Outstanding Used Car Purchase Experience! When my wife and I were looking for a good used vehicle, we visited several dealerships and drove many vehicles, including cars of individual owners. When my wife and I were looking for a good used vehicle, we visited several dealerships and drove many vehicles, including cars of individual owners. When we were unable to find the right car at Beaman Toyota, I asked our salesman, Derek McFarlin, to see if he could find us a good car. I had asked the same question of other salesman through the process of looking for a car. A car purchase is a considerable investment that takes time and patience to find the right vehicle, dealership, deal, etc. Only a few of the sales people followed up and called us when they found a car that would work for us. After a week or two, Derek called. He felt that he had found the right car for us. After initially seeing and driving the car myself I was very pleased with what Derek had found. I actually was very serious about an Acura MDX at another dealership when Derek called and was just about to purchase it. However, I got very interested in the Lexus RX350 that Derek had called about. I then had my wife join me to look at the Lexus. She also had seen the MDX at the other lot and was also interested in it. However, after she saw the Lexus at Beaman Toyota that Derek had called me about, we decided to purchase it instead of the MDX at the other dealership. If Derek had not called, we probably would have bought the MDX. Also, David Duncan did a great job working up the financing for us! We purchased the vehicle on a Sunday but were not able to pick it up until Tuesday. When I arrived to pick up the Lexus on Tuesday, David came out to the main floor. “I’ve got great news for you,” he expressed, “I was able to get a lower interest rate for you!” David took that extra step and saved us more than 2 points on the interest rate, more than a $700 savings over the life of the loan! Also, Derek’s sales manager, Mike Miles, was extremely helpful in serving us throughout the entire process! On other thing: I was completely unprepared for the work that was performed on the Lexus. When I went to pick it up that Tuesday morning, I discovered that not only did they do an excellent job cleaning and detailing the vehicle, they also had rotated and balanced the tires, replaced the cabin filter, changed the oil and filter, replaced the wiper blades, replaced a headlamp and replaced the front brakes…Are You Kidding Me! I am 63 years old. I have bought several new and used vehicles throughout my life. And I never have bought a used vehicle from a dealership that did as much work on a vehicle I purchased and without me asking or even knowing it needed to be done! Thank you, Derek McFarlin, David Duncan and Beaman Toyota for doing an outstanding job! I have already recommended Derek and Beaman to another person and will continue to do so! George Allin More

Poor price, poor service I and my wife were shopping for a new car today. Below is a brief comparison (by numbers) of dealerships we visited today, which I post as a review for all 3 of them. For those who do not want to go into these numbers, here is a short summary: Beaman Toyota and Toyota of Cool Springs were trying to make us pay $900 - $1150 over the fair deal plus unreasonably high fees. Nelson Mazda gave us a fair deal and the lowest fees. My estimate of the "fair deal" is based on the KBB prices. Now, here are the numbers. Beaman Toyota, Nashville Time spent at the dealership (excluding test drive): 1.5 hours Price negotiated for the new car (after all rebates and discounts but before fees and taxes): KBB "fair price" + $700 Price negotiated for the trade in: KBB "trade in price" - $350 Total Fees: Never made it precise. My estimate based on the final OTD price is $600. Comments: All type of dirty games played by the dealership, including seemingly fake Vanderbilt employee discount and "this is our final offer, but we may improve it" Toyota of Cool Springs Time spent at the dealership (excluding test drive): 35 min Price negotiated for the new car (after all rebates and discounts but before fees and taxes): KBB "fair price" + $350 Price negotiated for the trade in: KBB trade in price -$550 Total Fees: $820 Comments: All type of dirty games played by the dealership, including seemingly fake Vanderbilt employee discount and "sign an obligation to buy it for this price and then I'll talk to my manager". Nelson Mazda Cool Springs Time spent at the dealership (excluding test drive): 25 min Price negotiated for the new car (after all rebates and discounts but before fees and taxes): KBB "fair price". Price negotiated for the trade in: KBB trade in price. Total Fees: $500 Comments: Everything was clear and straightforward. Summary: Toyota dealers did their best to get rid of a loyal customer. And they succeeded. We bought Mazda. You choose :) More

