The dealership was recommended by our next door neighbor Jerry Compton. My husband and I came in with the idea of buying a new SUV, but after looking at the new design of the Ford Escape and looking at the Jerry Compton. My husband and I came in with the idea of buying a new SUV, but after looking at the new design of the Ford Escape and looking at the Ford Explorer both of the SUV's are very small inside and did not meet our needs. We explained to Joe that neither one of the vehicles met our needs, he then suggested a 2010 Ford Explorer he saw on the lot that could meet our needs. Joe showed us the Explorer and asked us if we wanted to take it for a test drive? My husband and I did take it for a test drive and I felt very comfortable in the vehicle. I had just totaled my 2003 Ford Ranger and I was uneasy about purchasing another vehicle. Joe made the purchase a bit easier for us. We have had our vehicle only 1 day and so far I love it. I have only driven it around the Huber Heights area and shopping was easier with the Explorer. We are going to put running boards on the Explorer later this week and I am hoping our experience will be the same as our experience was when we purchased our Explorer More
Great group to work with. Even though I had past credit issues, they treated me with respect and understanding, worked hard to get me into the vehicle of my choice. Had a great experience at Beau Townsend buying a certified vehicle. Tim was a true professional and management went above and beyond to get the deal done. Even the finance guy (Michael Condron) went certified vehicle. Tim was a true professional and management went above and beyond to get the deal done. Beau Townsend Ford Lincoln took the sales experience "shark" myth and turned it on its head. Having a background working in the automotive industry for the last ten years, I was already confident in wha "shark" myth and turned it on its head. Having a background working in the automotive industry for the last ten years, I was already confident in what vehicle and terms I was interested in. My purchase was however, site unseen except for pictures and a description on the internet. The internet sales specialist, George Davell went out of his way to be honest, fair and upfront about every aspect of the car. I was picked up at the airport as quickly as I could walk from the plane to the curb. Once at the dealership the sale was fast and the only surprises I encountered was the honesty and genuine interest in my satisfaction. Now I have exactly the car I want with an extended genuine Ford Factory Warranty at a price that was very reasonable. More
Let me start by saying that I am an Army trained mechanic in the Army Reserve, a full time civilian heavy equipment mechanic at Wright Patterson AFB, I also worked as a tech for pep boys auto in 07-08 with t in the Army Reserve, a full time civilian heavy equipment mechanic at Wright Patterson AFB, I also worked as a tech for pep boys auto in 07-08 with that being said. I traded a car with no mechanical problems because my needs had changed and bought a truck (08 F150 FX4 super crew) for $26,000 + $1200 on an actual FORD extended warranty and was assured it was a good reliable vehicle by a very friendly sales staff and within one week had 3 issues with it, one of which could lead to a catastrophic drive train failure, and all 3 of my problems should have been found if they actually did the vehicle inspection they said they done. problem number 1. a faulty 4X4 engagement solenoid, that was causing my 4x4hi indicator light to flash when i switched back and fourth from 2hi to 4hi. this problem was caused by a vacuum leak under the hood leading to the solenoid. that issue was fixed under warranty no problem : ) problem number 2. 3 days after buying the truck i'm on the highway going to work and the ABS trouble light illuminates. after i get to work i shut the ignition off, restart the engine and the light goes out. on the way home it comes back on. that later turned out to be a bad front wheel bearing tripping the ABS sensor. The salesman informed me before i bought the truck that they had put new tires on it. At most service center it is standard practice to check wheel bearings, suspension and steering components every time a vehicle goes on a lift, (those parts commonly wear out and they're easy to make money on due to safety concerns) as if that wasn't enough one would think that front wheel bearings would be part of a vehicle inspection at a major new car dealer prior to selling one. Anyway way that was fixed under warranty : ) problem number 3. (the big one). Going down the highway and i press slightly on the gas and as it the transmission down shifts the entire truck shakes violently like i hit a rumble strip., after driving another twenty miles home I had pin pointed the problem enough that i could trigger it on demand, and i knew what it was. the problem was the torque converter shuttering on lockup. When the service advisor called me and told me that the first 2 problems had been fixed i was very happy and he said they had done a fluid and filter change on the tranny. this is a good start to the issue but i knew it would not fix it because transmission fluid won't fix mechanical damage, however since i dont work on cars a said ok great maybe they know something i dont and picked up my truck. Three blocks down the road u had to turn around and take it back because the