We apologize for your less than satisfactory experience in our service department. At the time of your visit, our service department was extremely busy with cars that had earlier appointments; this made it impossible to bring your vehicle on to the service floor prior to your appointment time. The service technician that specializes in this type of matter was not readily available which prolonged the service process. We understand your frustration and we apologize for the lack of communication. Bayside Volkswagen always appreciates comments from our customers so we can improve our procedures in order to serve you better in the future. We are extremely sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with your experience at our service department. Bayside Volkswagen prides itself on not only selling exceptional vehicles, but also repairing them with state-of-the-art equipment and Volkswagen certified technicians. Our service manager was disappointed to hear of your experience as well. He acknowledges that while our new service advisor gave you no incorrect information, he should've made a better effort to accommodate you, as one of our more seasoned advisors would have. In regards to your license plate issue, the out-of-state dealership who sold you the vehicle should have installed the front plate on your vehicle, as while they're not necessary in NJ - front plates are mandatory in NY and the dealer would've known that selling you the vehicle. When a vehicle is sold Volkswagen corporate will compensate the manufacturer for any costs, who in turn passes the savings on to the consumer. Unfortunately, if we haven't sold the vehicle to you, there is no reimbursement to the dealership and the customer incurs the costs. Again, we're sorry for not better accommodating your needs, but we hope that we have shed some light on this issue and that you will allow our dealership an opportunity to serve you again in the future, as we are still very much interested in building a relationship with you and customers like you.