Service charge of $131.92 to estimate work of $1282+tax I took 2004 Toyota Highlander to Toyota Service to investigate A/C cycling between hot and cold. They did not tell me the actual charges for diagnosis but just that the charges will be adjusted if I repaired the car. As it turns, they gave me an estimate of $1282+tax and I declined further work, so they charged me $131.92 for diagnosis. On my return, I searched the internet and found youtube video https://youtu.be/Igch5zayvtg to fix it myself within an 1.5 hr. All it was to solder 3 wires under the dashboard. To me, it boils down to professional misconduct or lack of knowledge of their own product. Beaman Toyota has lost all credibility with me. More
Service Dept. Only. 1st experience. They left empty quart of oil for drainage from oil filter in engine. Spraying oil all over. Never cleaned up mess, just replaced serpe 1st experience. They left empty quart of oil for drainage from oil filter in engine. Spraying oil all over. Never cleaned up mess, just replaced serpentine belt. Cause it got chewed up from bottle. 2nd experience. They told me 1 hr. For oil change. Actual time- approx 2.5 hrs. For oil change. 3rd experience. Rotate/ balance/ alignment. Alignment OK. Worst balancing job ever. They said my tires, oversized and impossible to balance properly. But Discount Tire Co. Has no problem getting it right every 5k. Only took it to Toyota to cut out an extra stop!! So I paid Beamon, to do a bad job on my tires, where I get it done for free at DTC!! Also they broke my center cap on one of my rims. Why would you break a customers car, and try to hide it?? Not factory rims!! When you have a valid issue. Its funny and frustrating, when the service writer, tries talking to you as if you were an 18 yr old woman that knows nothing about cars!! More
what a joke. i called to ask what the difference between the 2 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited were besides the years and miles they had listed on there website was, f i called to ask what the difference between the 2 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited were besides the years and miles they had listed on there website was, first one 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited had only 72000 mile listed and one owner(listed on site for 11,300, the 2nd was a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 138,000 (listed for 11500), after getting the run around they said they did not show the 2004 in the system but the 2005 was, as i was looking at the site i said oh looks like one is the Beaman dealership in murfreesboro to the point of the dude said well it is not showing on my computer, i asked if he went to there web site to look and he said no but wanted to know if i would like to come in and do a test drive, i said no i would go look at the one in murfreesboro because it had less miles and 1 owner listed . guy asked if he could have my name and phone # should anything else come in he would give me a call to this point i said no you have been no help so far so why give my # to someone that will prob try and sale it to a telemarkerter. i head to the boro lot and began to look around found the 2004 jeep which was in nice shape and was treated nice till i went to trade in my car(2007 350z was looking for something not so hard to get into and had more room and safe to drive during the winter.) the tires were wore some but they try to tell me they were Dry rotted (lie #1 i had just had my car serviced the day before and was told the tread was around 50% but would be good for a while.) then proceed to tell me that it would cost about 2500$ to replace (lie #2 i had just had a set quoted while i was getting it serviced and tax labor and all was 475$). when i asked about the one here (nashville) and they said wait looked it up showed it there and said yea for that one we would do an even trade, call this dealer and said that it was actually in admissions to see if anything was wrong with it i asked if they could have it brought to this location, they called and proceeded to tell me it was in admissions, so i wait 30 mins dude comes out and tells me it is going to cost like 2500$ to repair so they was just going to ship it to auction. so looking here on auto trader 3 days later and both jeeps are listed so i call Beaman of Nashville again just to see if they jeep was still on the lot, and yup it still there still same price, wanted to know if i wanted to come in and test drive again and i said nope i don't deal with dealerships that lie way to much and when called out on it still want to know if you want the car. i know they all lie, but treat me nice like the people that did when i bought my first car the 2007 350Z and i will leave better reviews.