shuttering problem was still very present. upon returning to Beau Townsend i asked the service advisor to go on a short ride with me so i could show him the problem was still there and he did. after showing him how to trigger the issue I left for the second time in a courtesy car. the next day (ten days after buying) they call back and say my truck is ready and when i ask what they did he said he spoke with the service manager and the tech working on it and they acknowledged there was a torque converter problem, but instead of replacing it they decided to put a friction modifying additive in it (yet another LIQUID fix for a MECHANICAL problem) a friction modifier is a heat activated anti-wear (not miracle repair) agent that bonds to metal and forms a super slick coating to reduce metal to metal friction basically what it does is hide the symptoms of wear, and in my case eliminate torque shutter by forming a cushion like layer of lube on everything it touches but the root problem still remains, I explained to them that I knew what a friction modifier was and that i knew it was a band aid on a bullet wound, not a real fix because there’s no way it will repair worn parts (it only helps prevent future wear), and i explained i travel alot and i would be towing an 18ft trailer and i could not afford to get stranded, Derek the service advisor said he understood my issue, and anyway to my displeasure i was asked to take it and drive it for a couple weeks to see if the modifier would help and if not then they would replace my torque converter. This to me is like a middle finger in the face since i knew, and they know i knew it would not fix the problem. when i asked Derek if they were gona come rescue me and my trailer when their bad business practices leave me stranded by the side of the road 4hrs from home, another service advisor butted in and said no but you did buy a roadside assistance plan with your warranty.........................................right now i am driving a $26,000 ticking time bomb waiting to get stranded because i paid $1200 for a FORD warranty that Beau Townsend is taking short cuts on their promise because they even though they sold me a $26,000 lemon they don’t want to give me a free torque converter, and IF my warranty expires before it goes i will have to pay another $1000 to fix something they refused to replace that was covered by my $1200 warranty More

We went to the dealership to purchase a 2013 Ford Escape. However we ended up purchasing a 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. Our salesman, Mike was very helpful by listening and answering all our questions. We never felt pressured or hurried to make a decision or a purchase. This is one reason we returned to the dealership to make our purchase. Mike took time to explain the systems of the vehicle after our purchase and offered to be of assistance if at any time we had any questions. He has followed up after the sale to make sure everything was going well with the vehicle and to see if we had any questions. Excellent customer service. More

Hello, I bought my present f150 from beau t. in 98/99 , the salesman was mike turner. Financing never came out of his mouth until I brought it up in our sales transaction .this was a quality sales experie the salesman was mike turner. Financing never came out of his mouth until I brought it up in our sales transaction .this was a quality sales experience. I saw a truck I might be interested in on your website in late december. I came by your dealership, it wasn't there. I work nearby, so I came back the following day and it was there. A salesman came out (mark tindall) and I requested a test drive. He informed me he had driven the truck somewhere, he had tie-down straps in the truck so had probably towed something. There was 500+ miles on it I think more than listed on the site. He said it was close to empty on gas, it indicated about 30 miles before empty so I drove around vandalia. While I was test driving he said that my truck wouldn't start, I told him it was a manual transmission, you need to push in the clutch, he made some smartalec comment that he knows how to start a truck, of course I went out pushed in the clutch and it started right up,just as it has every day since I owned it. I wanted to talk about buying it and sat down with him. He threw some financing paper in front of me, I told him I didn't need it, I planned on writing a check and use my truck in trade. He continued to talk about financing/payments for some time, so I had to remind him again I did not need it. I finally got tired of his insistence on payments and told him I would write a check for x amount and my truck. He made no comment, made no counter offer ,made no statement on trade value of my truck, nothing, just stared at his computer.after about 20 minutes I got tired of waiting so I shook his hand , he took my number and said he would call.of course he never did. So is this how you do business now? I will sum it up its okay for your salesmen take trucks off the lot , run up hundreds of miles on it and leave it empty? Sounds shady to me Do your salesmen know how to sell vehicles without harrassing people with financing who clearly don't want it? Obviously not Do your salesmen know how make a counter offer ? Apparently Not Do your salesmen know how to determine trade in values? I guess not. Do they know how to start a truck or know how to return phone calls ? no More
