I bought a 2013 Ram 1500 from Steven & Ian. RIGHT after trading in my wife's car & driving off the lot, the truck lost power before I even made it to the first light. I took it back to them imm RIGHT after trading in my wife's car & driving off the lot, the truck lost power before I even made it to the first light. I took it back to them immediately and told them this wasn't going to work. They said they'd take a look at it. After 4 weeks and many attempts to get updates on what's going on, they called me back to say the truck was fixed. (To be transparent, they did give me 2 loaners to use during this time.) When I went to pick-up, they wouldn't give me a report, diagnosis or anything. I drove the truck straight from the dealership and made it just north of Downtown Houston before the truck died on me again in the middle of the road with no control over acceleration. When I took it to get a 3rd party inspection the day after, the inspector told me that the truck is COULD NOT have legitimately passed inspection for the registration due to many issues including dry-rotted tires and the additional indicator lights that are popping up (Check Engine, ABS, & stability control). This dealership COULDN'T have inspected it to the best of their knowledge and the "little" cylinder problem that should only be a few hundred was much more. In addition the cylinder problem, the repairmen told me is actually a bad motor that going to cost xxxx near as much as for the truck to repair (+$8000). I took it to another mechanic & also another dealership for a second opinion and they said the same.Experiences like this make it SO hard to trust car salesmen because of shadiness, dishonesty and deception like this. DO NOT trust them and take every measure to protect yourself. I sure wish I did a better job at it. More

Hello Everyone, I want to share my most recent experience today at Baytown Nissan. I am in search for a Nissan vehicle, and received a call from Betty from Baytown who advised me that the vehicle experience today at Baytown Nissan. I am in search for a Nissan vehicle, and received a call from Betty from Baytown who advised me that the vehicle I am looking for is in transit. I went ahead and stopped by at Baytown Nissan, so that I could leave a deposit and reserve the vehicle. Upon arrival, I spoke with Ruben and Justin that were discussing the pricing of the vehicle with me. I agreed to paying the sticker price for the vehicle plus tax, tile and license fees. Despite that, Baytown Nissan refused to sale me the vehicle. Baytown Nissan refused to sell me the vehicle as they wanted me to purchase additional add ons that were sold directly by their dealership, not the manufacturer. The vehicle would not come with these add-ons, however, when the vehicle arrives, they would add them to the vehicle and then sell me the vehicle. They made this mandatory. These additional add-ons are the tints, wheel-locks, paint coating, etc, and sum up the drive out price by an additional $7,000.00 -- this is absolutely horrible and complete injustice for consumers who are buying a vehicle. That means if you are looking forward to spending $48,000 (MSRP + including TTL) be ready to pay another $7,000 for their in-house add-ons or else they will completely refuse to sell you the vehicle. Can I afford the extra $7,000, absolutely! Why should I not pay? It's equally wrong if I was to sell you a burger based solely on the contingency that you must buy the soda and fries as well or else, you don't deserve my business. Should we really support such dealerships and their businesses, if they carry out these work ethics and moral values; towards their consumers. In my most humble opinion, absolutely not. If in their own legal writing "per Baytown Nissan Dealership Management" they state add on's are excluded from the MSRP, then how can they refuse business to someone that is buying the vehicle at MSRP plus TTL. Only because I did not want to pay extra for their in-house dealership add-ons that I don't need. This is super wrong, and this behavior should not be supported at all (if you have the funds or you don't). Might as well wait and go electric at a reasonable rate. You take advantage of COVID and you justify yourself by comparing yourself to every other dealer doing it, than what is the difference between right or wrong, if they both equal the same. I am sure someone else will buy the vehicle for the extra $7,000, but at least, today I walked away keeping my $48,000, and knowing I didn't support a wrong cause. By the way, I called the Sugar Land Nissan dealership, and asked them what price would they sell the same "additional in house dealership add-ons for; they quoted $1,300 for the same in-house dealership add-ons. That's $5,700 more that you are quoting. I hope you go buy a sandwich today and someone tells you that cannot have it, if you don't put tomatoes, onions, lettuce and ketchup on it. I want you to experience how that feels as a consumer. And to everyone else reading this message, when you call and ask dealerships about any vehicle pricing, make sure you ask them first what the in-house dealership add-ons are costing you? This will help you determine the true cost you are going to pay. Unfortunately, a cost that you may not even need to accrue, it's just more of a bully move on their end. Sincerely, Sachin S. More
