I have had very positive experiences dealing with Nick as my service advisor. When I began going to to the dealership, I was unaware that I would be dealing with Nick for the remainder of the time I own my my service advisor. When I began going to to the dealership, I was unaware that I would be dealing with Nick for the remainder of the time I own my car. When I learned that he will be my advisor for the time I own my car, I was very happy because of the rapport we had established with one another, and the care he shows for the needs of the customer. I could not be happier. Love owning a Volkswagen and being a customer of this dealership! More
I brought my 2008 VW GTI in for repair of a sunroof drain leak. The appointment was for 7:30 am on a Wednesday morning. The car was promised back on Thursday by 5:30 pm. I brought the car in Tuesday at 5: leak. The appointment was for 7:30 am on a Wednesday morning. The car was promised back on Thursday by 5:30 pm. I brought the car in Tuesday at 5:30 pm so they could start working on it first thing Wednesday morning. After not receiving a phone call for 2 days, I called the service advisor, Nick Sinacore, at 2:30 pm Thursday to check the status. He told me they couldn't find the leak and they needed to keep the car another day. After not receiving a phone call all day Friday, I called Nick again and got his voicemail. I left a message and called the receptionist to speak with a Manager. The receptionist, Anna, said the Manager, Bob Torres, was on a conference call and he would call me back. I never received a phone call from Bob Torres. Finally Nick called me at 4:32 pm, and told me they found the leak, but they needed to keep the car longer to repair it. I asked what they did up to this point and he told me the mechanic put sealant on the sunroof drain hose but it was still leaking. I told him I needed the car back for the weekend and I was going to pick it up as-is and repair it myself, When I inspected the car at home, there was NO sealant installed on the sunroof drain hose. In summary: 1. The car was not completed when promised (2 days to seal sunroof drain hoses.) 2. No phone calls initiated by the Service advisor to give me the status 3. No return phone call from the Service Director. 4. They Service Advisor lied about sealant being installed on the sunroof drain hose. You decide if you want to bring your VW to Bayside VW for service. As expected, Bayside VW did not send a feedback survey to me. On a separate note, I own three VW's, a GTI, a Rabbit, and a Tiguan and have done business for years with the Bayside VW parts department which is a first class operation. More
The service employees were very friendly towards my situation and I definitely would recommend. The employees were not only very focused on tiny details, but also very polite. I recently purchased a 2013 Passat from an out-of-state dealership. As I live in Little Neck I decided to develop a service relationship with Bayside VW. On 3/11 I scheduled an appointment for 3/13 @ 8am dealership. As I live in Little Neck I decided to develop a service relationship with Bayside VW. On 3/11 I scheduled an appointment for 3/13 @ 8am to install my permanent plates (I figured start small to test my experience). I was never advised of a fee for the service despite my request of same. The location was conveniently located but with poor signage its passable. The general demeanor of the reception staff was congenial and the facility was clean. I thought it strange that the receptionist strictly asked my name and told me to take a seat while I waited for Chris. My car sat parked in the service reception area exceptionally long while other vehicles moved quickly through, again I restate that I had a scheduled appointment. As the seating area was a full glass wall, I got to witness my 2 week old Passat come within inches of a rear end collision as I am assuming the valet wasn't looking behind him while he reversed; the other vehicle was there when he entered my Passat. I chalked it up as a spoof. Then 24 minutes after my check in Chris calls out my name and escorts me back to reception. We get to the front desk and he then informs me that the 4 holes he needs to drill into my front fender for the plate installation will take approximately 30 minutes, after waiting 24 and having a scheduled appointment, and I will be charged for the time spent. I hit the ceiling but politely requested my car back. He made no attempts to persuade me to reconsider, he was aware that I purchased it out-of-state and should've been looking to the future to develop a relationship. The same valet brings my Passat back and as I wasn't the only one outside waiting he just went on to the next person, no form of greeting. This is not my first time at any service center let alone a VW service center. I advise anyone reading this to go to Platinum VW in Hicksville, not only are they extremely courteous from the valet to the service manager, and respectful of your time, but the staff has gone over and above to address any issues or concerns I ever experienced. You never need to wait more than 2 minutes to be seated in the service rep's office (not open forum like Bayside, this poor woman next to me had to speak in almost a whisper to discuss her concerns at Bayside) to discuss your appointment. I personally have given Platinum numerous surveys and never given them less than an exceptional rating. Considering the neighborhood Bayside service is located I was expecting nothing less than exemplary service and they completely failed. More
Marlene has always been professional and extremely nice. She has been my service advisor for three years. I feel that if I ever have a problem that I can call her and she will help us out. We recently had a She has been my service advisor for three years. I feel that if I ever have a problem that I can call her and she will help us out. We recently had a big service done and Marlene was very upfront with the cost of the service and explained exactly what was entailed. She also made sure that I was able to get a loaner car, which was very important for me. The car was fixed and casme back to me cleaner than when I brought it in. Marlene is the reason why we just last week traded our 2010 Touareg for the 2013 model with Bayside Volkwagen. We had purchased the 2010 somewhere else but because of the great people at the service department we went over to the Sales department. Marlene is an excellent member of the Sales team! More
It all started one day prior the appointment when they called me to confirm the appointment and to ask what will I be looking to do once I get there. I told them I need to check transmission oil (NOT to c called me to confirm the appointment and to ask what will I be looking to do once I get there. I told them I need to check transmission oil (NOT to change it as it was new) so the lady that called me put me on hold to ask an "advisor" after 2 minutes she got back and said that the advisor said the transmission oil doesn't need changing. I should have known since then that they are clueless as even the manufacturer has every 40k miles mandatory transmission change but hey ... I learn the hard way. So I show up on Saturday I had an appointment at 10:15 got there at 10:00 AM gave my car asked for tranny oil check and if needed top it up. And I sat down to wait, after an hour all those that came before me left after another hour 5 people that came after me had their jobs finished and left, after another 30 minutes I went to ask what is going on since I was waiting for 2 and a half hours for a 20 minutes job. The great advisor Nick Sicanore states well this is a lengthy job that require the transmission to be at a certain temperature ... I look at him and say ...yes at a certain temperature meaning 45-90 Celsius which means it needs to be driven so the oil gets in to the torques converter, then I say I am waiting for 2.5 hour for a 20 minutes job. At that point fellow NICK SICANORE said very profound that checking the oil is the same level of effort as changing it ... I suddenly realized that I was taken as an idiot, and most probably will be ripped off but I decided to wait a little more. After another 30 minutes I went to see if they started working on my car the car was still parked in the sun and no one even touched it. I went back to Nick Sicanore ad asked what is happening then he faked going in the shop and came back smiling saying they are working on it ... That's it ... at that point I felt I had enough and said look buddy the car is parked in the back and you are telling me your guys are working on it ?? I am not going to continue all the names they got from me but I just want to share with you all my horrendous experience and to advise you not to consider their services based on the feedback you see on this website as it is not accurate. God forbid you are a woman or an old man you have the word victim engraved on your forehead at that point... I have had several cars from Mercedes, Saab to VW none of the dealers is as pitiful as this one. This guy Sicanore should be working in a McDonalds flipping burgers not in a German cars dealership. Nick Sicanore is a rude, unprofessional, and on top of everything a liar that just puts his employer in the top worst dealerships in the area. This being said if you feel adventurous to go there and you find Nick Sicanore still working there you can certainly understand that clients do not matter, client satisfaction is not considered and your work will probably take and cost three times more than normal.
