which shows no accidents. This SUV was obviously damaged and in bad shape. We walked out immediately and I will NEVER go back! It was the basic bait and switch scam if I’d ever seen one!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! How any salesperson or sales manager could do that to a 23 year old buying their first car is beyond me!?! More
